I'm really happy that Square put the tag "For old Fans and New fans." In the intro. I've played FF games since 10, and fell in love with the series. But it was hard to get some friends into the Final Fantasy series, until 15 came out. And I bought 4 copies for me and my boys. They clowned me so hard for being a weeb. But when they played it, they really fell hard for the series. Lmao.
Platinum’d this game during lockdown. Funny enough, I did not die once throughout the main game but ending up dying when I crashed the flying Regalia. Oddly enough, we hit a billboard. 😂
Most people that don't like it were people who wanted Versus 13 instead of what it eventually became as 15. The hate also comes from the game being extremely unpolished and unfinished. 80% of the plot was scrapped and the majority of the cutscenes were scrapped. The second half of the open world was also discarded. I still love the game, I just think it's filled with wasted potential and unfinished ideas/content.
It's always a pleasure when you find a game that really should be a grind, but still you find yourself enjoying every minute. Glad this was such a positive experience for you after the frustration from a lot of the previous wheels.
This has quickly become one of my favourite channels after finding it a few months ago. I love the wheel idea, it's really refreshing to see things switched up. Great job with the videos, man. We appreciate you! Also: add Enter the Gungeon to the wheel, that plat would be great!
I love this game. Its just an adventure with the boys. Also this has to be experience in japanese voice overs for a full enjoyment because you can feel those emotions there in the fullest. Thank you for the video 😊
Yeah I'm going to keep that in mind for next time, the english dub really took me out of the story for a while there. Thank you for watching though, glad you enjoyed it!
Would love to see you platinum Enter The Gungeon. It's a Rougelike game where everything is gun themed (For example, almost every enemy is a bullet type.)
@@MayorHairBear Really liked the game aswell even went back in the day to 100% it, with all DLC and both Multiplayer Versions from Base game aswell the new one
FFXV is my favorite game in the series and of all time. I loved getting 100% on Xbox, and did pretty much everything in the game even after being done with achievement hunting. The story and the characters make the so much fun. I got the Royal edition on PS4 and got the platinum in about 70hrs. The development hell of the game can be felt but damn it’s so freaking good
Good stuff man! I'm in a very similar boat as you, where I've just never been all that interested in Final Fantasy or JRPGs in general, so I'm glad to see you enjoyed this one! I just recently dove into the series myself and completed Stanger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin back in August, after a friend bugged me to do it in coop with him. It was a lot of fun until the absolutely awful DLC, which had a lot of forced solo content. I stuck it through anyway for the 100%, but it was miserable.
Congrats on the plat! I have the same skepticism about starting playing the FF games, seems like a great task and timesink but will probably give it a go at some point. Also for the wheel I recommend adding Helheim Hassle, think I have mentioned it before but it is a really great puzzle platformer and a great platinum!
Glad you ended up liking that game and I think it's a great choice for a first platinum in the series because it's by far one of the least grindy of the "modern" Final Fantasy games.
I'm glad you enjoyed FFXV, I really do think most of the hate it gets is unfounded and granted it's different take on the series but overall it's a pretty fun game. I think Tales of Arise is something you'd enjoy. It's a lengthy game but the trophy list is pretty fun overall and on the easier side.
Yeah I remember this game being not the most popular back at release but I had fun with it and if this is a low point for the series as many say then I'm in for a hell of a series! I'll add Tales to the wheel!
ya and it was the last trophy i had to go and do but fun fact this was the first platinum i went for and to this date i have a good 32 to my name as i mostly go for plats if i think i can do it and if the games realy fun
I remember vids of people spending like 15 minutes using the ring of the lucii on adamantoise. I've finished it but haven't gotten the platinum. When I see you get it, I'll feel inspired to go back and get it as well.
I didn't mind the fishing part but again, it didn't take me too long. The Survival skill was terrible though! And absolutely I can add Kena to the list!
I have pretty similar feelings and experience of this series. It absolutely felt so big that getting into it would be so difficult. But this year during a steam sale i noticed ff15 had a playable demo. i thought well nothing to lose so i installed it and i loved it. I somehow put almost 19 hours into it but i didnt finish the game and stopped playing. I plan on going back to finish it or to play 7 remake but for now im staying in my comfort zone with games lol
Yeah I can feel it's going to be one of those series, especially for me the turn based games are going to be interesting as that's not my favourite but hey, every once in a while its good to explore outside the ol' comfort zone!
@MayorHairBear I specifically looked for the non turn based ones. I feel like I need to get more invested before I start playing those because I dont like turn based combat either. Definitely good to get out of your comfort zone every now and then but I've mostly played games out of my comfort zone this year so I needed a bit of a break.
I also did it myself fairly recently and was in the same boat as you, not a fan of JRPG and all. But I had a blast plating it and really enjoyed the ''boys doing a road trip'' kinda vibe!
