Damn you for mentioning the Volvo V70R 😅 The rare just got rarer. Thankfully, I’ve got dibs on an Autobahn tuned model from family in Germany. Seeing our 75yo Oma (grandmother) push that thing to 240kph on the A8 put a smile on my face for a week.
My family just sold ours. It was my first car 5 speed. It is absolutely perfect in every way. We tracked it aswell and I had better times than all the miatas, which is pretty good considering its weight
Just bought a 2008 Buick LaCrosse with 67k miles loaded, heated seats, New tires, push button starter, everything working for 4500. Has the 3.6 V6 in it. 80 year old Grandma owned it for 15 years. Beat that
Man... 11th gen F150's are sub 10k for a reason. Intake/Exhaust valves, timing issues, transmissions, electronics, etc. Most of these are pretty solid options but I'd have a hard time recommending specifically the 11th gen F150 to anyone shopping on a budget. Some are problem free, but just as many come with huge repair bills and neglected maintenance.
@@deyeatdapoopoo7582this. My dad had a 4.6 that went 270k before he couldn’t inspect it anymore. We live in New England so the salt ruins everything. The engine still ran completely fine with no problems
Just a little correction on the Cedric/Gloria's... You can get most engine and transmission parts in the US if your willing to be smart and cross reference part numbers. I have a 93 Gloria (same car as the Cedrid) and have rebuilt my transmission, did water pump, timing belt, tune up, valve cover gaskets, termostat, and the only part I have to get from japan was the intake gaskets. I've redone the suspension to lower it. (VIP build) and all those parts are US sold. Everything comes from Q45's, 240's, Maximas, or 300zx's. Great car and easy to maintain.
Worked at a Volvo dealer when the S60R and V70R came out, and we knew they would be sleeper collectors in the future. was so underrated when it came out and still is. an excellent choice
My old man's had constant brake squeel and chatter (according to him). Abs module was a problem. MAF went out when we took it to the racetrack once and it left us stranded. Lol
So I’ve had a couple of these cars on the list and by far my favorite… Honda ep3. I paid $1500 for it, upgraded the suspension to Tein green shocks and put a k20z3 in it from a junkyard. Trust me… it was GOLD! And the cool thing was that I left the outside untouched so that it wasn’t gonna get stolen. lol. Man I miss that thing.
I've got the same Tein Street lowering springs on mine! They're right, it ain't fast, but that suspension plus some good wheels and tires absolutely brought that car to life!
We bought our GT premium new in 2006 and apart from an alternator and a pinion seal, it's been dead reliable. We bought a new GT in 2019 and I still think the S197 is more fun.
Finding a V70R with a spaceball for less than $10k is getting a bit tough now. You also forgot to mention the Magride suspension that can easily cost $4k to redo to stock.... Also the computers/wiring going and the block cracking... but thanks for shining a light on how cool my car is lol!
I have the lesser known little brother to the V70R, a V70 T5. Stays FWD but has thicker cylinder walls so its more reliable and omits all the electronic issues with the R suspension. Its a blast
I feel like the 2002-2006 R53 Mini Cooper S is worth a mention. 2-door hot hatch with phenomenal handling, forged engine internals from the factory, and an eaton supercharger is a recipe for a lot of fun. A healthy aftermarket and enthusiast community also makes these a great platform for modification and with the right knowledge and mods, they can be made to be very reliable.
@@jeremyloyd4671 I've owned one for 9 years and I currently race mine. The W11 Tritec engine in the R53 is actually very robust and reliable. The reliability issues that the 2002-2006 1st-gen cars had came from auxiliary items that are easily fixed with aftermarket parts or mods without destroying your wallet. The 2007+ 2nd-gen Mini's with the N-series Prince engines, though? Absolute junk. Avoid at all costs. Also, half of the cars in this video are maintenance nightmares.
