Ok I have a very complicated story but what I can say that I made mistakes and one of them affected his job. I did not forgive myself and I brought up these mistakes a lot and I was always available and I don’t give him “ the challenge “ that he craves by texting a lot ( it’s long distance and our communication is mostly via text ) .
After months he asked to be close friends at a time I was focusing on meditation and was not very involved with him. So I agreed and we went back and forth but I didn’t beg or anything but I kept initiating communication and he would always respond until he had to go for a business trip and while texting he responded and then decided to not respond again even though the message was not a question or anything serious . This lasted for a month and a week then I decided to send a positive message about my life without mentioning details and he responded back after a week to my message and wanted to know how I am.
I’m truly working on myself and my life. I’m actually seeing a lot of positive things but I’m not sure when I should respond , is it better to wait for another week or should I start revealing all the changes happening in my life ?

@@FrenchRelationshipExpert Why is there a disconnect? I can't answer why. I can only guess why. Some people tell me he's arrogant and he'll never give me what I want. He's a former Olympic athlete, he's now an officer in law enforcement. He's an alpha male.
I think the problem is mine. I get angry with him because he doesn't talk the way Im familiar with. I want him to be more caring and personally involved. He's more interested in end results. He handles things physically. I get angry with him when he doesn't talk the way I expect, he speaks indirectly in riddles, deflecting, and inferences. This causes frustration and confusion. I take the direct approach.
Is it even worth it to try to change someone? Shouldn't you just accept them as they are?
