- In an ecstatic 4x400 Final, USC displayed their dominance by setting a Collegiate Record, Facility Record, NCAA Meet Record, and World Best of 3:00.77. Texas A&M, having only American runners on their 4x400, sets the Indoor World Record, 3:01.39.

It's because Rai Benjamin, while he was still in college, was representing Antigua & Barbuda, not the US. All four athletes have to represent the same country for it to be a world record.

Check their reasoning for not ratifying the 400m record, or any news regarding his feat(Inside the Games calls it a “technicality”, T&F News has it down as lack of anti-doping procedure)
