- The Stewart Cassiar Highway is the northernmost highway in British Columbia and one of the two main route used to travel to Alaska from the United States. We drove the Stewart- Cassiar Highway on the way down from Alaska and had a great time on this remote and stunning drive. Let us know what you think in the comments!

What a mesmerizing video, from start to finish. You ALWAYS capture the beauty, and attractions of the places you visit, and give us so many details, and highlights, Josh. Pops is a great, "co-pilot". Thank you both, so much.
You're TOPS. 🛣 🏞 🌲👏🏻🤠👏🏻
We spent two months exploring BC last summer and I have say the Salmon Glacier was our favorite place. Highly suggest going back one day. Any two wheel car/truck with good tires could do it. Thank you for the great places you take us! We learn so much from your trips!
I've been meaning to go to Canada someday and someone I met out west had recommended British Columbia. Your video shows how right he was!
Those waterfalls... wow, I've no words to describe, stunning doesn't seem to do it justice... maybe majestic!
Wow! You took great video documenting our day! We were the Cougar 5th wheel pulled by silver F250 from Colorado. Think you captured us at least 5 times. Some friends told us to watch this!! 🤣
How cool!
So glad you had a wonderful time on the Stewart-Cassiar Highway! It has some spectacular scenery and a very different vibe than the Alcan. And you're totally right that the turn-off toward Stewart is one of the most incredible roads anywhere! We were mesmerized by all the huge waterfalls, rushing rapids, glaciers, and sharp mountain peaks!
I am so happy for you and Pops. What memories you have collected.
Loved this! We loved our trip to Alaska, but the highlight for us was traveling Canada. I loved the campgrounds, the lakes, the rivers and the Canadians were wonderful! I need to go back. I used ‘“The Milepost” as well. Great resource.
Wow wow wow. Amazing scenery. Im sure seeing it all in person is jaw dropping. Thank you for documenting this adventure. Be safe 😊
I was excited to see this video. I spent 3 days in Stewart/ Hyder back in the 80's so it was nice to see what it looks like now.
Breathtaking
Absolutely beautiful, untouched scenery - thanks for taking us on your travels with you!
The Glacier outside Hyder is absolutely amazing. You have to go back!
Beautiful video. I really enjoyed it!! Good job you both
Love the drone coverage
Enjoyable excursion, Josh and Pops, and the waterfalls visible from the highway to Stewart and Hyder are SPECTACULAR! 👍
This was an interesting video Josh and Pops. Even though there's hardly any place to pull over for the pictures it was very beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
I've only been to Alaska once in my life, and that was when I stayed the night in Hyder to renew my work visa. When I stepped out of the truck, it was so calm and quiet, I've never experienced a place so peaceful. It would be a dream come true to live in Alaska.
"The Lobby of our Coffee" 😆 What cool road trip! Loved the Alaska Highway video too.
Hyder/Stewart. One of my favorite places. Beautiful.
Beautiful! Thanks for introducing this remarkable gem!
Thank you for visiting our beautiful country. It is like a dream.
Incredible landscape. Always enlightening to travel with Josh and Pops!
Simply amazing. Wish you had more pull-offs! British Columbia is going to have to get right on this issue. Loved this trip. Thank you!
Kind of off topic, but watching the salmon clips in your video really got my cat's attention lol! I've never seen him behave like he did when he caught a glimpse of the fish! Thank you for the videos of you and your families trips. I love seeing all the places I have wanted to visit someday.
We were there in 2013. We had lots of bear enroute. We remember seeing a river within 10 minutes of leaving Dease lake. Bear glacier was more beautiful and probably 10 meters longer. (seems to have retracted over the years) We missed the Salmon glacier for the same reason.
Yet another highway added to my list. 😂😂 Absolutely breathtaking!
Absolutely stunning scenery. Well done
Beautiful views!! Enjoyed the video..
Awesomely green, mountains in the distance brings out the color gorgeous scenery
Heard you guys ran into traveling Robert while you were in AK...how awesome is that. Great video guys!
This is really lovely, really worth a visit any day 🎉
Amazing!!! Thank you guys so much!!
Hi Josh! I am stoked to see you eating Filipino food, and surprised to see a fellow citizen from that part of the world. so awesome!
Another wonderful clip :)...we were there last year but the weather was not as good as yours...nice to see how gorgeous it actually are...thanks for sharing !!!
What a beautiful, beautiful place!
Love this drive with U 2 this is great...Thank U...
All i can say is WOW!!
Great video and route. I was glad to see and hear a little bit about First Nations.
Nice trip......Thanks..........see ya next time.....AGAIN............
Majestic!
Thank you for the video on Stewart-Cassiar Highway Road Trip. I would love to go to Temptations Bakery. The pastries look yummy.
Great video as always. I went to Alaska with my Pops too… Unfortunately, it was in an Urn. It was the only state he had not been to while he was alive. We drove down in mid-Sept 2019 and the road was practically rolling up behind us and the fall colors and Northern Lights were spectacular
P.S. Jade Fever is worth a watch especially if you like reality TV shows. Hard to believe they have been mining Jade there that long
You hooked me with that first black bear cub shot!
It was so cool to see it!
BC = bring cash😄
Years ago we would vacation there because it was cheaper, not any longer 😉
Very expensive place in North America
I’ll bet this trip has made you try new and creative methods for trying out new photography techniques
We Are Taking THE ALASKA HIGHWAY 🙂
It’s closed now -May 24 due to a fire at Fort Nelson
Wow so amazing looks like unreal omg!! I got to go one day !!😭🙏 me and my wife will one day wit the dogs !!
Fenséges és csodállatos természeti látvány.Én is szeretnék igy utazni egyet hogy lássam valoságban is mindezt de egyelöre köszönöm nektek hogy gondoltok ránk is hogy láthassuk.
There are virtually no pull offs in case of breaking down. That was a little disconcerting ,but we thought it was very beautiful.
It would probably be a good idea to carry a extra 5 gallon or two gas cans, especially if you are driving a gas / diesel guzzling engine, in the winter you will have longer drive times and consume more fuel.
Amazing video! Did you have a rental car?
Driving thru Canada won't be an issue filling the tank. I used to fill the tank by liter instead of gallons.
Hey what kind of camara you used to film.? The filming is just beautiful...
Where did y'all fly to? I'd like to travel from Stewart back to Texas on a long road trip but am not sure how to get up there
Did you find damage from the miners??????????
Hey! Sorry if I missed it, but when did you guys go? I am thinking of going in mid may but I am worried the roads will be bad. Also, did you guys get hotels ahead of time, or do you think it's a safe bet to just stop on the way and get stuff as I get tired? Thank you!
Thank you :)
We went in August, and I actually grabbed the two hotels the day before. ALCAN is much busy than Stewart-Cassiar is for sure.
We’re heading north on it tomorrow because the AlCan is closed due to a fire in Fort Nelson. No snow/ice problems but having hotel problems since no one can go up the AlCan
BC = Mountains ⛰️ 🏔️
It really is incredible!
The 7 sisters is actually 8?
