Man, you should start your dive right above the target and come down at 80-90 degrees, not 40-60 as you do it. The purpose of that is to aim your bombs precisely with the gunsight.
@@BigfootsArmsRace No they also did 90° to even 40° dives depending on the conditions. The roll-over method was also used, but it was definetely not the only method of dive bombing.
Experience and read the story of a German Stuka Pilot. In the book "Stuka" written by Valentin Mikula, you read the biography of a Stuka pilot in World War II. Unfortunately I think it is only available in German.
Practice I assume. This isn't the ideal angle of attack for a stuka, an accuracy of 50 metres from the target was required of all stuka recruits. This is most reliably achieved by diving at angles close to 90 degrees directly above the target. To achieve accuracy from this maneuver there are 2 main ways, one using the contact altimetre and the other method is to apply dive brakes, roll upside down and then pitch up to bring yourself into a near 90 degree dive. In both maneuvers, use the bombing window in the footwell to see the target. When the target passes through the window and is no longer visible, count roughly 3 seconds in your head and then begin the dive. These methods result in reliable accuracy every time.
yeah they are good videos, just hoped i was as good, but i get Motion sickness, so i have to stick with war Thunder and fly planes from outside view, its the only way i wont get dizzy, i only play Tanks, but haven't played IL2 for while now.
Weeb gamer channel I suppose pilot should leave last but you can’t do that unless the gunner is an actual player. If he stayed a second longer he wouldn’t have been able to bail out because of the G forces. F in the chat nonetheless.
Completely different games lol. Warthunder is a simlite, it is not trying to be an accurate flight simulator, it balances realism and "arcade" gameplay for a faster and more action based experience. Il2 Sturmovik is a simulator, it's focused more on realism and providing a slower but more realistic experience. Different audiences.

That's wrong too; stuka pilots flew past their targets, rolled, and dove back at the target at a 70-85 degree angle

TIE fighter before spaceships were a thing
Can you do a bf109 highlight?
How can you aim like that? Usually what I have to do is flying over the target and then doing a half split-S coming right from above it.
