I love danitha, I always try to find ways to make her work with dragon mantle. Both of those cards especially together just feel like they'd have been a menace in a standard long ago but they're both so expensive to not even guarantee even getting in for damage these days, let alone winning.
Love to see decks with Astor and the war whip. I had a standard deck with those and Cloudsteel Kirin and a bunch of protective spells and abilities. Cloudsteel might be a good include in this with the snuffler.
everybody knows the tunnel tipster and the puppy tokens are cute but I do think they overlooked how cute this thing is, thank you for shedding lights on it
i made a deck when the war-whip came out when i saw the astor synergy for free equip costs but it never seemed to be fast enough, either with jor kadeen to lean aggro or the golden argosy for some jank ETB strategy. found i had better consistency with astor letting me surprise crew Weatherlight compleated. really cool to see it being brought back with some interesting new cards
I think there is potential for a mardu control deck that relies on lightning helix and parasitic grasp to keep our life totals in check while controlling the opponents creatures with archangel of wrath as the finisher maybe and blood letter of aclazot to double up damage or something....
cool deck, i really want to try something with sword of once and future and Kellen, as it effectively reanimates them. But it's just not coming together for me. i might take some ideas from here.
I have just started playing this game. I love the game but i cant really say i have a idea what i am doing. Any recommendation for what deck to play for a brand new player to MGT? I have done tutorial / Colour challenge and that's about it :D
I recommend browsing Untapped.gg where you can look at decks by winrate and get a sense of the meta in each format. Then you can look up some gameplay videos if you want a better idea of how those decks play out and see which play style you prefer.