I would agree. I traded my 05 in on a Golf R in 2019 and the Mini had so much more personality. Kinda regret not keeping it and turning it into a project car of some sort. Definitely miss the supercharger.
Will trade for a Porsche with cash on top. Seriously inquiries only. Ran when parked. Just needs a transmission, headgasket and inspection. Will not respond to 'is this still available'

Never seen one in any list like this, but the 2014-2017 v6 Honda accord coupes are A BLAST. Can def be found under 10k, real nice daily with a fun amount of power, great handling, pretty sleek body styling, and it’s a Honda so it’ll last forever. I own a 2014 and it’s been such a wonderful first car. Just crossed 150k on it today 😊. The longer I own it the more I just can’t believe it doesn’t get the love it deserves.
Found someone selling a 2013 accord v6 coupe with 111k miles for $17.5k USD. Had to send him a message and let him know that he was out of his mind lol
You're not getting V6 coupes from those years for under $10k. I just checked CarGurus, and there is not a single one under $10k within 200 miles of Orlando. Most are $15k to $18k. There's a 2016 listed at $22k. I actually love these cars, I used to own a V6 manual coupe. Amazing cars. But under $10k is wildly unrealistic. Thats the price range for 4 cylinder coupes.
Yea I don't know if they can really found for under 10k. Yes there are some out there but those are all stupidly high miles, ragged on or salvaged. I'm seeing about $15k for one with 100k miles seems to be to the going rate. I see a few nationwide that are around $12k but have 140k plus miles. I'm sure rug you out in apt of work you could eventually find one near 10k and closer to 100k miles but that would not be the norm
Volvo is underrated, got an 05 XC90 v8 awd suv in 2013 and I still have it in 2024. 234k miles later. I’ve transported couches, lumber, kids and dogs. It will do it all.
So uh.. When are we gonna collectively realize how awful a company BetterHelp really is and do something about it? At least vet your sponsors, guys. Very disappointing.
Actually, the NC Miata has an independent multilink setup in the rear instead of wishbones all around like the NA & NB do. Other than that tiny, nitpicky thing, excellent video! I’m so glad to see this resurgence of quality content. Those days of putting blood in an engine are behind us now thankfully. 😊
I just bought a bone stock 2006 NC Miata 6MT about a month ago for $5900 with 160k miles. I didn't mind the high mileage cuz I don't drive much, working remotely, and I plan on k-swapping it in the future. I also bought a 2012 Honda Fit a little before the Miata, but I was also considering the EP3 Civic Si. I test drove both and I actually preferred the Fit over the Civic. Super light, fun to drive, and a ton of space inside.
2008 Acura TSX. Has all the tech that you need for cheaper than a BMW. Yes it’s front wheel drive but it’s legendary K24a2 will keep you smiling. Perfect daily for under 10k
Speaking as a former BMW owner... the TSX is nice but it won't let you build the kind of close relationship with your mechanic that I had with mine. Spend that many hours talking to someone over the years and they become a friend. A friend who takes all your money.

Ours has 120k miles zero problems or repairs. Buddy bought a used one and the spark plugs were done 40k miles late and all but one snapped in the block. Do your maintenance and they are work horses
Alot of the 5.4s where work trucks and as somone who works with fleet companies it's because the fleet company's won't pay for it or the business only plans on having the truck for a certain period of time and sell it once it starts breaking/ gets cycled out
175k on my 3v when i sold it. Oil changes every 5k miles and zero issues out of the phasers. Had plugs changed at 60k and 125k, never broke any. I’ve got a 128i sport manual I bought a year and a half ago with 50k miles for $15k. Best way to spend the money in my opinion. Did bilstein coilovers, eibach sway bars, 135i wheels, a sticky tire and exhaust and it is an absolutely perfect all around car. Keeping forever!!

