I saw Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure in a theater when it first came out, and while I liked it, for some reason it didn't really gel with me. But in 1991, there was some presentation given at my high school which used clips from different movies, and it used a bunch of clips from Bill & Ted, and I decided to rent it and give it another chance, and it became my favorite movie for a time. I kept watching it over and over again. Fortunately for me, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey came out that summer and I went to see it twice at the theater! On another note, I also got a job at a movie theater that summer, and wouldn't you know, when they finally got Bill & Ted, the owner had me go outside with him to pick up garbage in the alley - I was so mad, because usually I would watch the movie during down time, and of course he'd wait until they got a movie I really liked to make me do that!
As young kids growing up in the mid 90s my cousin and I used to love these guys! He was Bill and I was Ted! I still watch Bogus Journey on vhs 📼 till this day. Brings back so many great memories. Unfortunately my cousin Passed away when he was about 19 yrs of age. Rock In Paradise Sid the Squid 🦑🛹🎸 Party on, dudes!
"We wrote our own song, and it's cool because Keanu and I don't really know how to play, but we both like music and know a fair bit about guitars." That's very reminiscent of the speech their daughters give in the 3rd movie. ;D
If I remember correctly several years ago I saw a photo on a movie prop website that sold merchandise from movies and it showed Ted's clothing from Bogus Journey but the guy that privately owned it said it wasn't for sale.
Wow! Once you know the ending of this movie, MTV really spoiled A LOT of stuff here 🤣 I also loved that, without any context, they used footage of the Good Robot Bill & Ted while Keanu and Alex discussed the Evil Robot Bill & Ted
3:45 I always heard that line "and maybe they'll even go away during the credits near the tail end and wondered where the heck it came from cuz I watched this movie religiously as a kid and 20-30 years later I finally got to find out. It wasn't in the final cut but someone decided to put that sound byte in the end credits. Sorta poetic. Alternative ending cut line put at the end credits, idk. They actually went with a poignant speech after learning to play with the booth. Epic. It wouldn't have made sense to just suddenly be able to play.

For instance, the good robots originally run in the wrong direction, and the evil robots kill Bill & Ted again. But since they beat the Grim Reaper so many times, they tell him that he owes them, so he brings them back again. Also, the Grim Reaper's rap is much longer. And when the good robots do finally come back and punch the heads off the bad robots, one of the heads ends up in Denomolos' hands and explodes, killing him and sending him to Hell. Then Bill and Ted give the "face your fears" speech. Quite a few differences from the actual movie.
This scene is from the original ending before they reshot the battle of the bands! Originally they were confronted by the monster versionf of their fears in the real world after leaving the hardware store. They end up facing and making peace with them. Bill sits down with his grandma and has tea with her, which is what he's referring to when he says to "offer them a honeybun"

Loved them 2 and the 3 movies now ..but the ones from the late 80s and early 90s remind me of summertime pools sprinklers parks and baseball
