I used to play a G.I. Joe game for NES I think it was this one. It's an awesome game. I used to own a large collection of G.I. Joe toys as well man I wish I still had them they would be worth so much today
This is in my top ten NES. This solid game doesn't get enough credit.
If someone told me this was some high quality fan game, I'd believe it. Really cool stuff. On my list for sure.
Nobuyuki Shioda is an absolute boss when it comes composing music for the NES. This and games like isolated warrior had pretty epic soundtracks

I had the Air craft carrier Toy and wish i had preserved and kept it.We had no idea the internet was coming.Most of us blew up our Joes or shot them with BB guns .Beavis and Butthead was too influential 😂
Funny, two weeks ago I played this one for the first time and I really liked it.
I want to add that the G.I JOE toys were a huge part of my childhood back in the 80's.
The vehicle that shoots missiles is the Sea Ray. Also, To completely beat the game you have to play through it 3 times.

@@mikematei I remember reading in Nintendo Power that after the 3rd play through, You get the true ending.
I think the title cards definitely made a difference back then. They were funny, created anticipation for each episode and helped to complete the idea of "the product" in our imaginations, sort of like retro video game manuals.
I was actually shocked how good this game is, the graphics are good and the gameplay is good aswell!! I've never heard of this game before now

I've been waiting so long for either Mike or James to do this game! It was one of my favorites, I played it back in 1991 or 92 when it was nearly new and I was 11 or 12. Such a highly underrated game a lot of people don't even know about. Excellent sound, graphics, music, and gameplay(the vehicles are so fun to get!) and replay value if you want to try and tackle on the 2nd missions with fewer team members and different bomb locations.
Okay, now I hit play, LOL!

Thank you for playing this one. As kids a friend and I played this one all the time. I always thought the graphics were good, and the fact that you could pick different characters made it memorable. Pretty challenging from what I remember. Thanks again!

Maybe they jump so high because they're related to a character from another great Taxan game - Low-G Man (the explosions are definitely the same).

Big fan of the Atlantis Factor GI Joe. Felt like it was much more action oriented than bomb missions.....Also Storm Shadow!

I played this a lot when I was younger and enjoyed it. I played it again recently, didn't enjoy it as much, but I can't really say what changed for me.
Blizzard has 2 qualities. Frist he has the biggest starting health pool, second his shots pass tru walls. I agree that he is the least usefull overall.
Duke: well rounded guy
Snake eyes: best jump, does not uses ammo
Grid iron: best punch
Rock n roll: can upgrade the gun the most.
Blizzard: most health and gun shots tru walls

I used to play this game all the time as a kid. Beat it a few times. I think its pretty underrated.
Try cyborg hunter on sega master system. It can fit in a video. And, tell AVGN to do an episode on Pitfall sequels. The first two were cool, but the following games were rental toilets. I had GI Joe toys in the 80's.
Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and GI Joe were my favorite cartoons as a little kid. I only saw He-Man at other people's houses. I always found it odd that Barnoness, and the early female Joes like Scarlett and Lady Jay were included in the NES games. This came out in 91, and the arcade game that came in 92, as did Alantis Factor for NES had Scarlett playable and Baroness as a boss. I used to think maybe the NES games were before those characters were introduced but they definitely weren't.

Been wanting you to play this again forever! I hope it gets on JMM because it's really good. I helped you on stream once, to find one of the secret vehicles. Know this one more than Mario 1-1. Childhood favorite. BTW Play Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon on N64. Predates OOT, rockin' soundtrack, funny as hell story (though I know you don't care much for story).

Think it skipped over the explosion cutscene after mission 1 but it's awesome on the nes
Sometimes it's just how long some of these older games are. Even if you're good, the fatigue sets in and you get your ass handed to you. I'm ok with people who play Battletoads with infinite lives. I managed to beat it but damn the punishment. Game on good people.
