Loved the video. I apologize for all the blurry and pixely footage, but playing at Low Resolution and 50% Downsizing helped me improve my loadtimes - hey, I'm a speedrunner.

I had no idea the FFXV speedrun community was so active
I believe the community is fairly inactive nowadays outside of any major discoveries or events like the upcoming FF Relay. The only person I know of who still regularly runs the game is Kyoslilmonster who's been running the game weekly since close to the game's launch.
We're not very active.
I dunno why but everything about how the final boss goes just feels BEYOND cursed LOL.
If you want something even more cursed, some runs get to Phase 2 of Ardyn with him frozen, and it looks like something out of a horror movie 😂

@@mainejojo so. Speedrunner here. You're more correct than you know. Most things are very minor in the run. Besides amg the next biggest thing is skipping most of ch 10. But the little glitches are like jumping across a falling platform etc.
Its honestly well programmed in that sense. Its just when you do break it. Oh boy. Lol.
And the hunt for faster times still continues today.
What's hilarious about this is that this game got broken beyond belief years ago already but for a completely different purpose. The true endgame: taking pretty pictures of your boyband. Granted, we also have free access to mods when we're just here for pretty boy pics, so we'd just load up that instead of having to go through all the setups. But glitches in XV have been quite well documented even before it came out for PC. Shoutout to the 1.0 party member Ardyn and swim to Altissia setups!!
Qaz out here sharing the good word about FFXV speedruns. None of this would be possible without d_winds putting in hard work and contributions from people like Yidamoda, niedel, and other members of the JP speedrun/glitch community.

How da fack people find all these glitches??? I never understood that! Because it's very specific! Even if i stumble upon some bug i wouldn't remember how and what i did and would never be able to repeat it. This is insane!
Dwinds spent months just messing around for how to do it for us. *lots* of trial and error.
Well, when Sega games would glitch in my favor, I would try to do it over and over. Only mastered one in Justice League Task Force. I could one shot everyone in the ladder simply by jumping towards my opponent and holding down the heavy attack button with Superman.

Most footage was from a speedrun. Graphics were turned all the way down to make the game run faster.

It's a speedrun, so graphics are turned all the way down to make the game run better. This includes the resolution, so the worse graphics gets scaled up and look pixely as well.
