Hold on! Tina is actually a super good defense unit. Stealing foes bonuses as soon as her turn starts and granting them to nearby allies is super op. I lost count of the ammount of succesfull defenses I had thanks to her stealing +1 movement from foes and catching them off guard as they end turn. Other notable example is stealing the AoE protection that Gotoh gives thus turning the tank vulnerable again. Unlike Nergal, she doesnt need to enter combat to trigger the stealing of bonuses, she just steals from whoever foe has the most bonuses regarldles of distance or anything.
The best part about Att!Micaiah banner is that if you summon her and Edward, you can also fodder BoL4 to her + an Emblem Ring and have the antichrist in your teams. Who would care about Crux when you can pretty much use her to buff E!Ike even more? She already inflicts -80000 Atk/Res without it anyway.

Most of the Thracia banner was bad but as someone who uses Tina constantly I can say she is great. She has a different usage from Nergal since she steals buffs at the start of the turn while his steal requires a unit to attack. It can be very nice to not have to deal with those buffs on your first combat that turn and I personally run her on both of my AR-D teams. I'm glad not many people have her though because that means nobody plans for her, and the amount of Winter Dimitri's that had their lives claimed by her was just fun to watch.

Let’s be real, Thracia’s banner best selling point was Lara having rockslide dance 2 in the normal pool. I’m quite happy that the Awakening kids banner got ranked high. Duo Robin is so ridiculous for support and is good on offense as well. So happy that I free summoned them. Attuned Micaiah is just a ridiculous unit. Breath of Life 4 being on a normal pool unit is wild when IS likes to keep the premium skills to seasonal and LME banners.
That’s exactly why I don’t pull on legendary/mythic and seasonal banners. It’s a total waste to pull on it, especially for a f2p like me. My tip is to ONLY summon on SPARKABLE banners. That’s how I use and save my orbs wisely. I have 755 orbs rn
I think, even with a full 6+ months in the game, the Christmas banner still is decent in today's standards. The only one I think isn't useful in the meta is Dimitri, but only because of the conditions needed to get his bonuses. Byleth is still a top 2 save (He's still the best for pure tanking imo, with better scowl, NCD, and his duo button), Edelgard's Edelgard (a bunch of actions), and at least Yunaka has a niece of a Canto Max Ranged Cav (even if Canto Control is pretty common). Overall, the impacts of the Christmas banner is still prevalent, whether that be the units themselves, or the precident that they set for future units. Yeah, you make a good point. If I ranked banners purely on “impact” then this is easily at the top, I couldn’t agree more when you mention the precedent it set for other units. Yeah I think following Breath of Life 4, W!Byleth beats Myrrh because he’s got NCD which makes him the best V!Lyon counter while now not having to worry about pre-combat damage.
@@samkeiser9776 he was certainly good at surviving Lyon. The issue is that all the pre-combat damage would leave him vulnerable against other ranged units before BoL 4 fixed that.
I liked the use of the TWEWY reduction start for the intro transition. Also, I remember how someone said that Mythic Loki was a must-have unit, but it seems like the only impact she had in relevance outside of being a Mythic was her "smoke."

tina is absurd on AR D... i've seen multiple people use her on defense as well (both on my friends list and encountering in AR O) as using her myself. every time i build tina defenses i have -0 lift even in vault. she's incredible on cav lines when she can steal the incredibly common +1 mov buff (from units like attuned ivy and bridal sharena) and then suddenly i have 4 mov ranged cavs with pre charged aoe on the first enemy phase. i HARD disagree with the assessment of nergal being better than tina in every possible way considering he can be used on defense in the same way (requiring units to enter combat before stealing the buffs). since my main use case for tina is the 4 mov ranged cavs at that point it would just be better to use tea sigurd to ensure i get the +1 mov buff cause again you need to enter combat to steal buffs with nergal. and that's not to say the other buffs tina can steal aren't worth anything i just really value mov+1, she also steals stuff like visible nfu and charges status (and charge) and incited and vantage and stuff like that. i ran an undefeated defense last chaos season consisting of canto control tina, summer mia (flared strike + fatal smoke 4), fallen ursula, hardy bearing sanaki, attuned micaiah (who lets sanaki quad with crux), and legendary ninian (flared strike + alarm for canto 1). it was real nasty work. in certain scenarios nergal is absolutely better than tina but it's disingenuous to say he's better in /every way/

