Yes I was Impressed in how quickly you put this tone together of Eddies, especially when you have never used this device before, that alone shows your experience and knowledge regarding using guitar gear, when it comes to finding the right sound, well done Sophie Burrell!
What a piece of kit and especially for the money 👏👏 Great demonstration Sophie. 💯👌👌👌 Really got a lot from seeing how you developed the tone Thanks for sharing And definitely more tone creation videos 🙏🙏🙏🙏🤘👍😎
It's amazing how some guitar sounds are so associated with individual artists that it's clear what artist you're emulating even when you're not playing a specific song of theirs.
A devoted follower! I started playing guitar again last year watching you play Crazy Train, etc. You inspire me to keep trying, I have Les Paul and Marshall amps but no matter what i do i CANNOT get any decent tone! Thanks for the instructional videos. I bought this pedal after watching your video and will try to get that Van Halen tone!
I actually saw a tank G on Amazon a couple weeks ago. I guess it was that purple that caught my eye and I wondered about it so thanks a lot for reviewing it here .I’ll probably go back and pick it up.
A lot of it is the musician. You are Uber talented and that goes a long way. Amp tones matter but not if you aren’t good. Pretty cool pedal for the money.
HELLO SOPHIE EVH SOUND WAS SPOT ON ! I really enjoy your videos you are indeed a rare talent and deserving of all the accolades. Right now I AM IN HURRICANE MODE trying to preserve my home from this monster hurricane . ON west coast of Florida USA hopefully we can make it thru this without major trauma to our family. Anyhow back to music would appreciate more EVH tunes . Also have you heard EVH son's band Wolfgang's band ' MAMMOTH" they are quite good totally different rock than his father's but you can hear the influence ... I personally love the song Epiphany . Keep up the good work ROCK ON!!
Great demo Sophie. Bought on Amazon for $68 (got 20%) off the list price. Thanks for the heads up. For the money it can’t be beat, and it feels pretty rugged with its steel case.👍
I had been trying to get EVH's tone for a long time. For Ain't Talkin' Bout Love you want to use a 316ms (echoplex)delay with just one repeat and a low mix setting, preferably in front of your amp(model). The reverb is a bit weird since on the recording the guitar is panned left and just the reverb of the guitar on the right side, but a little Plate reverb will do. On the intro Eddie is using a Flanger which just get's turned on for the last few notes of the riff, for the whammy lead parts and the solo he is using a phaser though.
I played guitar in the early 70s , it really wasn't this complicated . I'd definitely be lost with all the new technology, but for $90 and the sound it produced for this van Halen song was amazing.
I just discovered your channel and I frickin' love watching and listening to you perform! Forgive me if this has been asked before, but could you play some Def Leppard from the Pyromania-Hysteria era? Steve Clark wrote some very clever guitar lines for two guitars to play simultaneously. There is a melodic thread between them that I find uplifting.
Cherub Rock was a little wrong, the way he plays D to A is really cool; you keep the tenth fret on the Low E pressed down the whole time and you alternate between F# and it's octave with the open D struck and then the open A, the c# on the 11th fret of D and its relative minor third on G which is E (9th fret of G) and the A a 4th above it. It was published in a series Billy did back in the erly 90s for Guitar World.
That's not too bad, really! I try not to "tone chase" too much, honestly. The guy I get my gear from once told me "There's 2 pieces of equipment you'll never have - his heart, and his hands." That saved me SO much money lol. But that little thing...I might look into, just to see what kind of tones it has for ME. Thanks Sophie!!
Hi there Sophie, this is Troxs Thought I give in and check what this TH-cam tent would be about and it's something interesting for us guitar players. Think I came to find out that I'm a simple plug in and play. Well it's more over because I don't hardly play but have the edge to get the board with wires and flick, string and guitar. Alright it came to light that I need a job, to support me and me music. Good job. 🎸
Looks like it is actually Cuvave/M-vave pedal. While they have their own brand(s), they also offer their pedals (and other products) as OEM products for others to build their own brand.
evh in an interview said players used to laugh at his rig which I thinks was just a distortion pedal. Said his studio sound was just tubes being fried.
I BOUGHT MINE ON NOVEMBER 5TH, but I'm from Venezuela so I'm getting it on November 15th according to Amazon, I'm extremely eager cuz I'm having a gig on Saturday 16th and my old multi effects pedal broke down 😢
Today is the 4 year anniversary of Eddie’s death. RIP 🕊️

