- The fungus on Mega Brutal seems more daunting than it really is. Your previous strategies to contain the outbreaks won't be as effective because spore bursts will be constantly creating new outbreaks... so the easiest solution is to put the entire planet on lockdown!

The "Happy Frogs" thing is a reference to the clip of Alex Jones saying that the US government is putting chemicals into the water supply to turn frogs gay. It's a play on words, seen as gay used to mean happy before it became commonly used to refer to homosexuality.
Sad fact, his comment actually has a bit of truth to it. While not making them gay per se, the chemical atrazine commonly used as a pesticed inhibits hormones in male frogs, resulting in sexual abnormalities like hermaphroditism.
Really funny reference in game though.

I wish they ad a "versus" mode now in which one player plays as the disease and another as the cure. I mean, its just my opinion, but I think it will be 1000 times more fun that the actual versus mode of Plague Inc were you are a disease and your friend is another disease.

I used pravus tips not only in the infection mode but I will also use it in cure mode
I beaten it only after I found some tactics on internet. The hardest one so far

Dunno if you've noticed it yet, but you can actually tell when you've found the origin country when you pop the red bubble for it. It'll release a sickly green gas.

Or you can just go to the "Control" page and at the bottom left portion of the screen, it will tell you the origin country (as long as it's been investigated).

@@ToxicSoul03 Yeah, but I'm talking about certain events that just suddenly increases non-compliance for no good reason. Such as _people_ ditching their masks.
Fungus works differently compared to virus and bacteria. After some time passes (or when the news say about spores blooming) the infection rate will start to grow rapidly. That's when you buy fungal sprays. They reset the infection rate back down and disable the rapid growth for some time.

I would have thought that the fungus wouldn't have any vaccine option (No fungal vaccines have been released), and that the challenge would be only being able to eradicate the fungus by lockdowns and quarantines.
That would make sense if this was a completely new game. But it's still plague inc, so all diseases have a vaccine available. The vaccine might just be a really powerful fungicide which somehow doesn't kill humans when it's injected directly into there brain's, but apparently it exists.

The fungal infection bonus is at least from what I heard directly increases global infectivity and is very noticable on the purple infectino rate bar. If the purple infection rate bar is ungoldy huge, you need to use the anti-fungals.

How fungus in cure works is that the infectiosity increase exponentially but the spécial upgrades Can reset it
ya i had a lot of trouble with this one. Once i saw how fast it spread in mega brutal i used the creator and made it as powerful as it could possibly be and lost within a minute lol. Nice job man

@@yarlodek5842 We'll see. Since they're fundamentally different from other diseases, they most likely will arrive later, but I'm certain they will
neurax would the hardest one for sure. the necroa would be just fucking cool as hell, being the Zcom and developing bases and weapons because you already know that a cure will not work. maybe instead of authority you need to keep a certain porcentage of people alive so that humanity isnt doomed.

Considering the message for getting 0 authority is a soldier with a gas mask, that could be the case
When I played it, almost 1 billion people were dead, and I survived on 4 authority. You might be wondering, wow, you beated fungus on mega brutal? That's awesome. But guys, it is a bit funny, I played it on casual mode, yes I said CASUAL MODE, :(

When i played it, i got EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA LUCKY because the fungus spawned with ZERO infectivity and died before i could analyze it. Im not kidding.

Thank you so much vor the video. Before, I've struggled numerous times with this scenario. After watching it, I was even able to eradicate the fungus (on normal) without fake news and censorship ;), so my moral spine was improved. I didn't realize the importance of contact tracing, full lockdown and compliance support in this scenario.

If anyone doesn't know what the bonus is, The fungus builds infection overtime and antifungals reset that bonus and these can be very useful to control infection and timing for using the antifungals is critical as you only have 3

Great video as always Pravus, also nice to see you again before your break is over. I could be very wrong, haven't played the game mode yet myself. I think the factor that got you 2 stars is the "Fatality" rate. It was 47.3%, hope that helps.
Now seeing the prion video, I feel like I am very wrong on that account. Maybe it was the speed. But fungus isn't easy to cure in RL...

I tried this the first time and got trounced on Normal. And yes, it was the Caribbean that murdered me... and got murdered by the fungus, ironically enough. I'd been trying to control things via infection control up until that point, so having my favourite toys wrenched away and being forced to use the lockdown system I didn't really understand was a rude awakening. Good game design though in that it forces you to learn a different mechanic.

The fungal infection bonus is a thing that over time increases and basically its just some extra infection rate and it can get really high so the Antifungals might help

Hey, Pravus just because you mentioned it. The points you gain from Authority is capped at 100 so if you finish with more as you did here it gives you the cap of 100
The infection bonus is found as a percentage bonus under the states at the bottom panel's top right in Control

Unironically when I play against Fungus it always sweeps the arid countries better than my humid countries, even if I take heavy quarantine and even take other initiatives, such as hand washing etc.

Hey provost gaming I did manage to beat all of the disease types from plaguing evolved cure mode on normal difficulty the fungus was very very difficult and so did the parasite and disease X.
So pravus is taking a break from his break, I broke my leg so now I am broken.

Is there a chance for every day to spawn a new spore burst in a (new) country, or is there a set timer after which a new chance is given, or is there just a set timer where it releases a new burst every so many days? And does this time get shorter or chance increase on higher difficulty? Or is it literally just random?
If you buy the field research and stain in the country of origin you can get the event that speeds research

Mate what the fuck. The difficulty spike for the cure mode is absolutely insane. I physically cannot beat fungus on normal and this man can beat it on mega brutal without knowing half the abilities
I dont know if you noticed, but i just noticed that after you pop an infection bubble, if the smoke is green, that is the origin country
