    Great vids for someone like me who is learning PixInsight, so thanks! I wish though that you would show how you process the colors. Believe me you will not bore us with the details as you say in your vids. I would love a vid on this please..thanks!!

    I had been using key words with WBPP for processing the different filters and was not really aware of the custom option which is very nice. If you have not investigate the DBXtract script you should as it simplifies processing after WBPP as it does away with all the need for pixel math. It takes the two output images from WBPP and produces 4 image, the HA, SA, OIII, and a combined SHO. Quick and easy. I usually then just take the SHO image and run the narrowbandnormalization process and proceed from there. I follow basically a very similar process that you use for stars. Very good video.

    Apologies for my ignorance, but i want to know. The two file sets you uploaded onto WBPP was from a OSC camera just using a narrow band filter such as the ZWO Duo Band? This is new to me so im trying to figure how you got two sets of data from a OSC 😅

    Good morning, I used your video to give it a go myself 😊 but in my D2 data I have almost no signal in the R channel but in my R channel off my L-enhance I have great data. Need to say still using my DSLR. Will I need much more D2 data for the R to be showing? Cause B and G channels are great.

      To keep in mind that Sii is a very weak signal and some objects like super nova remnants will have little to no Sii what so ever. To do a test try it on the cygnus wall in ngc 7000. That is a very rich area of Sii to make sure you have a good filter

    Great video! Do you have to do any star alignment before processing or does WBPP take care of that for the two sets of data.

      If you stack both at the same time you will not need to star align. It will do it for you! :D

      @@OuttenAstrophotography Thank you for confirming. If I have dark flats instead of bias frames as my camera has ampglow, do I need them per filter? Thanks in advance!

    Loved the video, just some small comments and questions. WBPP was awesome to see how to run 2 different filters at once. For extracting your SII OIII Ha couldn’t you use the script DBxtract? Or isn’t the quality as good? And for DBE there is a script from SETI Astro that has a ADBE that works great. I also have the Bill Blanched stretch things but I have also one for rescreen the stars so I don’t need PixelMath

      I havent dived into the seti astro stuff as of yet. Should dabble into that to see how it performs

    I shoot with a ZWO2600MC and rokinon 135. I'm thinking of adding a filter wheel to the mix to accommodate the duo filters. How do you connect your 2600, your filter wheel, and your rokinon to get the correct back focus? (plus a filter)

    • @OuttenAstrophotography
      @OuttenAstrophotography  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So here is what you need. This is the EFW adapter for a 2 inch filter wheel. bit.ly/3WvBF7A
      And I just use a 5 slot filter wheel for my l-quad, L-Ultimate, askar d2, askar c1 & 2
      bit.ly/4asq6TS
      As far as the back focus, the zwo eaf lens adapter threads right into the filter wheel. You will take the tilt plate off the 2600MC and bolt it directly into EFW and you got the right backfocus! If you need a photo reference on how I have mine setup I can glady get that for you. Hope this helps!

      @@OuttenAstrophotographythat makes sense. So I don’t just screw the 2600 to the EFW? Here’s a second question: would you be willing to share the two stacked images so I could start practicing in Pixinsight?
