- GET IT??? MOE-MENTS?? MOMENTS? ahh delectable. I went through the whole series recently and noted down my fave bits from one of my fave Simpsons characters, Moe Szyslak. So here they are, presented chronologically, of course. The video's in 4:3 because most of the content is in that aspect ratio, so I figured it only fair to best serve those clips. It was also fun to edit widescreen stuff into a square format (especially the super-widescreen of the movie). :)

Moe's dancing is so good he can fire three shots from a double barrelled shotgun.
The dance is cheat code to get 3 shots out of the shotgun

It annoys me that people think the drilling is only one gun, when it is a type of gun that’s been around since the 1800s
What they never show in video games is the fact that you have to switch modes (this also flips up the rear rifle sight)
My favorite drilling is a 1936 Krieghoff
Trumpf that’s 16ga/16ga/8x57 (rimmed 8mm Mauser) . It also has a rare .22 barrel insert, and a .22 magnum insert.
drilling derives from drei, which is German for 3, and it is basically a rifle with 3 barrels that compose of rifled and smooth bore.
The common configuration is 2 shotgun barrels and one rilfe barrel under, but you can also find 2 rifle and 1 shotgun, or even 3 shotgun or 3 rifle (though these may not qualify as drillings)
You can get an acceptable drilling for about 3,500, and a good condition one (like my kreighoffs) start at 5k
Drillings (at least pre war Simpson Suhl and Krieghoff) are very high quality, as they are all made by hand and are usually highly personalized (they used to engrave whatever hunting scene the customer wanted, or pick from a collection of scenes)
All of mine (minus the 6k 1970s Simpson )
Are all prewar and are vet bring backs.
My second favorite is a 1931 Kreighoff, that has a rare buckhorn style rear sight, French walnut stock, Cape buffalo horn trigger guard and buttplate, and an unusual 22 inch barrel (original length, which is unusual considering most have 28 inch barrels)

Moe has real anger management issues, and is a real sleazeball. But he's still my favourite Simpsons character.
Notice how Moe never even says his name but when he says he's lost the will to live she immediately calls him by his name.
That's the joke. It's meant to be confidential. But he has such a distinctive voice and Moe is exactly the type of person to call a helpline that Marge isn't phased or shocked to hear his voice in the other end of the phone.

There’s times where moe goes and reads to people. That always makes me really appreciate moe’s character. Even behind the mean looks, Is genuine man who’s gives back to the people. They should have gave him more happier ends in the show.

Missing my all-time favourite Moe-ment, when Homer takes the CBG to Moe's, "the friendliest place on the rum district" and the first thing they see when the door opens is Moe pointing a shotgun at one of the patrons: "Get out and take your Sacagawea dollars with you. I'll give you til the count of three *cocks shotgun* one. *boom*"
the yogi bear quote is definitely funnier when you see the mayor pull out a picnic basket after they leave

Moe is a good Person. As I saw the first Episodes of the Simpsons at the Age of Seven, I told my Mom that I like Moe the Barkeeper. At first seh was shocked and didn‘t understand why I could possibly like that horrible Man. She started to watch Episodes with me together and started to ask about several Characters and what their Roles were. I told her everything she wanted to know. She finally started to watch some Episodes I got from my Dad on VHS when I wasn‘t home. She complemented me for watching the Simpsons because it isn‘t only Funny, but good for learning some Important lessons in life and some of the Episodes are very heartwarming at times.
A very good Series indeed.

I know Barney it’s supposed to be Homer’s best friend, but I honestly think it’s Moe
Barney was always kind of a loner drunk, rather than portrayed his Homer's friend. Although basically he was Homer's friend as much as his work friends Lenny and carl, anyone who went to the bar was his friend, including Moe.
