Thanks so much! Crafting is fun. Lung damage is not.
Love the simple, subtle snow effect.
Thanks so much
good luck with your channel, the more craft channel the better ha
very nicely made, and your instruction very clear, thank you
So the video idea is great and the craving was wonderful. I like how you sunk those counterweights too. I've found that to be helpful on my own terrain. Your paint job looks great, but if you want it to go a little faster you can completely skip two of the stone painting steps. By base coating the stones with a dark grey, and then hitting it with a heavy drybrush of light grey you get the same effect as a wash and don't have to build it back up. And then with the runes you can skip the dark blue and mid blue in the rune lines and just dry brush with mid blue. Put light blue in the runes and make sure to hit both ridge lines of each rune, and then trace the rune inner line with white. Looking forward to checking out more of your ideas.
Great gradient with the glowing runes! Awesome scatter terrain!
Thank you very much!
Didn’t even realize how few subs you had when I watched this video really well done tutorial and I can’t wait to see more of your stuff in the future!
Pewter grey is my favorite for grey stone too!
It’s the best!
Nice video. I miss all of the old terrain content creators that have moved on to other things but this video brought back the feel of those guys .
For thicker snow with great application control I make a paste from the snow effects dust, pva glue and white paint. I mix it so the snow effects are the main ingredient, that way it keeps that dusty look. It dries very hard and looks great and can be applied anywhere easy.
Thanks so much! I love all of those old videos, so I appreciate the comparison. I’ll have to give those snow effects a try. I don’t really have any snow terrain, so maybe it’s time to start.
Nice simple craft!
Well presented video, good tempo and pace, useful techniques, liked and subscribed.
Glad I stumbled upon your channel, really like your work. Subbed!
Thanks for the video I will have to make me a set
Nice work, super polished for a first video. Subbed!
Thanks Chason! I appreciate that.
thanks for useful methods😁😁👍👍
Very well put together ... Good sound glad to see you here ... Looking forward to seeing more
Thanks so much Kim!
Borrowing you glowing runes for a diorama I am building. Well done!
Hope they turn out awesome!
Very nice work - looking forward to see what else you come up with.
REALLY great stuff! I appreciate the effect that you get out here! treMENdous!!!!
Thanks so much Roland! I’m glad you found it helpful!
Excellent work explaining how to do all of the steps. This will be an easy tutorial to follow.
Thanks.
Nice work, thank you.
Solid tutorial. Well done Adam!
Much appreciated! Glad you liked it
sick dude, as a wargamer its always nice to see a new crafter
Also black gesso > Modge podge
Thanks man, and note taken. I have some untouched gesso on my bench I’ll use for my next project.
Isn’t gesso a lot thicker and therefore might cover up the detail you put into the foam with the foil roller? If you could show the difference in your next video that would be really helpful since I don’t want to go buy gesso if it’s too thick.
@@magnusmillerwilson it has uses, it leaves a little bit more texture imo for flatter pieces. But you have a valid point
@@magnusmillerwilson I want to test them out side-by-side, so when I do I’ll be sure to film it.
This looks great!
Thanks so much!
Good stuff.
Great tutorial! Can’t wait to see your future videos. =)
Thanks so much!
Great video! I collect 6inch Scale figures so I'll try your technique out w that scale in mind. Keep up the great work! Love the channel!
Thanks so much Nolan! Hope it goes well 👍👍
The stones are Awesome!! I like the way you showed how to do a simple glow effect.
Nice video! Thank you for this great tutorial. Also, kudos for the shoutout to other content creators and other positive influences on your crafting experience. I've subbed to your channel. Will keep an eye out for more great content!
Thanks so much. I wouldn’t know how to do any of this if it weren’t for a dozens of other accounts out there that helped me get started 👍
Love it. Just subbed and I can't wait to see more of your work :)
Looks really good!
👍 Cool! Great stuff!
Very nice tutorial! Super excited to be on this channel early and along for the ride. Can't wait to see what videos you post in the future!
Those look great! Nice job with the pacing, too. Good job with your voiceovers while showing the products and reasoning.
Very nice project Adam. Well done on your video. Looking forward to what else you have in the future on your channel.
Its really nicelly done. I like the way you show and explain your technics. I'm also into crafting diorama and I'm gonna try painting glowing things in one of my project. Keep up the good work.🙂
Thanks so much, and good luck with the glowing effect in the next project! I hope it turns out well for you.
New sub saw the trees first. Good stuff 👏
Awesome! Thanks so much 🙌
Great video, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
I'm going to use this technique on a Norse altar
Nice! Hope they turn out awesome.
Love what you are doing. As a fellow DnD creator, this is great. I liked and subscribed :)
Thank you very much! Ditto 🍻
Love the idea of making rune standing stones like this. I wonder if I could use real stones, only issue would that would be I wouldn;t get the indent for the rune, but its a very cool idea. thanks for showing us this.
There's only one way to find out!
Great video! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you continue to put out! As a suggestion, I would love to see someone took a take on terrain from the Elemental Planes. I've seen a lot of lava effects for terrain, but never ones that are geared more towards Air.
Interesting…honestly, neither have I. I can definitely tackle that.
very nice! always trying to think of a way to use my fluorescents. Could cut in half, hollow out and add led for added effect. Like once the magic stone is activated it lights up/glows
Thanks Macky! You definitely could. Personally, I haven’t delved into adding lights into any of my terrain yet, but maybe someday.
Cool stuff!, how would you make these but like in the forest, mossy stones etc, mossy fortress, something mossy :P
Thanks so much! I would take a green tuft flocking and mix it with a little bit of PVA glue, and smear it on spots that look like they would grow moss.
@@parttimetabletopper Could you show us please ;P :D
Hey, question for you. What's the benefit of stiplimg the wash coat?
Hey Anthony, I think you were saying stippling? Correct me if I’m wrong! When I first started crafting I didn’t stipple, and my wash coat smeared the existing acrylic paint and ruined my layering. When it’s applied this way I’ve found it preserves what’s already been applied.
@@parttimetabletopper Yeah I did! Trials of typing on a phone! I'm scouting for a diorama project I've been considering for a while thanks for the explanation!
@@Anthony_Cika of course! Good luck with your project 👍
Why does everyone say modge podge. It's fricking mod podge.
To see who notices.
Honestly, I think it just rolls off the tongue that way and becomes a bad habit.