I've said it for years now. A Cadillac Escalade is just the "rich man's" Chevy Tahoe. Plus if you really wanted you can even switch the panels headlights and taillights on your Tahoe to look like a Escalade
The TDI Touareg is absolutely slept on. 400 lb-ft, 33 mpg on 80 mph highways, and I trust it just as much on backroads as I do my Tacoma. I've owned 3 of them so far, they're perfect for living in the Mountain West.
@@ZERONEINNOVATIONS The dieselgate fix they performed is an absolute hackjob and will deadline the car every 15,000 miles or so. A straight pipe and tune erases that problem completely, I've put 250,000 miles combined on mine with zero issues after deleting them. So definitely a huge issue, but also very easy to mitigate.
TDi Touareg will literally bleed you dry in terms of parts. That air suspension costs an arm and a leg to fix. The engine parts are a kings ransom these days cause they’re not easy to come by and salvage stuff is all but gone, having been picked over years ago. Tech heavy and rare cars from a decade plus ago are not a good idea cause with no real factory support your at the mercy of whatever someone wants to charge
Honorable mentions. Dodge caliber and neon srt4, rsx type s, sc430, Mazdaspeed 3, 8th Gen Civic si, ton of fun cars in that price range you just have to look and expand your options.
Chances are those have been amateur/high school/TikTok video/Walmart accessories modded out. And would be a headache to fix when that amateur lowering kit just collapses on you.
I've had 2 NA Miatas, 1 NB, and currently have an NC1. My NC is my favorite. I wish there was as much aftermarket support for it as there is the previous gens, but it's still a fantastic car.
Is there more leg room? A knee injury is forcing me to sell my 50k mile supercharged '99. Really don't want to but, I can't spend an hour in it without two days of punishment, at this point.
@@Morboeatspeople Definitely more space all around. The cabin of the NC feels more like a normal car. See if you can find one at a lot for a quick “test fit” 😎
i've been owning an NC mx5 for the past 2 years. 2.5 swaps are the most common upgrades(from 2.5 ford fusions and perfect platform for turbo, cheaper than k24 swaps), rx8 big brakes & anti roll bars and much more. Aftermarket support is huge and you can definitely daily it because of the size. I pulled mine just under 10k with the engine swap + parts. Or just LS swap an rx8 and you've got an NC miata with a factory hardtop for even less money
A car i got for under 10k was a toyota celica st202 ssiii 1996 for 6800 it was a steal, it was in mint condition and was imported from japan, rhd manual, Looking at the chassis code, it was high performance with 160kms or about 100k miles
The cool thing about the Porsche Cayenne, at least the first gen models, some of them came in manual. If you were able to find on that came in manual, I believe it would be at the top of the cool list.
I got a hot take for this. The 2011 to 2017 Chevy Caprice. Came with the V6 or 6.0 V8 which was just a mix of the LS2 and LS3. Four door RWD with a lot of room for potential.
I mean the only cars on the list that might be any money to maintain would be the BMW, Volvo and the Cedric, and that’s only due to part’s availability. Miata, and civic are bulletproof cars, always were always will be, the mustang and F150 are so common you could probably start digging in your back yard and find a spare motor to drop in, really cheap pars, easy to work on and fairly under stressed. The Cadillac, while the electrics might play funny buggers, is a suburban underneath which is a really tough little truck
Got my 350Z for 2g. garage kept dealer queen for its whole life. One owner, no accidents…it does have 215k miles on it, but it was meticulously maintained by my uncle its entire life, if it was recommended it was done. I trust it. GREATEST decision I have ever made
hell yeah id take a well maintained car with 300k miles on it any day over a 70k mi vehicle that's been ran through and has had 0 maintenance since it was purchased.
Lol, I remember looking at getting one for my first car back in 2014. They were around 10-15k back then, which was a lot of money for someone still in school. Never ended up getting one, but have always checked marketplace and their prices have escalated so much in the last 5 years. Looking at 20-25k for one now, pretty sure the 370's are around the same value now haha.
you're better off buying anything in that price range with a proper title then some wrecked piece of shit that's rebuilt Yes I'm sure someone will go off and say "uh my car is rebuilt and it's fine" well I'm glad, yes you can get good cars that are rebuilt. 90% of the time they aren't though and you're taking a massive financial risk on unknowns if you don't know the vehicle history or other info.
