Ted: Now your dads going of it in you own room Bill: Shut up, Ted Ted: Your step mom is cute, though Bill:Shut up, Ted! Ted: Remember when I asked her to the prom Bill: SHUT UP, TED!!!! Ted makes me laugh
The first one is like a command, like stop that The second one is just annoyed, like he sometimes hates Ted for this reason The third one he shouts because he’s not getting his point across......Ted does but then just smiles.
Say what you will about the awkward sexy jokes they have at her expense but Missy does take mothering seriously. This whole movie alone, she gives Bill a study snack, shows concern over his school work and at the end even makes sure he does his chores before he could continue to do the adventure. How many stepmoms in fiction let alone ones that just got straight out of Highschool can say they put in that effort?
She also seems VERY familiar with their history teacher. I think she would have gotten them a passing grade even if their report hadn't been so spectacular.
It's hilarious and kind of sad at 0:55 when the dad gives them money for a dinner break and she looks sadly down at her little plate of sandwiches. Like she's genuinely trying to be a good mom and nobody appreciates it. :D
So she’s just out of highschool the dad married her and the stepson used to have a crush on her? They did that mainly visually and without too much telling, I love it. Hillarious!
Take all of those actions then add on how she said to tell the teacher, 'Hi.' and the looks they gave each other when she came in during the report and sat next to him. I don't think Missy relied strictly on her brain to get through history class.
Honestly I’d be super uncomfortable if I was in that position. Imagine a former classmate of yours married your father and tries to be a parent to you. That’d be weird as hell.
Well yeah I watched this when I was like 11 years old & I couldn't understand all of it, also I thought Bill's dad was a bit of a weirdo but today I think he was just the Man!!
You know, if you'd asked me back then when I first saw the movies which one of them I thought would have gone on to have a sustained career, I would have totally said Alex Winters.
Near the end at the history presentation at school, Sigmund Freud, after counseling Ted, ask Bill if he wants to be counseled, to which he says rather nonchalantly: “Naw, I just have a slight Oedipal complex.” That makes this scene even dirtier, but it’s done in such a way that it flies over the kids heads.
This was a bit before my time because I was a 90s kid, I managed to persuade my parents to video tape it for me. I never got bored of watching it, the soundtrack really made an impression on me and got me into 80s metal much later. I still can't name many of the bands on their but I know Extreme made their mark on it.
I just rewatched this movie, hilarious but something about the shot where his dad closes the door is so foreboding and creepy I can't get it out of my head
90s Alex winter was not an actor. 2000s Alex winter wasn't either. 2010 Alex winter was that guy who was in that vintage movie. 2020s Alex winter might be in a reboot. But yeah, he was excellent in one movie.
I find it quite interesting from a psychological sociology point of view. when you consider paedophile paranoia in 2019 and you realise bill, Ted and Missy all went to school together and now bills dad is fucking her in bills bedroom. There is actually quite a few films that show scenes like this and nobody seems to notice.
Dude I bought there neca toys years ago and still there my favorite things in my collection thank you to these great men in life that I got through my hard and depressed times such icons of this great world 🙏🤘🏻🤘🏻be excellent to eachother and party on dudes!
Two things. 1) Mr. Preston is dressed like Fred Rogers. 2) I never realized until recently that the food Missy, I mean Mom, maked is burnt. I thought they were éclairs.
@@luciherdzez1941 lol honestly though I don't Bill's dad is actually the problem, considering Missy ends up divorcing him, then marries Ted's dad, then divorces him, and then ends up marrying DEACON, Ted's little brother of all people. I think Missy has thing with hooking up with men from the same family or at least that are associated to one another. If Bill and Ted hadn't met and fallen in love with the princesses, she probably would have done the same thing to them sooner or later. 😂
I didn't watch this movie until yesterday, but I've seen this clip before and it wasn't until i watched the movie that i learned that she is his Step mother and that made the scene a whole less creepy
I was looking through the comments to see if anyone else had already said this but they haven't... Missy was in the same year at school as Bill and Ted....
It’s a kind of pathology going on here. The dad fantasy. These days older men just use dating apps back then could you imagine being an old dude trying to meet a young girl? Things have changed so much
Ted's smile at the end is so perfect...
Peter Richardson its so funny
lol made me laugh
Me and my mom crack up every time

best part of the scene hahaha

I know, Keanu Reeves really is such a WAKKO in this movie. 😂😂😂😂
Ted: Hey, remember when you got your Mom pre--
Bill: SHUT UP, TED!!!!!
It's so funny the way Bill turns around with a bewildered face when he knows that HIS DAD IS GOING FOR IT IN HIS OWN ROOM! LOOOOOL
Shut up Ted
1:06🤣
Ted smiling because he knows Bill can't stay mad at that face.
Nobody can. ☺
Unless you watched The Day the Earth Stood Still remake.
We are destined to flunk most agreigously tomorrow.
Good....Good....why don't you guys take a tenner break?
adverb
adverb: egregiously
in an outstandingly bad way; shockingly.
Not if Rufus has anything to say about it
Quite the vocabulary for such airheads lol
Now, college graduates can't even spell egregiously correctly, let alone define it without the internet.

LMAO! I love this movie.
"Hi Missy! Er... I mean...Mom..."
That phrase has popped into my head occasionally for decades, lol.

Why yes, I am capable of object permanence. And yes, I do rock. Thanks for the compliment.
I rock because I saw this on tv in the early 2000s.
ted's little laugh is so cute. omg.
That cute smile - 01:23
I agree, I REALLY DO like that smile :)
@@spawn760 From my point of view his smile shows off a playful innocence and that's why I like it!!! ;-)
ted is so pure
She brings them food, and then dad tells them "why don't you take a dinner break" and kicks them out.
Bogus Journey:
"I can't believe your mom divorced your dad, and married mine."

Cutest duo everrr! 😆😍 ...need a Bill and Ted in my life !

Bill's face as the door closes cracks me up every time XD
"It's your mom, dude!"
Ted reminds me of a guy named Reanu Keeves
Lol
A classic scene that will live forever in the hearts and minds of anyone who went to high school in the '80s...
Is it me? Or is this so much funnier watching it 30 years later in your 40's??
Shut up Ted.
Absolutely...as a teen watching this film I thought it was sickening and hilarious....now as a 41 year old....this gives me hope! 🤣🤣
Damn Right!

The look Bill gives as they close the door :p
He wants to learn history 😂😂😂
from the way missy said "tell him hi" you can just tell something happened between her and mr ryan
Why does bill's face remind me of Sylvester Stallone?
thought the same thing as a kid
Except that Stallone is italian.
It’s the eyes
Omo too true
Woah I can see it

Yeah.........🤔😑😔.
He still did just not in acting. Jeez give the poor guy a break.
He had a hilarious show on MTV called The Idiot Box for a while. Then he became a filmmaker.
Gotta love how burnt those sandwiches are

Bill would have said at 01:23 when Ted grinned I’m serious.

I just met Bill's dad last weekend. J. Patrick McNamara. Very nice guy. Retired now. His filmography is a pretty impressive list.

Which is funny because Strike Back has trolls referring them as and I quote "A third rate Cheech and Chong or Bill and Ted."
Whenever Johnny Silverhand says things to me in CyberPunk 2077 I say “shut up Ted!” 😂
That song upon Missy's entrance, making me think that she's from the East side.
