Unbelievable story between Nolan Ryan and Jeter. Truly two of the best in their era.
Hilarious to see Derek call out Colin’s lack of baseball knowledge
The comment about Ohtani, Cy Young caliber pitching, and MVP offense. Couldn't have put it better.
Agree
You can tell that Jeter was Colin's kind of player. Smart, focused, a grown-up...
@@deepvoicedude4749 you'll be surprised when you Google Jeter's parents if that's your angle
@@moose4ku440 He's not the sharpest of knives. LOL
Doesn’t wear hat backwards
Ryan retired in ‘93. Jeter was a rookie in ‘95.
it's hardly a stupid question. just off the top of the head, it would have seemed that they crossed paths. find a bigger and better complaint youngster.
@@Thedrummerkidoh please this is embarrassing! Not an ounce of research was put into this interview and it’s quite sad
@@ThedrummerkidNah this was pure stupidity, especially coming from a media outlet that focuses on sports talk. Stupid question no doubt
Nolan was almost 30 when Jeter was born.
Not doing a background check on your guest and being called out on a fact check, must be embarrassing.
Nolan Ryan was like 30 years old when Jeter was born.
Because of this interview I will always remember that Derek Jeter went toe to toe with Nolan Ryan
I could be lost on this but he never did 😂
Come on Colin… you don’t disrespect THE CAPTAIN!
Ryan's career ended in 93 and Jeter's started in 95.
There is no chance Colin had heard of Skenes before today. Zero.
4:39 Ohtani
Man it doesnt get any better and more genuine the DJ
The disrespect with the Nolan Ryan take 😂
Best of the best ! All Star games . Playoffs World Series Derek always shined brightest
Bro really said Jeter played in the same era as Nolan Ryan….
Mr. NEW YORK!! Such a class act!
Nolan ryan era is wild 😂
What’s crazy is they have been struggling for a month and everyone is starting to be concerned and they are still one game out of first and should have taken sole possession of first!
6:33 you’re welcome
Hey Colin how did Jeter do against Walter Johnson?
Class act
Colin has watched a total of 10 minutes of baseball his whole life.
He covered baseball for years lol
@@1224taylor I've been listening to this dude for almost 20 years. He used to talk a lot of baseball at ESPN. That basically changed when he came over to FOX. They follow the ratings 🤷🏾♂️
@@rodneycooperjr3223 yup, He's pretty clueless about the game now, but it is funny that he used to cover it so much and sounds so dumb when he talks about it now
@@1224taylor I don't think he pretends to cover it now. I think he invites people that know more about it than him and asks questions. I'm okay with that.
@rodneycooperjr3223 I'm Dominican 🇩🇴 and Colin Cowherd said something years ago about Dominican baseball players and that controversy.
Can't believe he said Jeter played in Nolan Ryan era. He never faced him. Ryan retired after 1993. Jeter was drafted in 1992 by Yankees. Jeter came up in 1995 by Yankees. He was in minors when Ryan retired.
Jeter played in mid to late 90s in steroid era. Nolan Ryan era was 70s & 80s. Colin is stupid.
Nolan Ryan hahaha
Cy Young was before WWI 😂
How do you train the ligament in your elbow to go 9 innings every start for 10 plus years? I think people are just different and born different
Come on Colin, do your homework
I love me some Colin “it should be noted Derek Jeter never faced ch young at bay either “ Cowherd
I have never been a baseball fan. WAY more standing around than even American Football which I played and love. So please tell me is Derek Jeter the kind of guy you could just enjoy hanging out and spending time with? Seems like a smart, well put together person.
I love Jeet that’s why or a big reason why I moved the Yankees so MJ h , I was a huge Ken Griffey jr fan but the Yankees were my team cuz Rivera ans jeet 😊
The captain
Nolan ryan played against Jeter? LOL, that's like saying Wilt played against MJ. C'Mon Collin! You have all summer to focus on a sport your network broadcasts!
Can you learn baseball before talking about it?
cowherd is beyond his prime, sad to see
Dementia is starting to set in.
Colin and Jeter are very Handsome guys.
I love that he has a guest on and he’s having to try and guess who he played against. No knowledge of the game. Wild.
Right side, Manfred??
What Yannkees woes? They're one of the better teams in the AL.
“You played against Nolan Ryan” may has well been “I don’t know anything about baseball, but we gotta cover it this week”…. Nobody in the National sports media knows or cares about baseball. It is what it is. Same thing with MMA, but they’ll all pretend to be historians of MMA because it makes them look cool
Baseball doesn't exist.
The only thing worse than Jeter’s defense is Colin’s baseball knowledge
He won 5 gold gloves.
@@rymcmyne1343 because he was a star from NY. Terrible defensive stats, looking back he should have 0 gold gloves & should’ve switched positions instead of A rod
Colin, Your lack of knowledge about baseball is embarrassing. Stick to your one dimensional show about football. Yes talking football all year round is tiresome for viewers but it's all you really know. You can still fake basketball too.
This dude simply doesn’t know baseball. Nolan Ryan!!??
Any media member is immediately obligated to say cash cow Shohei is the best at blank regardless of the topic. You won't hear different from mainstream media.
well he literally is so
Did you read the report? That says all. Still believing the conspiracy? Then go watching movies instead😂 Life is much simpler than you think it is.
this is the first Jeter interview that was done by a jellyfish. Boone's tactical approach to managing is so lacking, Dave Roberts wants to bust his balls. The injuries to the pitchers are because the reward system is chasing velo and spin rate. throwing as hard as you can every pitch is a recipe for disaster - Jeter obviously hasn't thought the injury aspect through at all.
Computers caring for the human body, bad math
Jeter is the greatest MLB player ever....yes, i said ever!
lol , ok
