Our armor ballistic core performance and balance of achieving multi-hit performance within its designated threat level; rounds exceeding the armors limitations and threat level or extreme multi-hit scenarios may cause the armor to crack upon impact. This result is normal and significantly reduces the rounds velocity, if not completely defeating, opposed to through and through penetration.

    Easy-peezy, lemon-squeezy..
    Thanks for the heads up!
Recently ordered & awaiting the Gen 2 Testudo, w/ the 11x14s. This tip is quite timely for me..
    Thanks!🇺🇸

I have 11x14s in my Testudo, I used the retaining straps. Sometime redundancy is a welcome addition.
The only issue I have is I think I overestimated my frame size, and I should've gone with 10x12s and a smaller carrier. But thats my fault, and I think more armour isn't really a bad thing.

I have had the 11x14's since the tustedo 2.0 came out and I still look like I shopped at the baby gap! But I'm 7'2... So yeah, they're awesome on me!
Good luck on the wait times those who don't have theirs already. My suggestion, while you wait for your order, go fill out your tax stamp for a can.
Be smart and get some training!

How tall, wide are you? I'm thinking about the 11x14 also, but don't want it to be too big either. I'm 5'8" chest is about 42". Thanks in advance.

@@PivotFirearms I'm 5'6". I dont know my chest size, but a XL is uncomfortable but doable, XXL is comfortable for shirt sizes.
I thought I was kinda broad, but maybe I'm not.lol I'm certainly overweight, but not enough for 11x14s to be optimal, it would seem.

Try cutting a fat hog in the ass and all u end up is in the mud. Don’t be cheap hoss. This stuff’ll save your ass. See u on the battlefield brother.👍👍😁🇺🇸

I have the 11x14 plates that I purchased a few years back when when the only carrier that you had was the Condor, now here is my question will the AR500 Armor® Testudo™ Plate Carrier - Gen 2 work on a BIG GUY like my Self that wears a 3XL-4XL Shirt? I see that the AR500 Armor® Testudo™ Plate Carrier - Gen 2 is more Advanced than the Condor and seems to be better made!

What would be the benefits of running such a large plate over smaller more conventional ones (other than protection)?
Wont it interfere with bending, running andnso on?
I'm fairly tall (6 1) and 177lbs and i'm wondering whether to go with these larger olates or with more conventional 10*12

    • @2020Max1
      @2020Max1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

The larger plates are primarily for people with larger frames. The 10x12 plates fit me just fine but I have a friend that they look absolutely tiny on. One other thing that I was considering doing was running a 10x12 up front and an 11x14 on back. Though I don't know how comfortable it would be with the weight difference between the 2 different sized plates, especially considering that I am currently running their 10x12 lightweight plates at 6.5 lbs. each and the 11x14's are nearly double that weight at 11 lbs. And AR500 currently doesn't offer a LW version of their 11x14 plates.

I'm 6'3" with a 50" chest and the 10x12 plates don't cover all of my vitals.
If the 10x12 covers your vitals (you can measure yourself) than the 10x12 is all you need.