Great video mate!! Glad to see you finally get the platinum as I was wondering when we would get the vid as I was there in that stream when the wheel gave you FF lol Keep smashing out the great content 🤘😎🤘🔥
Whenever I play a game, I pretty much go for ALL the DLC trophies on top of the platinum. And something that has me nervous about doing that for Final Fantasy 15 is how the online servers are dead but there is this weird method to get them even after the servers are dead but I'm I might accidentally botch something and mess up my chances so I'd rather just wait for a PS5 remaster

I love the final fantasy games my only problem with the trophy grind is there is always at least 1 trophy that’s just a joke to get and all fulls down to luck
Respect! I've never played any final fantasy game but it's everywhere so knew it was an rpg which isn't really my genre.. wanted to try it but when jumping into a franchise I like to start from the beginning and I don't understand the order of the franchise either so it's too scary for me😅 the 1-3 actually look fun as I do enjoy some turn based games.. I don't know the list but how about rdr, rdr2, ghost of tsushima, cyberpunk 2077, LA noire, one of the borderlands, sifu and Detroit become human.. hopefully one of them isn't on the wheel already lol
Yeah it's a daunting series mate, as far as I know though you can jump around a lot in the series and play it non linearly which is cool as I'm not the biggest turn based fan. And as for your suggestions, all very popular and I even have an RDR 1 video for you already!
@MayorHairBear maybe one day I'll get into the series😅 for now I got so many others to catch up as I missed the ps3 days I did have a ps3 but was only offline gta 5, gt 5 and cod ghosts so now I have a ps5 and a ps3 I'm catching up with one's I find interesting! Oh, I watched the rdr video already😂
I really enjoyed getting this platinum back in the day when it first came out, but the DLC trophies and all the multiplayer stuff really put me off ever playing it again
That's exactly how I felt but they don't seem to be all that connected at least in terms of story. I found this one at least very easy to follow along with the basics
I guess this is the base game platinum and not the royal edition.I got it without even trying just by playing the game because I just loved it so much. It was my first platinum, too. The DLCs were great as well.
I got the plat before the dlc came out and I just can’t be bothered to do all of them to completion like I did the main game. Beat them all once that’s enough for me.
You should have played around with armiger unleashed and test the combos at least in training mode it's really fun. Also the last "secret" dungeon is pretty cool and you didn't do it either. Lastly i will say that this game on the surface doesn't really show why everyone was so hyped about it in the first place since it was so rushed. I won't explain the whole controversy about versusXIII here but basically this story is being redone properly inside kingdom hearts.
okay, but you have to play episode ardyn too, as it brings a whole new meaning to the main villain. also, im not gonna go on a whole rant, explaining this game’s extremely tortured development, but to put it simply, Ardyn was never meant to be the main villain, and the official ending of the game wasn’t the intended one. there were 3 unreleased dlc chapters that were gonna be in a season pass with episode ardyn which would have given the game the ending the developers intended, but unfortunately, the director was done dealing with the game’s tortured development cycle and being left to patch it all up, so the three unreleased episodes were released in a book titled “Dawn of the Future” which contains the game’s *true* ending, which is imo much better. im personally very passionate about the story of- and behind - this game, cause this game was a highly influential part of my childhood, and has inspired me through the writing of my books. it’s okay if you’re not as passionate about it as i am, but i would suggest that, if you’re interested, you play lol the dlc and if you’re a reader at all, read the Dawn of the Future
i played most ff games, and i really thing ff15 is really underrated! this video brings back memories since ff15 is my 2nd platinum, and i only have 2😅(the other one is horizon zd)
There's a bunch of combat mechanics in ffxv that most people don't know about because they don't even prompt tutorials for them, it's very unfortunate. For anyone reading this check combat tutorials ingame, basically pushing the stick to the side or back, then attacking has different attacks for greatswords and lances. with the ring of the lucii if you tap your attacks instead of holding the button down you can do stupidly strong warp strikes after, again check the tutorials for context. My sister is a huge Final Fantasy fan, she's got 100% on at least half the mainstream titles but even she just holds attack with the strongest set of daggers she could find.
I platinumed this game a couple months back, and yeah I have to say this is my favourite ff game to date. It doesn’t even compare to the crappy ff7 remakes.
Starting with FFXV is like saying you've never had cheeseburger in your life and for your first burger you pick a mystery meat burger with olives and anchovies.
You are sooo lucky you don't have to get the dlc trophies to get a plat xD im out here on pc and i only get 100% achievements when i do the dlcs and multiplayer (i think). congrats nonetheless, this is a major feat!
I think so too, I remember people really bagging this game out but I think it's great and if it is truly the low point of the series... then I'm in for a good time!
@MayorHairBear Had me worried for a bit there, thought you'd maybe tried it and decided it wasn't worth the stress 🤣. Both games are fantastic and I've got all the achievements on both, it can be tough but it's well worth it imo
I think I agree. 16 is too one note. It's a great note but doesn't deviate from its core much at all. 15 at least had some cool optional dungeons and some other features. Armiger unleashed is beast
I did mostly enjoy the game but the platinum trophy had the opposite effect on me. It was pretty easy but man was it boring. I didn't even play the DLCs because I just wanted to move on to another game the second I got the platinum.
