The Kingshouse Hotel is the closest. You could probably walk from it to the mountain without adding much on. After that there may be some accommodation at the ski centre further, but then Glencoe Village or Fort William aren’t too far away either.
Great video 1 of the best I have seen of this truly fantastic mountain it is my favourite mountain in scotland after all 😉 Great music great editing great day for it ☀️ ⛰ it’s a fair hike between both munros and agree the munro top was something else too 😄 watching this gives me the urge to get back to this majestic mountain asap thanks 🙏
Great video Alister. That drone of you hiking along the ridge was excellent. I dig the little graphics indicating each peak. Just well done all around!
Great video of the route Alastair. It's an amazing mountain.Loved your drone shots flying with the clouds. The clarity of the video was excellent on my big telly.😀👍
Thanks Andy, really appreciate the comment! We shoot everything in 4K and try to make sure it looks as clear as possible. Watching on a big tv makes it look even better in my opinion, but I’m probably a wee bit biased 😂
@@HighlandHikers Fingers crossed, planning and training will have taken 6 months . My parents live in Wales, but Im in Kent. The South Downs are lovely but not quite to Glencoe standard.
Stunning views! Great job filming and editing the video. I am putting a video together that compares the American cowboy and the Scottish drover. I would very much like to have some drone footage of the mountains in the Highlands. Is there any chance of getting some drone footage from you?
Spectacular views! I've climbed one of those, but not the other one... could be my final Munro, but I'm not sure. Certainly a mountain I'm looking forward to climbing again.
Great video mate, fantastic conditions for it! I actually went over Etive Beag & Etive Mor last week, you got better weather than I did 😁 I know what you mean about that Munro top.. how that is not a Munro is beyond me 😂 Cheers, James
Fantastic video bud very atmospheric ...Buachaille is on my list this year this route looks like it'll do me fine...brilliant vlog looking forward to catching up with the rest of your channel ATB....And a new Sub Andy 😊
I can only echo the praise and appreciation from other comments. Absolutely stunning, sir, and the the colours are so rich.
Thank you for sharing 🥃
Thank you for the kind words
The mountain looks good and safer from a distance. Wouldn't attempt it!
Each to their own. Feel like in those conditions its about as safe as it can be.
Excellent video, thank you!
Thanks Alan
@@HighlandHikers If you don’t camp, where is the closest place to stay to tackle this mountain please!

Great video. Did Buachaille Etive Beag last month and I’m going to plan and do this mountain soon!
Thanks Tom. This one is a belter and my personal favourite of the two.
On my way in 2 weeks. Great filming and views. Can't wait . Thanks for sharing .
Thanks Richard! Hope you get a great day for it.
Great video loving the channel

Thanks Seth! It’s not the easiest thing trying to fly the drone and walk in such a way that looks normal at the same time!
Fantastic video.
Quality was outstanding.
My favourite munro by a distance
Thanks Davie! This was certainly one of my favourite walks so far, conditions were excellent.
Production qualitys on a different level now guys😲 great footage, the clouds added to the dramatic scenes, top class👍
Thanks Euan, really appreciate it!

Stunning..Im planning to be on that same mountain in September, great to get some `on the ground` footage to help out.
It’s a fantastic day out. Glad the video was helpful.
Very helpful, thanks. Itll be part of a 4 day hike/camp. I use the Brecons and Black Mountains fairly regularly, but this is a big one for me
Sounds like an excellent trip! We will have to head down to your neck of the woods sometime in the future!

Can take as long as you need once you’re there. After the initial ascent it’s fairly easy going so you can enjoy the views.
Well done, another great video. Keep up the good work. 👍
Thanks Mark

Thanks James! You didn’t do too badly though going by your IG posts! I’m looking forward to seeing your video when it’s out.
Brilliant video as always! Alistair, can you tell me where you camped as it looked awesome and a good starting point. 👍
Camped just at the footbridge over the river at the start of the walk. Quite a few others camping in the same area as well.
What drone do you use? Loving the channel.
Thanks Craig. We use the DJI Mini 2

Hi mate. Just discovered your channel and given you a subscribe. Looking forward to watch the back catalogue! 😀🥾⛰🏴
Thanks Dave, hopefully plenty videos for you to enjoy!
@@HighlandHikers I’ve a little channel myself, which I upload my walks in the Lake District using the Relive app.
I was just having a look actually, will give the videos a watch later in the day 👍🏻
How long would you say it took to get to the first Munro ?
I really can’t remember now. I want to say less than 2 hours to err on the side of caution.
@@HighlandHikers thank you what drone did you use video is amazing
We use DJI Mini 2s which allow us to shoot in 4K, then it just takes some decent flying and walking skills to get some of the shots!
@@HighlandHikers looks great I have the mini 3 pro hoping to get up highlands in a few weeks weather permitting
Hope you get some great shots with it