Van Halen-ish is accurate. For $90 and ease of set up, great product. Thanks for sharing!
I cant play a single note on the guitar. Its very interesting watching someone break a classic track down like that . Great video
I just bought it on Amazon for $79 !! Thanks Sophie from Maryland USA!!
BALTIMORE? I'm a big O's fan!
2:50 reverb section sounds gorgeous
That's really good, EVH is smiling down on you after that.
That’s a beautiful guitar and the sounds in that pedal are amazing!
What a piece of kit and especially for the money 👏👏
Great demonstration Sophie. 💯👌👌👌
Really got a lot from seeing how you developed the tone Thanks for sharing
And definitely more tone creation videos 🙏🙏🙏🙏🤘👍😎

Ikr, Metallica is a perfect example. Can’t do anything these days without ‘copying’ someone else 😂

Wow that’s Awesome Sophie it sounds Amazing
Very nice well done! You worked it out pretty quick!🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I got my son the $35 version of this - it doesn't do QUITE as much, but does quite a bit. Fantastic demo on this. Thanks Soph!
I really started feeling it about 7:37
Great demo, something perfect for the beginning player to start the pedal collection and intro to amp modeling.
Awesome Sophie you are very talented and fun to watch your vids
I actually saw a tank G on Amazon a couple weeks ago. I guess it was that purple that caught my eye and I wondered about it so thanks a lot for reviewing it here .I’ll probably go back and pick it up.
What a great way to remember EVH on this day, 4 years ago, no one will ever come close. You rock girly girl. 🤘🤘🤘
Awesome Sophie, rocking as always!!!!
Love the demo Sophie, and that sounded like the original Van Halen tone to me! I'm going to look into that pedal after watching this video👍
A lot of it is the musician. You are Uber talented and that goes a long way. Amp tones matter but not if you aren’t good. Pretty cool pedal for the money.
Hell yeah, that sounds cool! Crazy what $90 can get you today. I started with a 15watt peavey rage and a boss metalzone
Incredible video SOPHIE. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT
The soft focus is strong in this video.
Nice pedal board BTW
Great video Sophie it certainly shows that you don't need to spend loads of money to get good equipment

Dude def gonna get this thank you so much for this!!!!!
Really, really close. Very nice. I love the way you broke it down. Taught me something new. Thanks.
I believe that EVH only used flanger on the last three notes, not the arpeggiate bit, switching it on and off with his foot while playing it live.
I agree! I saw video of that, the flanger is only last three notes of the lick
Amazing tone!!! I’m impressed by the quality. It does match with EVH’s. Superb!🤘😎🎸
Great demo Sophie. Bought on Amazon for $68 (got 20%) off the list price. Thanks for the heads up. For the money it can’t be beat, and it feels pretty rugged with its steel case.👍
Just watched musicians mansion ,it was amazing , you did us proud girl!!! All the best new fan xx
Thanks Sophie. Great review. I was looking for something like this. Just purchased one on UK Amazon 😎
I played a gig without amp with this and it was amazing.
purchased! Thank you for an insightful demo and showcasing the ease of use.
You are beautiful too. Your playing is also beautiful. I watch your videos every day🎉❤❤🎸🎸🎸
Thanks for a terrific demo. Great playing. I thought that little unit sounded absolutely spot on and is crazy daft value for money.
Seems like a nice backup/bedroom solution. Used to hate this stuff but they're starting to sound pretty good.
It's so weird that the fact that this accepts amp profiles went unmentioned. Feels like the best selling point of the thing.

