@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks I stopped myself, I was going add 'Love you' as well. I'm still amazed and the understanding of abstract concepts like Love , Happy , Mad, etc. that they get and use in appropriate context. And amazed at how one can teach those abstracts? You can touch mousey and push a mousey button. It's the non-tangible things that are mind boggling. Though they do somehow get taught to humans as well, so not so odd I guess in the big picture.
It's so cute to see Todd so excited about your coming upstairs. ❤ And it was interesting to see him almost choose "mad" by mistake and then correct himself and definitely choose and push "happy." He knows the difference. 👍
Yes, he completely understands the words. Before he had mad, on his own, he started saying Happy No when he was mad. That shows he truly understands the concepts, and what he was feeling was the opposite of Happy. He then was able to combine words in a way I did not show him to express himself to me. This still floors me everything I think about it.
I love how Todd has. learned that leaving Ambush Toy running wears down the battery, so he let you know when he was finished. His increasing reasoning ability amazes me! 💗
It's so great that Todd appreciates his buttons so much that he never seems to communicate with you 'the old way' like most cats. If a regular cat wants belly rubs they have to ask to be picked up and would situate themselves in the right position in your arms and hope you get it. Not Todd; he just tells you exactly what he wants, when he wants it and so far the only "regular communication' I've seen you have to deal with, is when he's had enough! And any cat will tell you exactly the same way. (or worse, depending...)♥♥
Todd does still communicate with me that way all the time when we are not by his buttons. We have always understood each other, but the buttons are an enhancement. While I always know when he wants to play, I don't know with what toy. The same with affection, I know when he wants it but not if it's cuddles, belly rubs, pets, kisses, etc.
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks Well that all makes sense; but before Todd, I never considered cats thought about what they'd like to have happen. You toss the jingle ball ~ they look at you blankly but don't chase ~ you figure they don't want to play. I don't go testing all the toys at that point to see if it's something else they want. Never occurred to me...
Todd getting you to look at the ambush toy because he was not playing it is off the charts! He is presenting some care of some type that the toy was running when not needed. It's like he's expressing responsibility to a certain degree. Todd continues to amaze me! And his expression of being happy in the end was so sweet of him. He pulled out an "awww" from me. He's expressing appreciation! He's as sweet as he is intelligent! 😺
Todd likes to keep busy... and keep Dad busy, too. 😸I love when he asks for belly rubs. It such a sweet interaction between you two. It is evident how much Todd enjoys it... especially when he tells you he's happy afterward. So cool.
It's a good thing Todd looks at his buttons sometimes. Would have given the wrong message if he accidentally pressed Mad and had his ears curved to show he didn't mean to say that. Him saying Happy was a good way to show he enjoyed his morning routine in this video.
Yes, he would not have been happy about that. It would have been funny, though, to see him with his ears back and a scowl on his face mashing the happy button. 😄
Oh, sweetest Todd! The way he looks at you to see if you heard him the first time, and the repetition when he thinks you didn’t ❤! What a sweetheart he is 🐈⬛
I think what happened with the mad button was an oops, that’s why no noise. He probably was thinking “I’m happy, push happy button…..where’s that? (Almost push Mad button) oh wait…..no that’s mad, where’s happy? Oh there it is!” Lol so cute! ❤
I love seeing the love that you two share. He has another understanding between humans and cats. He's so smart that you can train him to use the toilette too, I bet.
Thank you for the kind words. Todd is very smart and may very well be able to learn to use the toilet. Todd has a medical condition that I monitor, and one of the side effects of it is that he has balance issues. You may see he appear to limp, walk unsteady, or even trip. Todd can not stand on his back legs. When he tries, he immediately falls over. I would not feel comfortable with him jumping on a toilet.
A "well-rounded video presentation." (Started Off with Todd "Happily Scritching" to welcome the fellow who was "Fashionably Late to the Party." {Cats being crepuscular, Todd has been up adding to his "To Do List" for quite some time.} For the "End Credits," we Find that Todd's Dad is no longer in the "K9 Kondo," when Todd touched "Mad," but did not activate.)
It must make you feel fabulous when your cat tells you he's happy!
Yes, that and the love you are the best

