(kind of) Underrated Simpsons Moments

- I know I probably don't have to say this, but I don't own any of the content in this video. The Simpsons is the property of Matt Groening and the Fox Network.
On another note, where the fuck did y'all come from?
Dang. Thank you, guys!! I checked on this video a couple of days ago and it had like 2 comments. 😅 How're y'all doing?
Note: I don't think any of these clips are "truly" underrated.
Thanks for uploading this. Highly appreciate it !👍
To someone people they are lol
i find it's the subtle/unintended/"underrated" jokes that made the simpsons. especially back in the golden era
@@Kurt_Philanderer Agree 💯
Blurst of times underrated??? YOU STUPID UPLOADER!
"Sincerely, Little Girl" still tickles me to this day.

Or as this video has done it with it's poor edit "Sincerely, Little"
That is one of my favorite Simpsons moments.

I always thought it started with a child’s handwriting then suddenly changed to something that clearly came from a typewriter.
I love that scene.

"An Award statue! Oh it's a Grammy..."
That joke aged PHENOMENALLY.
And then add one with „don’t throw your thrash down here“
Brilliant
What happened?
I remember watching this episode & seeing later on, on the evening news how someone threw a Grammy or something of the like away in a public trash can in Philly. I thought it was very ironic & very very funny.
@@DonutMaster56 Shut up >_>

4:08 Lenny: "It's a secret."
Carl: *Stares Intensely at Lenny*
Homer: "Shut up."
A few seconds of comedy gold that the current writers couldn't possibly think to do with the modern Simpsons.
it's a secret
😠🥤
@@charizardoreo SHUT UP!
@@jacobmassey3897 That whole joke took over a full minute to set up in the original episode (which was mostly edited out, like the bit where Homer breaks his chair). Don't give me crap about how fast paced and joke dense the old Simpsons were when the example we're highlighting is so heavivly edited down by the video uploader.
@@Canaris4 it's the delivery that makes it funny and the fact that the build up to the joke could be crammed into such a short time span (which you are suggesting is actually a long time) just goes to prove my point.
The line that made me laugh out loud the most was when Springfield was flooding and Ned drives out towing his yacht with loads of animals on it. He turns to his family and says "Well, I've brought two of every animal. But only males, I don't want any hanky-panky."
Absolutely genius line.

I always loved how homer’s only knowledge of university life is based off of comedy movies, he naturally assumes the dean must be bitter and old. Even when this is clearly not the case, he still doesn’t accept it
The dean is bitter and old; that's why he apologized to Homer later in the episode.
@@djm5687 True. He confessed to being a "bit of an ogre" himself... crusty old dean...

"Hello, Deeeean? You're a stupid head." I've never seen that episode, but cripes that clip struck me as hilarious. The absurdity.
“Homer goes to college” I think is it’s name
Probably my favorite episode. There's so many terrific jokes. Like Homer yelling "NERD" at a random student wearing glasses. Or Homer burning his high school diploma and accidentally setting the house on fire while singing "I am so smart, I am so smart. S-M-R-T, I mean S-M-A-R-T."

And the bottle of champagne didn't shatter on the ground after being released from Homer's grip... 😅
the “shut up” bit was actually creative as hell
The average punching speed of a boxer is 20mph, and the fastest boxers can punch at 45mph; the fact Homer managed to tank a 100mph punch right to the face, even if we consider his extra-protective skull, is nothing short of impressive.
Cool! 😎
There's a reason he became a heavyweight boxer. Not even joking, his skull being so tough is a plot point of an episode.

4:28 is one of the few funniest moments where you knew Homer was the 8th Wonder Of The World ❤️
4:52 is probably my favourite simpsons joke of all time. it's amazing
4:28 something about old animation and the way voices sounded makes me miss old simpsons, it's so much more expressive
There was a lot more effort put into the actual animation back then. When they realized it wasn't necessary for laughs, they cut back and saved money, but that's one of the many reasons why the Simpsons was good at being more than just comedy.
They should have included that scene from Principal Skinner saying, "Am I really so out of touch, no no it's the kids that are out of touch".
0:41 "Enjoy your test!"

Homer: You've won this round dean.

"On closer inspection, these are loafers" 🤣
The Grammy joke was probably the most underrated moment of Season 5. Also "I already payed my taxes last year."
Always loved Homer having a mental breakdown over not being able to open a can of pudding
"Hello, Dean? You're a stupid head!" Now THAT is how you destroy someone's psyche. Good job, Homer.
Dean:🤨 Homer, is that you?
Homer:😱 AH!
4:20
"OH no my pudding is trapped forever! I can open my own pudding can I?!?? Shows what you know Marge!!""
The best are;
The dirtbag detective whining at Sideshow Bob,
Karl telling Lenny to shut up about the secret,
and the Mad Magazine bit
My favorite scene was always the one where Homer forgets to pick up Bart and ends up running out of the house naked. Lisa yells, "Dad, hide your shame!" and Flanders goes, "Hey Homey! I can see your doodle!" To which Homer replies, "Shut up, Flanders."
But "Hello Dean, you're a stupid-head!" and "Eh, she's always leaving the toilet seat up." are both close seconds.
Homer with that slow clap totally threw me; you never hear him get that ironic in his internal dialogues.
It wasn't ironic. That was one of the best lies he's ever come up with and his brain was impressed.
@Greglinski yes
I absolutely love Bart's reaction upon finding out that Alfred E. Neuman was real all along at 4:48. Plus the scene where Rainier Wolfcastle gets tricked into looking at his shoes (starting at 3:17), is a classic as well (considering that "A Star is Burns" is one of my favourite episodes of "The Simpsons", of all time!)
The commentary for that episode is also top tier with everyone cracking up at their guest stars jokes.
I love how you see Milhouse immediately crash into a building after being ejected from the plane, great comedy
1:10 Milhouse just vibrating his voice and saying "eh-eh-eh-eh-eh" just makes me laugh to death.
Take that, Mom! Take that, Dad! Send me to a psychiatrist, will you?
Take that Dr Sallywaxler!

One of the most underrated moments for me is from one of the relatively newer episodes, like maybe 10 seasons ago. Homer gets obsessed with completing jigsaw puzzles and is missing work, so Lenny and Carl visit his house to check up on him, but as soon as Homer sees Lenny he thinks his head is a puzzle piece that he's been looking for and attempts to actually put his head into the puzzle.
Agh, my eye! I’m not supposed to get jigs in it!
