  • I think this might be the most asked question on the internet regarding 350Z and drifting. Is it better to buy a $3k DE Z and mod it, or buy an $8k HR Z and leave it alone? Well Max and I put it to the test in this video. At the end you should have all the info you need to answer that! Let me know what you would rather buy?
Huge thanks to Tyler Shultz @dadshurt for editing this for me. He did an awesome job! Also thank you to @andrew_flysabunch for providing the drone clips in the intro!
Remember we are prepping for DRIFTWEEK2 and things are hectic. Tons of new merch in the webstore go head over and show some support! www.fieldingshredder.com/prod...

Next time maybe put a couple more cameras externally so we can see what the cars are doing in drift. It makes the video more visually interesting.

I worked with them both and ended with a Nismo Z 350z. HR engine upgrades from DE are massive!!! and why is better start with them.

So I just finished watching Hyperdrive and I was rooting for you to win. I feel like you would’ve with the way you drive. You just needed to slow down every once in a while, but wheres the fun in that 🤣 (just messing around with you but seriously I was rooting for you lol)

Awesome comparison! I’ve been debating building my hr to drift better or get a cheap de and build it. After my last event and this video I’m starting to lean more towards building my hr. Keep up the great content 👍🤘

I have a GKtech angle kit and mine binds at full lock but also has very little self steer I have to be on top of the wheel on transition. I want the GKtech lower arms to add camber and caster to fix that

Caster is huge when it comes to self steer! Throw the wheels as far forward as you can with caster and it’ll self steer better! I have the full gktech kit and it self steers good:)

I m about to improve my 350z de for drifting. Why did you put the bcracing ds series instead of the br series ? What are the advantages of ds over br please?🙂

If it has to be street legal, does that mean currently tagged and insured? Because you could save a fortune buying a salvage title car. If your state allows individuals to get them inspected, you could get it back to tagged and insured and still save a bunch of money even after repairs. Most of the ones that are salvage from front end impacts are parts you're not going to have on a race car anyway or replaced with body kits and aftermarket parts (hoods, fenders, bumpers, suspension, airbags).

For the Texas Street Legal series it doesn't actually say "tagged and insured" lonestardrift.com/txsl-rule-book/
But that'd be up to Aaron Losey to confirm.

It doesn't have to be tagged or insured. Some of the cars in txsl are not actually street legal, it's just the name of the series. The rules are on the lonestar page which is a mostly stock engine and most interior. Pro am series is for gutted race cars.
