350Z Rear Subframe Bushing Collars Install [Z1 Motorsports]

  • In this video I install some aluminum collars around the rear subframe bushings. This upgrade stiffens the OEM rear subframe bushings to give the vehicle a more solid/stiffer feel. It was much easier than doing a complete replacement of the OEM bushings to completely solid which would require removal of the rear subframe rather than just dropping it down just enough to fit the collars in like I show in this video. I hope this was helpful to anyone doing this install. Please Like and Subscribe. Thanks for watching.

I know this vid a year old but I have a question hopefully you can get back to me. I installed the Z1 Bushings and collars with the brace. The car does feel more more tight in the back feels nice but now I hear a whine noise the faster I go the louder the whine gets. Also everytime I hit the accelerator I hear a thump noise. I only hear one time efter I give it gas. Its a very low thumping noise. Did you get any of that noise?

i would double check all of your bolts, have the rear wheels up in the air and dont set the jacks on your subframe. put your jack under the subframe or wiggle it once its in the air to see if theres any play or movement. i would check your u-joints in your driveshaft as well
