The 4X100m relay is not just individual speed. It is team speed along with team baton transfer skills! Team Canada has run together as a team many times. Congratulations Team Canada!
So true the Canadian rely team have been together for5/7 years I believe and (three runners remaining the same only one changed out twice)it showed on the outside lane just running through the motions..
US deep field hurts themselves here, as they don't have as much practice for each pair's baton transfer. Now that Jamaica isn't as hot, baton failure is kinda the only way US loses.
Thats awesome... so for 2028 and even 2032 they will still be in their prime years... South Africa will be a force for years to come if they stay healthy...
True it is not just individual speed. Canada had NO One in the 100m or 200m finals and DeGrasse was injured. Sabine and Degrasse made up ground to win the medals. Japan and Italy were leading!
Especially on a wet track. He has been clocked at 43 odd km/h recently, which is only second best to Noah and Kishane Thompson by a fraction on the higher end. Bolt for comparison, was on the high end of 44km/h but yeah, that extra km/h makes the winning difference!
Congrats to Canada and South Africa, and Great Britian. Absolutely amazing how these 3 teams came from behind to win 1st 2nd and 3rd place finishes. But of course De Grasse is my all-time favorite.
@@Mad_Intellect Canada did win Gold in the past at the 96 Olympics in this event beating the US on their home turf but also have medaled the last 2 Olympics as well at this relay.