@@01Zipangdoes it matter if you plan to rebuild yourself anyway? Haha I would buy rebuilt but only knowing I’m changing a lot about what’s there anyways
not worth it unless you need the car to make a lot of power, and if thats the case you better have more than 10k when you buy it because you'll need supporting mods and more intense maintinence
@@rj6110 that really depends on what totaled the car. A slow collision with airbags going off will total most cars but if you know what you’re doing the repairs could be minimal. All in all I believe rebuilds can be solid buys but only if you know what you’re doing.
It’s sick how they build such big liters like over 6 liters v8s and they only give you like 300/400 only like 15 years , and now the are 4 liters v8 with over 600 hp. Them turbos really makes a big big difference
those 4 liters would physically take more size than those 6 liters. DOHC and SOHC comparion volume-wise is not exactly correct. 6.2 LS/LT is a tiny engine in physical department.
Hell yeah brother. Not just a list, but actual in-car footage takes this video idea to the next level. Low effort content is one of my biggest pet peeves. Thats why i love this channel so much, because you can really tell that the people of Donut are trying to push themselves to be better with every video they make... and that kicks ass

@BrokeMahWallet I know because apparently Canadians and Americans didn't want "fun" tourings which is madness 😂. What's going to make you even more mad was the fact I paid 8500 Canadian for it with 103,000 miles on the clock with the mods I mentioned plus an lsd from a company in the UK called wavetrac and a set of bb wheels 😘 was really nice till the ecu shit itself and cost me around 3k to fix 🥲
In my garage right now are: 2011 Lexus is350 awd: $8500 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen convertible: $4550 Hard to imagine needing more than $10k per vehicle to have a blast!
The RSX type S is so underrated the EP3 made the list😂 The EP3 and the RSX is the same chassis except the RSX has the REAL K20, 6 speed trans and is a much nicer car. Yes you can find a bone stock 150k miles plus RSX-S for under 10k still but you will when to drive abit to go get it depending on where you live. However they are getting harder and harder to find because people rob the drivetrain out of them to put in the 90’s civic’s. 65-70% of them out in the wild are CLAPPPPPPPED ASFF but you can still find a gem if you be decently patient and not be a BIHHHHH about driving a few hours to pick it up. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF 200K MILES examples especially if the owner and show proof of proper maintenance. The K20 is veryyyyyy reliable!
The RSX type S is not underrated at all wym? On the contrary, they’re probably not on this list bc most of them have already BEEN clapped and price gouged. EP3s have been the cheaper option for the chassis for years, but it’s price has been on the rise and this video is only gonna make things worse
If you just want something reliable with most modern features and a clean look i bought my 2016 scion ia for 10,500 with 45k miles. Touch screen, push to start, bluetooth, traffic sensors, backup camera, and automated cruise control, fake carbon fiber trim It isn’t fast but I’ve already seen rental companies and rideshare drivers with over 180k and zero complaints Look them up seriously a clean looking car for the price with alloy rims and color matching side mirrors
A old buddy of mine who does a daily ~150mile(each way) commute, used to buy Yaris after Yaris. Hit 200k, sell it, buy another. They never let him down and gave him around 40mpg if I remember right. Good buy, I hope it treats you the same!

@@ShreN_ its around 1300kg and its light weight compared to a lot of modern cars and most people consider that weight light weight. my main point is that the standard e87 have a lot of potential only being held back by the poor engine put into it. like imagine what that car could do with something like a k20 engine in it making 300-400 hp naturally aspirated.
