Really misleading video.. 0:22 The back focus is wrong, it is way too large (71.5mm) it needs to be 55mm ... if you mount the camera like this. he is seriously out of balance. he leans back on the camera with full weight..when putting a vixen rail on it.. you cant rotate camera cause of focuser ...i dont know who build this but he or she dont know Sh,t about camera gear .. jeeeez

I ordered one as soon as it was announced. This is precisely the type of telescope I was waiting for both in terms of performance and price. My sample should arrive some time next week, I cannot wait! I also heard rumors that there is an 85mm version of this telescope coming out as well. I am also looking forward to that one! If the price and optical performance are good, I am definitely buying it as well.

How much equipment weight can the SQA55 focuser support? Would an ASI2600MM + filter wheel + Falcon rotator work without possible focuser play?

What an interesting concept: a telescope with a variable aperture? Use it as a telescope by night and a photography lens by day. The optics for both are a bit different (flat field needed for astro vs. more forgiving at the edges for daytime photography) and what about chromatic aberrations and vignetting - imaging looks really nice, I must say. Looking forward to seeing someone test this in the field. Really applaud Sharpstar for thinking out of the box.

How long is the length when in focus with a zwo camera attached?

I have just received Askar D1 and D2 Filters. Motivated by your video. However, I am trying to follow the steps in your video, but your mouse moves so rapidly, that at times playback multiple time to figure out what you clocked on where. With you would have kept the mouse on what you clicking on. At around 8:58 you say "save the images just in case", but I can't figure out how did you say the 3 images, I could see your move move all over the screen ? Exactly what are you clicking on to save all 3 images ? At 9:17 you select ArcsinhStretch, after this I just could not follow what you doing as the mouse is going allover so rapidly, cannot make out what is being selected. Tried replaying 9:17 onwards repeatedly but now able to grab what is being done. At 14:29 are you clicking on the Execute Square at the bottom of LRGBCombination and then also on apply Globally, arrow went to both so cannot make our what was clicked on, both or only Globally.

This video is out of date. The riser is no longer plastic but machined aluminum and is secured by 3 machine bolts. It is solid with no flexure. I'm very happy with mine.

This is really good video. I just struggled with Askar 120 APO but thanks to the back focus adjuster my issues were solved. Thank you for making good products and looking after the customers.

Is the EAF bracket the one that comes with the EAF or is it a separate purchase item?

I would feel better about your scopes if you say what glass you are using and provide more detailed information on the tested optical quality. I have seen posts that some scopes have been returned due to optical issues too. I am concerned about quality control.

The M48 thread can be replaced with M54 thread instead, for ASI2600MC Duo?
