    If they cancel the Mazda 3 I am likely moving to Honda when I get tired of my 22. I am one of those who don't like and never will like SUVs.

      Honda absolutely killed it with the new Civic. I have driven the european e:hev model and honestly, it was really fast on a winding mountain road!

      @gabrieliacoboni6951 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @moonsapling I'm not a fan of downsized turbos which is why I choose the 3 over a conventional civic. I've heard good things about the Civic hybrid but I also am a shopper and want a deal. I'm loyal to Mazda as long as they stay loyal to people like me. We will see. The 3 will never make them a shit ton of money but with people like me it keeps us loyal to the brand.

    I hope they don't phase out the Mazda 3! It is hugely popular over here in Australia, especially the hatch. The US seems to have this obsession for SUV's and Australia is shifting in that direction too, but luckily Mazda recognises how popular the 3 is here still.

    • @noseboop4354
      @noseboop4354 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Mazda 3 also very popular in Canada. Seems like the US is the only place it's not selling as well.
      Though I am kind of sad they stopped offering the manual this year.

      I live in Ohio, and I just bought a manual 2021 mazda3 over the summer and I love it so much, the shifter is so smooth and its really fun to drive and LOOKS amazing. My first car at the start of college in 2019 was a 2006 mazda3 and that was wonderful too, but the 4th gen Mazda3 is just leagues ahead of the older gens and looks stunning, and when I initially test drove cars, I was grinning so hard when I drove the base model 2006 Mazda3 over a Civic. I would be real sad if Mazda ever gets rid of the 3 and it seems to mostly be competing well with the other options in its segment, with the biggest downside being rear passenger space, and then people also complain or don't get the mazda3 since you can't get the manual with the Turbo or AWD options.

      @thebullishimpulse-elliottw6910 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hate saying it, but I think the Mazda CX-30 has effectively supplanted the Mazda3 here in the US. With the 4th Gen Mazda 3's softened suspension and steering, there's not much of a disadvantage to choosing the more spacious, better visibility CX-30. (Now if they could only bring us a Turbo 3 with AWD + 6MT... :P )

      Also very popular with me. I own one!! However, in Spain SUVs are also dominant and I guess Mazda sells 4 or 5 SUVs for every M3. It's rare to see a M3 on the street, but it's less rare than seeing a new VW Golf!!! 😂

    I truly hope they bring back the Mazda 6 with all of my heart!!! With the looks of the Mazda design language, the superior design of their interior compared to Toyota and Honda, and their reliability being that they’re a Japanese brand joint with Toyota would make a new 6 beyond tempting. I’d absolutely buy the top trim on day one the second they announced it no lie 😍

      After crashing my 2017 BMW 5 series last september, I bought a 2018 Mazda 6. Honestly...if I had known the Mazda 6 was that good, I never would have bought my second BMW 5... I'm enjoying the Mazda 6 so much more than my 5 series. The only reason I can see why the Mazda 6 didn't sell that good, is the fact it didn't have enough power. 194hp and 258 Nm of torque (190 lb-ft) is not enough for a sporty looking car like that. My BMW had 232 hp and 500Nm of torque, BUT... I still prefer my Mazda 6.

      I think they screwed up by going too high up in the price without the dealer network or popular cultural cache to justify it, especially given some of the choices they made with suspension. The hatch is also, smaller iirc, than previous gen (at least cargo wise) and it is genuinely a coffin with how poor visibility is.

    Company is unique in what’s become a toy industry. They believe in timing chains, not belts, real automatic transmissions they build themselves, and inline 6 engines. Nobody else in the world does these great things. Next, they need real body on frame models, with rear wheel drive options in their bull pen. Would love a Mazda 6 with the inline six and a manual, but the Miata manual will not work. It is designed for low power and they have had issues with it with under 200 hp. They would be fine just buying a ZF manual and using it as it is rock solid.

    Love the CX-30 design agreed about the cladding, would be nice too they offer a hybrid or even EV version of it. The front lights also look cheap if they could incorporate some DRLs it would really stand out. My coworker has one and it just zips out on the road and he says it is really fun to drive when he goes on road trips. Not surprised about the 3 sedan, it has no headroom and the hatch has no rear passenger room hopefully they phase the 3 out and just stick to the Miata for those who want to be squished in a vehicle and super low to the ground.

    I would LOVE for Mazda to enter the RWD sedan and coupe segments. Especially if they give them inline 6 engines with good power and can keep the price point reasonable. I think there is a market for cars like that in the US it's just that coupes are almost non-existent and most sedans are FWD and boring. I see plenty of BMWs and Mercedes sedans around. If Mazda could provide a similar driving experience for less money I'd seriously consider it.

    Mazda needs a halo car, and ive said this before if you want to be considered a luxury brand you need a executive sedan. Its a requirement for the brand to have that moniquer and that's lacking. They do that plus that stunning little red number 0:07, and id argue they could be called a luxury brand which is what they want. Why i have no idea but that's come from the company directly so... Ive never seen a luxury saloon from Mazda but they have dropped us some sexy concepts. This brand has sex appeal like no other. That SP is a direct example. 😩🤤

    Mazda 6 with an inline 6 and RWD will crush all regular midsize sedans considering none of them are RWD and the Camry will no longer be offered with a 6 cylinder. However, if it will be marketed as a luxury car, it needs to be at least as powerful as the IS350 and TLX in order to be competitive.

    If the CX-70 doesn’t have the same flaws of the CX-90 of the stiff ride and unrefined powertrain that doesn’t match the looks of the vehicle, it will be a great vehicle.
    It will be the one of the very few 2-row six cylinder crossovers left now. Even 3 row, non-luxury six cylinder crossovers are scarce since the Highlander went to four cylinders. Really only Pilot, Telluride, Pallisade and not everyone wants 3 rows or the bulky size.
