Interesting. I'm coining it here: it's no longer called One Shot Colour (OSC) but now, DuoSC (DSC).
    Looking forward to testing these!

    Great tutorial. Thanks.
I hope Sharpstar will soon make these filters available on 1.25” size.

Excellent tutorial for the new Askar D1 and D2 Dual-band filters! Thank you for posting it.
We are always striving to get the highest SNR from especially the G & B (Oiii) channels from dual-band filters. Do you think PixInsights 'Image Integration' is the best way to achieve that? I mean we have usually been completely discarding the B channel because of noise issues and a lower SNR and only using the G channel. I am surprised at the strong amount of blue in the D2 (Sii + Oiii) filter compared to the D1 so maybe there is a cleaner B channel - that is super useful!
Any comment? Also I hope these will perform well on my f1.9 Hyper Star scopes as well or should we wait for 'High Speed' versions?
    Keep up the great products

Would like to see your workflow for adding the stars to that image, learnt lots and can’t wait until the duo filters arrive. Can you please reply on how you would add stars. Ie Pixinsight-+ stars but anything you might add or do to the star image before adding to final tiff image.
    Please
    Ps Great vid.

I'll be trying it this way (hoping this helps) ...
PREPARE FOR STAR REINTEGRATION (WBPP autocrop, DynamicAlign, ImageSolver)
Before following the video's workflow 1. Enable Autocrop in WBPP. 2. Dynamic Align D1 & D2 images. Choosing D1 as image 1 should mean that the WBPP platesolve solution isn't disturbed (if I'm wrong, you'll need to run ImageSolver script, or SPCC wont work later). Dynamic Align might not be strictly necessary but I dont know how PI combines if the originals aren't already matched (cropped scaled and aligned).
PREPARE THE STARS (Clone D1, SPCC, StarXterminator, StarStretch)
I think the easiest way to do stars is just to make a D1 clone, and apply SPCC to colour correct the stars from catalog. You can try SPCC built in filters and find one that gives a reasonable colour correction for the stars. Its also possible to add a custom filter to SPCC but I've never done that. Then use StarXterminator and throw away the starless clone. Stretch the stars (eg with SetiAstro Starstretch). Starstretch usually does a great job with default settings and gives a pleasing colourboost. Personally, I'd call that ready and do nothing more to it.
PROCESS THE NEBULA (Follow this tutorial 🙂)
      REINTEGRATE THE STARS (Pixelmath)
Reintegrate using pixelmath expression "combine (starless, stars, op_screen())". This assumes you have renamed the final image from the tutorial to "starless", and have called your stretched star image "stars".

Good video apart from not too clear when allocating the channels to SHO difficult to watch that part

I have just received Askar D1 and D2 Filters. Motivated by your video. However, I am trying to follow the steps in your video, but your mouse moves so rapidly, that at times playback multiple time to figure out what you clocked on where. With you would have kept the mouse on what you clicking on. At around 8:58 you say "save the images just in case", but I can't figure out how did you say the 3 images, I could see your move move all over the screen ? Exactly what are you clicking on to save all 3 images ? At 9:17 you select ArcsinhStretch, after this I just could not follow what you doing as the mouse is going allover so rapidly, cannot make out what is being selected. Tried replaying 9:17 onwards repeatedly but now able to grab what is being done. At 14:29 are you clicking on the Execute Square at the bottom of LRGBCombination and then also on apply Globally, arrow went to both so cannot make our what was clicked on, both or only Globally.