@@jamesheedrpg_god-boss3676 the 128i in the video weighs 1475kg exactly, that's not light. Modern light cars would be something like GT86 or ND MX5 (anything around 1250kg or under IMO). Nobody's putting K20s into them for that exact reason. All BMWs are luxury cars, with lots of heavy sound deadening materials, heavy seats, etc. They're not cheap either, that's a complete cope. I'd be surprised if you're even old enough to drive kiddo... It would make no sense to put a K20 into an E87 either, when any 130i or 135i could make similar power figures with just a boost controller and tune.
@@ShreN_ I own a e87, I live in Europe where it’s available and it’s a shit econobox. It does not have a lot of sound deadening the most luxurious thing in that car is heated seats and ac. And as I stated before I think it’s a great platform to build out from. It’s fucking cheap and parts are cheap and everywhere, in addition to this it’s one of the only rear wheel drive hatches out there

I had a 03 Vibe GT for a while and it was a BLAST. Feels like old honda V-TECH in a super practical wagon, was tons of fun, only thing is that they’re really hard to find and if you do want a 03-04, watch out cause that had problems with the actuator bolts breaking that would engage the second Cam profile. 05-08 is probably the best years especially for the Pontiac because they got a facelift as well as fixing that reliability concern

I know 3 people who had to sell that Gen of F150 for scrap because the repairs cost more than the truck did
Also a big problem with those...Mexican ownership.
That's all very true as far as the 5.4L. If you get it with the 4.6L they're bulletproof.

I had a e91 335i manual a couple years ago, didn't have crazy mods just a remap, downpipe and intake but it had 380hp and was alot of fun.
Lucky European f..🤬
All love ❤️🔥😹 just mad jealous the e91 in Canada didn’t come in the 335i variant or 335d 😭😭
@@Reggie_Kray69 wavetrac lsd too!! wtf 🤯, that e91 must have been hella fun to drive. 8.5k is actually highway robbery for a build like that lollll.
Cant go wrong with the 4.6 kinda underrated engine with it being unkillable in the crown Vic and the 1997-2019 mustang gt’s
In my garage right now are:
2011 Lexus is350 awd: $8500
2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen convertible: $4550
Hard to imagine needing more than $10k per vehicle to have a blast!
1- BMW 128i e82
2- Mazda miata MX-5 NC
3- Honda civic SI EP3
4- Ford mustang S197 (5th gen)
5- Porsche Cayennee
6- Cadillac Escalade (3rd gen)
7- Ford F150 (11th gen)
8- JDM Nissan Cedric (9th gen)
9- Volvo V70R
Youre welcome! 🫡
Time to buy them and resell them for more
The RSX type S is so underrated the EP3 made the list😂
The EP3 and the RSX is the same chassis except the RSX has the REAL K20, 6 speed trans and is a much nicer car.
I have an RSX 🙌🏻
My buddy just got an 02’ type s with 203k for 2,700$. All original clean title
A type S is 3-4k more than an ep3 putting them at like 7-10k
Ep3 with a swap or turbo is a lot of fun.
The RSX type S is not underrated at all wym? On the contrary, they’re probably not on this list bc most of them have already BEEN clapped and price gouged. EP3s have been the cheaper option for the chassis for years, but it’s price has been on the rise and this video is only gonna make things worse
I loved my EP3 in college and still miss it to this day.
the fisker ocean should be around 10k soon 😂
Brand new too!
@@drunkenhobo8020 what a steal!!! lol
even at 37.5 they have more than that in parts...
LOL yes! 😂😂
Yeah when they can’t get a replacement mirror cap they just total out the vehicle
🤣🤣I love the energy guys, like even the list behind is just all over the place n not fussy love it. i could watch Donut everyday all day
If you just want something reliable with most modern features and a clean look i bought my 2016 scion ia for 10,500 with 45k miles. Touch screen, push to start, bluetooth, traffic sensors, backup camera, and automated cruise control, fake carbon fiber trim It isn’t fast but I’ve already seen rental companies and rideshare drivers with over 180k and zero complaints
Look them up seriously a clean looking car for the price with alloy rims and color matching side mirrors
A old buddy of mine who does a daily ~150mile(each way) commute, used to buy Yaris after Yaris. Hit 200k, sell it, buy another. They never let him down and gave him around 40mpg if I remember right. Good buy, I hope it treats you the same!