A good start for a future series on the channel❤
That is very impressive, sure sounds spot on, to me, I would wager, most.
Pretty cool. I’ve got a Marshall code 100. One of the presets is called “volcano”. It has a really nice “ain’t talkin bout love” effect.
Great job miss Sophie ❤
you can also load your own amp profiles and IRs
I love listening to you play the guitar you're amazing
Love it! What fun pedal/modeler! I still think ToneX One is my pedal of the year, but hot damn Tank-G came to play
£67 it’s fantastic,I’m buying one, thank you for the review 5*
Nice stuff...well done Sophie
Thank you that is so cool I need to get one
Well done, sophie.... Eddie would approve! 😊

Unbelievable what we can achieve for so little money, these days
And may I say that you nailed the review Soph 🎸🤙
1:55 didn't know that smashing Pumpkins were an influence to you 😀 nice!
Cool pedal!
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! Device, sound, playing and the gorgeous lady of course.
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
The recreation turned out pretty awesome and speaking of... The girl is incredible! That hair tho 😘
It also helps when tube sock Burrell is playing the tune.
What a nifty little gadget, Sophie. You demoed it really well. Does it only come in those pretty colors? 😂
You have a great ear and it’s Van Halen in the gym tomorrow for sure
Cool piece !
The tones remind me of the solid state stuff from the late 80's/early 90's.

I'm having late 90s Zoom 505 trauma. It sounded actually pretty decent until that phaser murdered it.
Glad it's not just me, I thought it sounded really close and then drifted away.

EVH Tone Demo was ELECTRIC FIRE⚡️🔥
Great video
I ❤️ your 💜 for PRS! ☺️
This is a pretty sweet pedal.

I'd actually like to see you recreate the tone from "A.F.U. (Naturally Wired)", at least the intro. But yeah, nice stuff!
I love it when cheap gear doesn’t sound like someone doing a bowel movement in your ear! 👍😎
I am happy that I subscribed to your channel
This was fun! 👍
if u can really make that sounds... u don`t need TH-cam channel. you`re a rock star!
Great, sounds, excellent job yes, spot on, super yes, very, vanhalen,❤love it 😀 😊 😊😊😊
Look at you, tossing in some Mastodon hooks! I *think* we're going to maybe need a cover.. 😆
That sounds pretty damn good for $90 great video!
Thanks So, well done.
The effect pedal worth it.
I LOVE when you said flange...
SOPHIE ON MY ELECTRONIC REWORKS. I like sophie, my Gb guitarist.
You GOT it love! Rockin'! \m/
I bought the Nux mighty air stereo wireless amp 🪁 from musicians friend 🪄 the pedal amp 🪁 182.00 saved 29.45☄️ on black Friday 🛒
Great video. Thanks for the review.
Question - does the delay trail or cutout when you turn it off?
Love to hear some Mastodon in there!
My tones are only evh❤
Excellent 🎸💯
Awesome thank you. S.
evh in an interview said players used to laugh at his rig which I thinks was just a distortion pedal. Said his studio sound was just tubes being fried.
He had the variac to undervolt the Plexis and get more gain. That's part of it too
Your guitar is beautiful!!!
I'am impressed by you. Wooowww!!!
Great tone out of that thing. Can it be midi controlled?
You look Marvelous! You look like a little princess but I know you’re really an adult princess. ❤ Oh yeah, you also sound great too. We just love you.
for this price is insane omg
Thanks 😊
I just got my tank g from play well yesterday
Cool beans 😮
I BOUGHT MINE ON NOVEMBER 5TH, but I'm from Venezuela so I'm getting it on November 15th according to Amazon, I'm extremely eager cuz I'm having a gig on Saturday 16th and my old multi effects pedal broke down 😢
