Beagles are ALWAYS vocal about everything! And they are natural performers, so they tend to be just a bit dramatic! I remember when my little beagle did the reverse sneezing for the first time and I had no idea what the hell that was and I got panicky! Love Oliver...he makes me laugh as well as my own rescued beagle, Maggie. The unique sound Maggie makes is her emotional crying when one of us comes home....even if it's just a half hour. Our vet said that beagle can be "drama queens"! Will "Puppy Therapy" be available for androids? I want to play the music during the next heavy rain. I woke up at 4am and saw this video. My beagle came running in and was intrigued by Oliver's sounds. Boomer and I didn't know the snow snuffling sounds as we live in the south and don't get much snow.
Oliver has proved so many times that he can express, what he feels or wants very clearly. But he can also 'talk' so lovely in that many variations. There never is any doubt, what he is talking about, and especially, what he really wants. Awesome, 'Cocker Spaniel' from Germany. 😉🙋♀️

My 3 month old wire haired pointer is sitting here watching and listening to "Oliver" and is so intrigued with him and barking. I'm telling him this is the famous "Oliver the beagle."🐕
Loved watching Oliver nibble his own tail. Didn’t know this was possible. One time, Oliver, your snoring took me back to an earthquake I experienced in East Timor, a kind of snoring-roaring that sounds like trucks approaching while earth trembles. !!! True. Love you, Oliver! 💙
Scott and Wayne (Edited comment, I SOMEHOW missed that livestream!!) . I have owned two beagles, one that came to our house out of the woods with no tags on. He had a porcupine quill stuck in his face along with worms and about anything else that you can think of wrong with him. We of course took him in immediately and during our 4th of July cookout I spent most of the day trying to find one of my 3 vets that would see him the same day. Two grand and a month later he was in perfect health except for the teeth he had ground down after being in the woods for who knows how long by someone who had definitely dumped him. What a love he was, he and my Great Pyrenees were best of buddies, he would not move a muscle if Bob was not part of whatever was going on. OK, I know the setup took a while, but Sherlock, the beagle, made 11 of those sounds. A year after Sherlock passed we adopted the most scared beagle I have ever seen in my life. Her wire cage shook from the abuse she must have endured. She was dumped at the Humane Society with 9 of her puppies. The puppies were all adopted and I am sure if we did not adopt Blossom that she would have been euthanized. Blossom on the other hand made 15 of the noises after the first 6 months after spending 24 hours a day with her. After that period I took her to the college I taught at and she spent all day (till 10PM) with my students and myself (with my Deans blessing) Thanks ever so much for the wonderful Beagle videos. As an aside, I am sure that you heard about the 4000 beagles that were rescued in Virginia and a half months ago. They can be seen and adopted this coming Monday the 19th. Let's see if the new beagle makes all 18, I am looking forward to meeting all of the Beagles and bringing one home to a forever home!!
As we get older we find ourselves making new ungodly sounds all the time. Oliver is no exception. He's just a lot cuter when he does them. The reverse sneeze one had me a bit worried though.
Love how although they are all so unique, beagles do have so many things in common! Ours have the reverse sneezing too and although it's not harmful it does always sound so bad for them. But my lord, the unnecessary scratching?! Our younger one always sleeps under blankets, when there is no blanket available she will scratch everywhere, as if there was a possibility to get into furniture as a blanket. Also I would add "snoring" in general. You know it's serious when your dogs appear in the snoring protocol of your sleep tracker...
For about six months he did that nearly every single day after we got home from our walks, and always on that exact same step. I'm not sure why! I sort of miss it--he hasn't done it in a while. Maybe he was releasing pent-up energy?