Good thing I stayed home from school
A car im shocked they didnt mention is the Audi TT MK2, a lot of times you can get this car at 10k or a little under it! It has the exact same engine as the Golf GTI so it has quite a bit of aftermarket support.
Its an awesome car you can use all year round, its easy to work on, and coolest part, it has an active aero spoiler!
Or if you want even cheaper you can get the MK1 TT for under $5k.
True I own a mk1 225 currently and love it
@@Wafflecombo54ey nice, extremely underrated cars. I prefer the more modern style of the MK2 but man I've seen some insanely clean mk1s, they can have such a beautiful retro look.
as a gti guy, I always see these as that fun cousin you always love to see at family gatherings
The TT was not stable at high speeds and killed people. It’s also slower than my v6 mustang
@@yipperdipper3189that's the MK1, but that stability issue wasn't that big of an issue. In America at least, it wasn't a slaughterhouse by any means.
And sure you might say it's slower, and it is. But it's a great platform for modifying, the MK1 and MK2. Depending where you live a MK1 is significantly cheaper than a V6 mustang. It's also significantly more unique. And it can be built for just about anything, thanks to AWD. It can be a mean little rally car.
as an owner of an ‘06 v70r who just purchased your new fuzzy dice, they look amazing hanging from my mirror
NC has double wishbone at the front and multilink at the rear, same as the Rx8. Not on all four corners.
i called the one series. it just makes sense, its a hatchback or coupe rear wheel drive and light weight, it can fir a straight 6 engine so the engine bay is spacey and i see it as a great candidate for engine swaps. and its an amazingly fun car stock as well even at the puney 1.6L engine, its light weight and fun and most importantly cheap in every department if you know what your doing and fix things yourself.
3252 lbs / 1475 kg is not "light weight" lmao
And in my mind it would totally make sense to put a k20 in it if you’re going to change the engine because it’s a more safe engine compared to a lot of engines available in that car, like it’s a reason why no one makes any power mods for the smaller engine it’s because they are unreliable. And as I stated before I think it’s a great platform to build out from. It’s fucking cheap and parts are cheap and everywhere, in addition to this it’s one of the only rear wheel drive hatches out there
@@jamesheedrpg_god-boss3676lol literally I saw in forums that if bmw released ALL cars to the US their image would change real quick we
hearing u guys mention the Volvo is sick! I own a Volvo s60r and I was wondering when one of these would make an appearance in your vid
I love my s40 t5 ❤
I see a lot of new cars on the road and always wandered how they could afford them. Then I decided to buy a new car, after saving a decade, negotiating with every car dealer in us, borrowing money due to increased prices, wanting 2800 off, settling for 2000 off, fly 1000 miles to get a deal, staying in hotel on the way back, settling for a car with 1000 miles, filling out the paperwork myself, I finally have a base model new car on SS income. I am very happy!!!
The 7th gen celica gts with the 6 speed manual is a solid choice for fwd fun under 10k.
You can easily find clean ones in good condition for around 4k
Teeny tiny aftermarket support mostly from
Monkey wrench racing from the UK
@titaniumoverdrive259 This is true. But they have almost everything you would need. The only thing they don't have are wheels, tires, and more than 1 coilover option. (These can easily be found elsewhere)
So for a first or second car, the options are fine.
Got my 07 3v Mustang for 10k in 2018 at 17 as my first car bone stock. Last year I ran 11.6 in the 1/4 with 167k miles on the dash🫡 I autocross, road race, and daily drove it plus did lots of road trips in it. I freaking LOVE the car.