XV was my first final fantasy and I’ll never forget the way it made me feel that first time

okay, but you have to play episode ardyn too, as it brings a whole new meaning to the main villain. also, im not gonna go on a whole rant, explaining this game’s extremely tortured development, but to put it simply, Ardyn was never meant to be the main villain, and the official ending of the game wasn’t the intended one. there were 3 unreleased dlc chapters that were gonna be in a season pass with episode ardyn which would have given the game the ending the developers intended, but unfortunately, the director was done dealing with the game’s tortured development cycle and being left to patch it all up, so the three unreleased episodes were released in a book titled “Dawn of the Future” which contains the game’s *true* ending, which is imo much better. im personally very passionate about the story of- and behind - this game, cause this game was a highly influential part of my childhood, and has inspired me through the writing of my books. it’s okay if you’re not as passionate about it as i am, but i would suggest that, if you’re interested, you play lol the dlc and if you’re a reader at all, read the Dawn of the Future
i played most ff games, and i really thing ff15 is really underrated! this video brings back memories since ff15 is my 2nd platinum, and i only have 2😅(the other one is horizon zd)
Ay if XV is olives and anchoives, then seems the only way to go is up wouldn't you say!
Keep up the quality content, maybe give Immortals Fenyx Rising a place on the wheel?
Thank you mate and already done my friend, I'd love to see it get picked it looks awesome!
I would recommend Omno. It's short and enjoyable platinum.
I believe I've got that one down for a challenge type video but it looks great!
You are sooo lucky you don't have to get the dlc trophies to get a plat xD im out here on pc and i only get 100% achievements when i do the dlcs and multiplayer (i think). congrats nonetheless, this is a major feat!
That's why I love platinum hunting, you get something for the base game 100%!
I recommend platinuming one of the middle earth games they are fun
I do need to finally play Shadow of War, I don't know why I've procrastinated so long!
Funny coincidence as im akso tackling ff15, as a long overdue backlog entry and gonna get all but the comrades achievements on xbox.
Hell yeah mate, well best of luck and I hope you enjoy the process!
I loved this game so much that the platinum was an enjoyable experience for me despite all the grind :)
I'm in the same boat my friend, it was a blast!
I'll never forgive how people treated this game during launch year. This was my first game into the franchise, and I love everything about it.
i honestly think this game was underrated, glad it popped up for you!
I think so too, I remember people really bagging this game out but I think it's great and if it is truly the low point of the series... then I'm in for a good time!
Time to get every achievment in FFXIV ;3
Maybe one day 😂
FFXV is one of my top 10 games of all time
It's a great game, I don't blame you!
Spider-Man 2. I know it’s just come out but wow it’s fun!
Just platinumed the game yesterday, video should be out next weekend!
You should absolutely add pathless dread hunter killer bean and persona 4 golden to the wheel keep up the great work
I'll look into them and add them!
Hey spelunky used to be on the wheel but it isnt on your list anymore, have you removed it from the wheel ?
Spelunky is still on the wheel, I just hadn't updated the list in a minute! Still there, still terrifying 😂
@MayorHairBear Had me worried for a bit there, thought you'd maybe tried it and decided it wasn't worth the stress 🤣. Both games are fantastic and I've got all the achievements on both, it can be tough but it's well worth it imo
I don't know if you have it on the wheel but one of my favourite games rage please try I'm sure you will love it
Now I feel dumb for spending 30+ minutes chipping Adamantoise's health down "legit" 😅
Nice one knocking this one out maybe another FF game in 3 years 🤔
Maybe sooner than that, I've got some ideas in how I can catch up in FF!
Rarely ever does FF suck. X is my favorite followed by XV and XVI, still have a lot of FF games to platinum.
I've got a lot to catch up on it seems and I'm pumped for it!
Thanks for a great video!!
Thank you for watching mate!
Unpopular opinion - I enjoyed XV MORE THAN XVI
I've heard that comment a few times on this video. Not played 16 but I do love 15!
I love it more than XVI as well
15 is alot better
Real ones know this is true
I think I agree. 16 is too one note. It's a great note but doesn't deviate from its core much at all. 15 at least had some cool optional dungeons and some other features. Armiger unleashed is beast
Nice video as always!
Thank you mate!
I’ve been level 5 fishing for like 5 years
Would love to see you platinum hotline miami 2
Wish I could mate, but it's banned in Aus!
Persona 5 Royal is such a basic platinum but a blast to do
I've heard that game is incredible, I'm hoping the wheel picks it soon!
Battlefield bad company 2 and battlefield hardline. There my favourite battlefield games
They don't make games like bad company 2 anymore. By far the best Battlefield game to date.
Bad Company 2 would be awesome! As for Hardline... keep an eye out, I might have something for you in the near future!
You should play the Rock of ages games
I'll add them to the wheel, they look fun as hell!
I did mostly enjoy the game but the platinum trophy had the opposite effect on me. It was pretty easy but man was it boring. I didn't even play the DLCs because I just wanted to move on to another game the second I got the platinum.
I’ve picked a random game from steam library to suggest, I would like you to platinum Dead Rising 2
