A murder can be between 25 years to life depending on the situation, an attempt of murder is treated them same but since the crime wasn't successful they can't take on extra things to extend the sentence also every case is different but the defendent most likely declared heat of the moment or insanity lowering a sentence and allowing reformation in some cases, the real question is why the fuck did patrick only get charged with kidnapping

Moreover, it was torture in itself! Buried alive and left to die. Attempted murder 20 years? No. Life sentences. Both of them.

      Sounds like stupid logic.
      1. Not everybody is the same.
      2. Get a second opinion on health matters. Not all doctors will have the same knowledge, let alone level of care. One of my docs is rather friendly as a person but he's not adequate for certain medical cases. He could have lead to the death of 2 people had they not seen another doctor. Doctors are human too, not perfect, and they work for the government in a manner of speaking. Just because there was one shady corporation, doesn't mean they all are.
      3. Be responsible, and use your brain. It is not impossible for something bad to happen in any location. These guys weren't too bright, splitting the party in a foreign land, and making assumptions. Had they stayed together, had they gone to look for their friend, had they gone during a time it wasn't so crowded... bit of forethought goes a long way.

However, not all medical schools require bioethics to be a prerequisite. It is an important class to take because so many medical doctors don't have that mindset for the patient, they like to experiment and having a patient to experiment on is their passion but not for the patient's wellbeing
That's why you hear so many horror stories of ppl with bad doctors and why ppl never go to the doctors for any treatment

I know of a young man who died of syphilis in the last decade : He had every symptom of an untreated schizophrenic and kept getting locked up in the mental hospital - He was non-compliant . He told them the meds made him feel terrible and didn’t help . It wasn’t until months before his death at 27 , they realized he had syphilis and it was too late to treat him. Apparently, there are today pockets of syphilis outbreaks . I can’t imagine how many men contracted the disease after sleeping with him. As his mental health declined he became more and more sexually solicitous. Why it took so long for the hospitals to think to test for syphilis ? We’ll never know . Something else the citizenry should be aware of . Thanks for doing consistently great programs ! 🌸

Syphilis as you know can kill an entire community like it did on an island in Greece.
So just like the leopards in Hawaii , there were places where people with incurable disease could live in peace.
The original 1930 syphilis study was only for one year, to track it's spread rate. But no one believed how fast it spread, so they replaced the Doctors, and did it again and again.
The average spread rate in 1930 was 1 new infection from a known source every 10 years. In Macon it was 3 per year.

The Mark Kilroy murder happened when I was in college. I grew up just outside Houston, and went to college in Texas, as well. My suitemate went to high school with Mark. Everyone I knew went to Mexico all of the time to party. The Matamoros incident was like something out of a nightmare. Everyone's parents immediately forbade us from ever going back. And I've never returned, almost 35 years later.

Dude...even trained magicians can't even get out from being buried alive on their own most of the time!! I'm floored and amazed at the determination of that young mother. 💪 But, wow, those guys both got WAYYY too light of sentences!! Just because someone foils your nefarious plot shouldn't free you from a full murder charge. Smh.

it reminds me of that other case where a man broke a girl’s neck and put her into a coma, but got a lighter sentence because he failed to kill her 🤨 the justice system is so disappointing

Yeah I feel attempted murder should get the same punishement as murder. That you suck at it and the person lived, shouldn't get you less of a punishment.

I mean i guess technically invincible doesnt mean immortal or invulnerable. It overall means you cannot be defeated. If it was his decision to be shot and killed he wasnt losing to anything and therefor his gods wouldnt prevent it?