No, no you didn’t. That’s faster then a new gt does it stock
I knew the Volvo was gonna make it to the list
I haven't gotten past the intro yet and when I saw the R badge I said to myself "oh no, don't inflate these until I can get my hands on one"
paid 10k for my mk1 audi tt 3.2 quattro ab 6 months ago, been loving the vr6 and dsg combo in such a small awd car
Hi low mustang sounds crazy
7:08 we have another hi,low let's go
yeah i think so. that's gonna be exciting. looking forward to it.
2007-08 Hyundai Tiburon GT, looks way faster than it is and people who don’t know what it is think it’s a 20k car
Pontiac Solstice Convertible.
That Cayenne drive, 911 Design is close to me. Did y'all do that on Mt Baldy Rd?
Focus and fiesta ST. Lots of them, some abused, but so much fun from the factory. Not the fastest but feels quick and, once again so much fun.
Ive been suggesting a mustang drag Hi Low since season 1. So happy to hear they are doing it!
More Jimmy please. He's great on camera
So psyched he finally got his own episode with the jeep
Goddamnit. The V70R?!
Almost at a million views.
It's over boys. Donut Tax coming for the good stuff!
My pick is the Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstice. You can find them all day long for 10k with low miles and in excellent condition because no one dailied them.
I miss my Solstice. It was so much fun. Basically a Miata made for tall Americans.
The Saturn Sky Redlines, I love the styling but my concern is part support considering GM dumped the entire Saturn and Pontiac lines years ago.
@@AxGryndr Drivetrain parts are still available, but interior panels, trim, and lights are not easy to find outside of a few aftermarket productions.
QUIT POINTING IT OUT DAMMIT now I can’t even afford an affordable car 😂😂
Donut and others should stop promoting BetterHelp.
Y?
@@ajp3168 BetterHelp was caught selling their patients' confidential data to Facebook, Snapchat, Criteo, and Pinterest.
Do you have a reason?
@IraqVet0608 they sold patients data to basicly everyone
@@ajp3168they're a crappy company that doesn't actually care about helping people and only cares about profits. They spend a ton on advertisement and they don't treat their therapists well, the therapists they do have often miss appointments and customers still get charged. There's a lot of reasons and videos out there documenting why they're so shitty. Everyone should stop supporting them.
Great recommendation for the F-150 just so you know though you forgot to mention that the 5.4 liter V8 especially between the years of 2006 to 2009 had major issues with the spark plugs on the motor, So please watch out for that
All these cars went up 5 Gs because of this video in a day.😂😂😂
For people wanting something similar to a Civic Si, 2003-2006 Toyota Matrix XRS and Pontiac Vibe GTs can also be found under 10k. It has the 1.8L 2zz-ge 4 banger with HP ranging from 164-180 depending on the model year (03-04s have 180) that was used in the Celica GT-S and the Lotus Elise. Also has a 6 speed manual, or a automatic trans only on a few of the '03 XRS models that were quite rare.
I own a '03 Matrix XR that has all the sport packages but with the base 1zz-fe 130HP engine and a 5 speed manual, but I still have one hell of a time in the canyons. Would always recommend these cars to anyone, and the XRS/GT is a fun Civic Si contender.
05-08 is probably the best years especially for the Pontiac because they got a facelift as well as fixing that reliability concern
you cant buy under ANY of these cars for under 20k (25k realistically) USD in australia
Rip
Just had a look. NCs start at 9k. EP3s start at 12k.
Same in malaysia, even if we could found a high displacement v8 car with cheap price, the road tax will be expensive as well
L country
You can't buy a gun either
Scored me a 5spd 2008 Mazda3 Hatch with the 2.3L for just a bit under 4k a few months ago! Its a dream and its been a blast learning manual. Bought it with about 62k miles, almost at 67k now and I couldn't be happier! Def got a steal of a deal! An NC would have been fun, but the hatch is hard to beat! Cheers to all the shoppers out there and best of luck!
