Another amazing card jeskai ascendancy is really really good with is noyan dar from magic origin I think maybe return to zendikar .... So noyan dar turns a land you control into a creature whenever you cast an instant or sorcery and then as you rummage thru your deck with cheap cost cantrips and the ascendancy trigger you get to float mana from your man lands and pump them with noyan dar and ascendancy I actually played this combo in sphinx tutelage while the cards were in standard and you could easily get infinite mill damage mana and storm count all in one deck but you need a way to shuffle your graveyard into your library to prevent self mill situations.... Noyan dar is 4wu tho so treasure creation or green is kinda needed but worth it bc you caryatid and friends with green which makes going infinite easier prior to getting noyan dar in play with enough mana dorks
First match opp had lethal if they transformed Oddity, right? Trolls get +1 / +1 each for a total of 18 points trample with only 3 toughness on defense.
Feels like Krenko, Baron of Tin Street would fit in this deck like a charm. It could be another draw that wins you the game in a position like at 19:29.
I cant be the only one who doesn't play these formats specifically because of these types of combos. Theres nothing more boring than sitting there watching your opponent do 500 clicks in a row while you wait to lose on turn 4.
Inclined to agree with "concede and move on." I exclusively play Historic Brawl, where people concede super early after a single removal spell or BM you by salt roping (even on wins.) There's a lot of innately frustrating things about MTG, especially Arena, which seems to breed toxicity. (This is not in reference to combo decks. They can be super fun for the player, and I don't personally consider it toxic)

Every combo deck, especially dredge, loses to sideboard. That's why a lot of people criticize BO1 system in Arena. Because a lot of times there are always some busted combos in the game, and the deck can freely climb up the ladder uncontrolled. Meanwhile, a card that was designed to stop such combo are never played in BO1 because that card is designed as sideboard card, non main-deck one. In real paper Magic, all games are BO3, so there is a sideboarding involved. And you can't just roll the street with combo deck without getting countered hard in game 2 and 3.

Even though he does mention it at the end of the video. Dredge being the most extreme example, can't do anything game 1 then you should be able to win games 2 and 3 with the right tools. This deck is similar. Anyway, most Arena players enjoy Bo1 and don't seem to have a problem with that. Having to build your Standard deck to be ready for RDW shows that it can be done, even though having graveyard hate maindeck is a lot harder for most decks.
It sounds so odd everytime you read cards in the intro and you say "this turn", when you are actually not playing 😅 can't you just say "current turn" just for the intro? Just saying ❤

How do you get rid of Sheoldred? Or is it just autoscoop?
Otawara can temporarily bounce it, but you would prefer not to face it. Can still win through it if you already have most combo pieces in place.
