You are a total legend. The hair dryer method worked for my aging ML320 when the front passenger window was stuck on open. I had resorted to taping a plastic sheet over the window until I could work out a not-too-expensive fix. Your video saved the day for me. (Back story: the ML320 was my husband’s car until he passed away a couple of months ago. ). I have been worrying about that window, so I am very grateful for your help. God bless you. Julie from Australia.
Glad to have been of help! But, I can't take credit for the solution. I can't remember if I saw it on anther TH-cam video or read it on one of the Mercedes blogs, but the idea wasn't original. I also did a follow-up video on replacing the switch module. It's not too difficult or expense and it fixes the problem. And, I pray God comforts you through your loss.
Good Evening, I appreciate your video coming through my phone. I am grateful that it worked. I ordered my part of Amazon earlier today and confirmed that’s what the issue is from your Video. Thank you so much❣️
You sir are amazing, whoever came up with this is amazing! I just tried it, my wife got caught in a snowstorm with the window stuck down, got home, I hit it with the hair dryer and yes sir, it came up! Thanks again!
Thank you for your kind words! I can't take credit for the idea. If I remember correctly, I read about it on one of the Mercedes forums, so I tried it and it worked! The video after this one shows how to change out the switch module to fix the problem more permanently. It's not too difficult and the part is available on Amazon for a reasonable price.
The video was only 10 minutes! I don't understand why people are complaining about too much talking for a solution that is effective. I used a dyson hairdryer for about 90 seconds and my driver's side window rolled right up on my 1999 ML320. Thank you for taking the time and effort putting the video together. 👍🙏
Sorry, I've never bled brakes. I've only changed pads and rotors when I've done brake jobs. Check for other TH-cam videos. I'm sure someone has posted some about doing it. Thanks for asking, though.

Thanks man. You saved me.

Thank you for your kind words! Glad it worked and glad to pass on the tip that I learned from someone else.
The keys were not in until the last time you tried c'mon ppl
I have the same issues on my 2002 ml, will remove the whole unit and spray electrical contact cleaner to see if that works.
Hey I’m working on my ml320 right now any advise for bleeding the brakes?

Which year ml is this. ...
1999
Literally talking too much, you can say everything in 2 minutes.
Exactly! Who cares about new tires. No one clicked on the video to hear all the extra talking. I had to watch this on 1.5x speed.
Good video but all the unnecessary talking / storytelling was a waste of my time. This is a must watch in 1.5x speed
