This free boat has not had a working engine for a long time. If we can get that running its the difference between the scrap heap and wind on her sails heading towards the Bahamas
the yanmar procedure for "waking up" a engine that has been stored is, run it full throttle under full load for 20 mins. this gets the piston rings unstuck from around the pistons. it will smoke like hell at first but will clear up and run great after 20 mins
Not much info as to type of engine, etc. At 1' 34"; are you still looking for a "spark". Looks a lot like the Yanmar 3 cyl engine I put in my last boat to replace that awful Atomic 4.
@@richardpaquette8352 Hi Richard. thank so much for watching. it’s actually a Kubota 3 cylinder engine. once I got it running i move on to the solar panels which I need up to get out of this expensive marina. I will certainly need to circle back and fix several issues with it. I may need to pick your brain when i get back to it. sounds like you know your stuff.👍
