@HeathsGarage I grew up watching Herbie on TV, VHS and DVD, and seeing someone as dedicated as you are to recreating my favorite Disney car, and getting him correct to the T, just takes me down memory lane....
Hands down the most clean Herbie build , each line is crispy down to the gaps definitely even nicer then the movie cars lol he is prestine and attention to detail is superb hands down my favorite build
Couldn’t click on the video fast enough when I saw it was heaths garage! Absolutely stunning job mate hands down most accurate & detailed Herbie build yet!
For Halloween, how about turning herbie into a Ghostbuster with some of the same stuff from the ECTO 1, along with herbie's racing patterns, and keep the number 53 on the hood , back and put the Ghostbusters logos on the doors
Hey! Where did you get the 200hp engine?? I’m restoring my 63 and I like the look and fit of the one you got! So I was curious on if you’d share that information?
Spine chilling listenting to motorway pulls, just as I remember in the movies! Have you an engine spec on the work done to have the engine in the condition its in?
@HeathsGarage Do you recall the brand mate? Im at a stage where I'm doing body work & needing to seal, i figured id use the primer to match whatever topcoat (I'll likely use 2k) also, Did you clear coat Herb? Your paint job looks so smooth im guessing you're just naturally talented at painting, especially in the booth you used!
I think you should check again, this is a ‘Herbie goes to Monte Carlo’ replica. The car was grey inside with off white high back seats so the stunt driver could see through the black mesh from the rear seat. Correct, my car is right hand drive. I live in Australia where we drive on the right. Please feel free to attach a link or pic of your perfect Herbie replica 😏
My boy....he's beautiful! I love what you've done with this beautiful beetle!
Thankyou! I really appreciate the kind words :)

I bought it from CB Performance in California. Built by Pat Downs.
@@HeathsGarage awesome thank you!

The engine was built by CB Performance in California. They have a variety of combo's depending on price. Highly recommend their products! :)
Love it! What is the black round thing on the front bumper?
Thanks mate! 😎👍🏼
It is a Carello fog light (as seen in Herbie goes to Monte Carlo)
Fantastic car, truly a wonderful sight to see in person i reckon. Quick question where did you pick up the wheels and decals from?
Thank you 😊
The wheels were custom made and the Herbie decals are from Mrherbie.com
This gray interior looks fantastic. What's the color code you used?
Hey Heath. Given you have a lot of experience, what paint type would you suggest? 1k -2k etc, what do you use for your Herbie??
2k paint is a lot better than 1k. I painted my Herbie in 2k (along with all my cars)
It isn’t as forgiving as 1k paint, but it is a lot more durable