Todd is just full of love and kind thoughts and he adores you - it shows in every inch of his body language as well as the button talk ❤❤❤
He is, we have a very special bond.
I had a tuxedo kitty that would do a "happy dance" every day when I got home from work. miss her :(
Aww, that's so sweet
So cute when you pressed the “love you” button and he raised his face for a kiss. ❤️
Yes, he knows 😊

Wow, that’s truly amazing ❤
His body language just oozes "love u dad"
And oh my goodness that's a hilarious way of trying to wake someone up
It does and I feel it from him, too
Todd is a once in a lifetime fur baby.
He is 😊

Yes, he did catch me off guard with that one though, he will usually say all done
Loved Todd's excitement of you coming upstairs..had to get those excited scratches in on the scratcher.
He is always happy when Dad gets up.
A good day is a day with Todd.
Very true
How neat to get a glimpse of your and Todd's morning routine. I love that he told you he was happy!
He tells me that a lot with a few love you's thrown in

He’s such a cute cat, knows what he wants and not afraid to demand it. 😂🤣😂🥰🙋🏼♀️
😄
Todd is completely bonded to you! It is indeed the best way to wake up. 🥰🐾
I agree😊
Todd: "Oops, I almost pushed the Mad button when I am happy!" 😸
😊
Oh, sweetest Todd! The way he looks at you to see if you heard him the first time, and the repetition when he thinks you didn’t ❤! What a sweetheart he is 🐈⬛
He is the best and my buddy
Beautiful relationship 😊
Thank you 😊

Such a remarkable furry baby sweet smart and wants to communicate how he feels
Thank you 😊
YES, TODD IS A HAPPY CAT
😊
I’d be happy too if all I had to do was push buttons to get stuff I wanted 😄
😄
He wants his toy and demand it but a nice kitty 😊😊😊❤❤
Yes 😊
I wonder if he’s imagining a way to change the ambush toy.
That is certainly a possibility
What a lovely way to start the day 🥰
It really is!
My cats and I love watching you and Todd 🖤🤍🖤
I think that is so cool that another cat wants to watch

I think he's just asking for toys to see how many times Dad will get stuff for him. 😂
Yes gotta be the best way to wake up ❤
It is, a little bonding time in the morning makes my day.
Ohhh the zip in his step when he saw u was too precious 💕
I love your kitties so much!
Thank you, you are so kind! I'm glad you are here and enjoy them.
I wonder if Todd wanted to combine the ambush toy and the jingle ball?
I hope not, I can't do that one for him, lol
Good point! Jingle Ball poking in different directions? 🤔😊

Todd wants all the toys! 😂❤
todd always pushes mousey when mom is sleeping and cant have jingle ball
also try pressing belly rubs, then stare at todd and then lay on your back in the belly rubs area.. record for reaction
Yes, he will go for the morning snack. Lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Did Todd say yes with his head when you asked him if he wanted Ambush toy!😀🥰😳
I don't think so, I think he was watching me as I was starting to get up
He wants you.
Good work.
Thanks!
Wow! Changing from Mad to Happy!!!! You can charge more for show now!! 😂
Lol
Do Glamour and Paulie have their own buttons?❤
have offered and continue to offer it to them but they are not interested in them at all.
Todd is a very happy camper love it . those he go outside?
No, all the kitties are indoors only. We live on a VERY busy road, and there are a ton of hawks around.
My kitties are indoor cats too @@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks
I've seen him ask for ambush several times, but never play with it. I wonder if he likes the sound it makes?
Just wondering how old Todd is today ?
Todd is 6, he will be 7 in June
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks He’s still just a baby ❤️♥️🥰😻😘
