@3:32 Homer declares "I'm king of the world" while flying through the air in 1990.... a full 7 years before Leonardo Dicaprio would rip him off in Titanic in 1997
The ambulance crashing still cracks me up after all these years. I remember watching it when it aired and my dad and brothers and I laughed all the way through the 'in living color' opening credits.
I think the joke was that he tried to relate oranges to making love to a woman, which immediately provoked everyone to say "get to the good part already."
that episode "bart gets an F" is one of the most heartfelt episodes of the simpsons that ever aired. i really felt myself tearing up when he said "no this time i really tried!" agh, so good :')
28:28 genuinely gets me because Bart really tried and still failed...but with showing Krabapall that he actually did study, she gives him the extra credit to pass

9:33 Man I really love the Simpsons for their intensity in animation. The lights look bright, the running looks intense and Lisa moving around looks adorable🥲
It’s true. I don’t care for meat but the husbands/BFs in my wife’s circle of friends really really make it part of their personality and I entertain it to keep the peace. They’re dudes who work in corporate America and equate meat as some manly activity that makes them manly. Most fun I have is with my own friends on 40k or in my Muay Thai gym.
28:22 this hits close to home for me. In high school, I was absolutely terrible at math. No matter how hard I studied it, none of it would click for me. Up til 6th grade I was in advanced placement for math but it all changed when I submitted some homework I struggled with and the matg teacher slammed it on my desk and said "dont you ever turn in garbage like this in again" in front of the whole class. Fast forward to high school math, and I'm retaking a test during lunch break. My teacher is grading pages in the corner, and I'm the only one there. I started crying. I felt like such a failure because I HAD studied, and none of it was sticking. Unfortunately, the teacher didn't notice (or maybe they did, and they ignored it). In the end, I got a C in the class, so I managed to claw my way out, but for a student who got nothing but As and B+s throughout school, this still didn't feel great. Now, as a teacher, I am always careful how I interact with my students. Your words can absolutely leave lasting impressions on those kids. I don't pamper them, but I will never ever harshly criticize them, and they always deserve a 2nd or more chance in my eyes.
The Simpsons has been bad for decades longer than it was good, which is really sad. When you tell people you like the Simpsons you've to clarify that you only like the old episodes because the episodes from the last 20 years are such unfunny garbage. 😬
I use to think if I cried to my teacher she would let me pass but I never cried in class but I did looked sad 😂😂😂 but my grade didn't changed for math class I think I was in middle school at the time 😅
My hats off to the men and women of the Springfield Emergency Services. Their hard work and training paid of in the successful rescue of Homer from Springfield Gorge. You can see between 4:04 and 4:08 the medic in that ambulance was able to transfer Homer to a rolling gurney and set an IV in less than a second. All this while possibly knowing that an impact between the ambulance and the tree was imminent. That's so courageous! You don't get care like that in Shelbyville.
We use to go to a little town named Perth Ontario to use the laundromat to wash our clothes and there was a pay toilet and I'd go to use it and was always told to just go under the door and the funny thing was it only cost ten cents to use lol But my Grandfather was really frugal and one time stop at a barn auction and they went to request a bid for lawn tractor and my Grandfather put up his and and said "a quarter" lmao
the ambulance driving straight into a tree never gets old
There's a reason it's Matt Groening's favourite gag.
I also love how it took them 0.5 seconds to hook up an IV
The kid holding his vomit when Homer goes over again; classic.
Love seeing the crashed ambulance again in the movie when they actually jump Springfield Gorge
OP missed homer falling down again and being hit by the gurney after lol
"Very well, Bart. I shall send you to heaven, before I send you to hell." That episode has to be one of the best Simpsons episodes ever aired.

Its WAY too Funny..!!!
Same! The lie detector scenes are some of the best ever. That and the Sideshow Bob vs the rakes.

Ned's long, silent pause of disbelief after all his progress was just reset, and then the resigned "Okay..." afterwards is just comedy gold.

"Just eat the damn oranges!" Why even bother going to a "class"? XD
Because then you don't get to see someone eat an orange!