Okay, finished watching the video. I can tell you, I actually won an SDS battle against E!Ike with BoL4, E!Marth, A!Micaiah, W!Dimitri, and A!Ced. My book 6 and prior team only won by technicality. Those members being Captain Canas with Charge/Canto and super buffed with Hardy Bearing, and Engaged Marth. Groom Roy Yune (Guidance support general debuffs) Ash (Edit: Had Miracle, whom survived Emblem Ike to fend him off for a turn instead of killing her because Great Aether doesn't pierce Miracle) And Nils for Even Pulse Tie. No, these units weren't meant to take on the opposing team. Even when I pushed Groom Roy's Duo button, Canas couldn't kill E!Marth or E!Ike. However, the match itself had the absolute middling plays by the opponent and I somehow killed E!Marth with Ash when he was at 1 hp. With E!Ike giving BoL4 support. But because I targeted E!Marth with Canas' AoE, E!Ike still got hit and was reduced to 1 hp and couldn't heal it off. So Groom Roy somehow, against all odds, killed E!Ike, then blocked W!Dimitri from getting through. Because Canas had Hardy Bearing, he took out W!Dimitri who couldn't use Vantage, got the AoE on him and A!Ced. Down to just Canas vs A!Ced and A!Micaiah. I went first turn 4, and killed A!Ced. By some miracle, Canas survived A!Micaiah's attack (no way he was going to survive 2 attacks, and he died if he initiated combat with the AoE), and I went first on turn 5. Note that he did not chase me with FT Echo, just stayed in place. I was gonna settle for a draw, so I Charged out of the capture area, and I was up 2 points. Then after the final turn ended, it awarded me the win. I screamed internally when I saw I won. Moral of the story, fehvorites are forever, meta is temporary. I was NOT slated to win, but somehow I played perfectly. I was never punished for my team consisting mostly of a downright literal ragtag group of irrelevent units, that don't kill anything, that die to literally everything, and they just keep getting worse and worse as the meta progresses, and most importantly, Canas is just not that good. I felt like I was climbing a mountain that I definitely couldn't climb. The good news is AoE still works if the unit itself (E!Ike) isn't pushed into combat, but hit by said AoE. Replay: xTxWRc7ccw
I feel like with Mythic and Legendary banners the color share pools should be considered when judging the banner. Legendary Male Corrin is not as good as Emblem Ike but I would argue that his banner is better because even though he is a much worse unit you can spark Emblem Ike in that banner too and Ike has a much better colorshare so there would be more value summoning on that banner for Ike than on his original banner.
That’s something I considered taking into account this time around and back when I did the Book 7 banner tier list, but I chose against it because I’m using banners as a metric to talk about the game more than anything. If I were looking at a list on solely value then it would look like a totally different list. Also only FEH pass players can spark so I don’t like taking that into account. I see the value in what you’re saying though, maybe for a video in the future!
honestly for the 2 tina fans she aged like fine wine and continue to get good, feh seems to really like makin field buffs for everything and her and nergal being the only options to steal them she's still a good unit
@@ENEMii-IRL It was the PAL code (Permissive Action Link code) technically, not the presidents code with the nuclear football. Best way to put it, this was the code in each ICBM silo (at every silo for 20 years) to arm the warhead. The launch codes were swapped far more often. The concept was the launch codes were highly secret (and never get declassified) to prevent bad parties trying to trick people into launching. But the politicians wanted codes to stop bad parties from stealing the warhead and using it. Think like an IPhone, too many bad guesses will kill the phone or in this case warhead. However the military was freaked that enemies could hack this and stop the nukes from ever working, thus killing the deterrent from attacking. So they basically didn't do that, said they did, and instead just gave the nukes the dumbest code ever to arm it. With their line of thinking it's such a stupid code a panicking airman in a silo when WW3 is starting can't forget the code and misenter it. Supposedly they now do have codes to kill the warhead, and instead one one universal password everyone knows at all sites. They have 1 code per silo and it gets changed with each new crew deployment (something like 2-4 years) at the maximum. Though they could swap it out every month if they wanted to instead, or after a guy quits or gets dishonorably discharged. Plus they drill with it regularly so they won't forget it. Or so they tell us. Also the US does lend their nukes to allies in NATO who request them, such as Germany, these countries are given warheads as a deterrent against Russia but supposedly don't know the PAL code to arm it as only America does. That way America can stop them from first striking Russia.
I’m assuming it’s because you still need a good amount of speed alongside that defense to really make consistent use of it, which shrinks down the amount of viable candidates for it.

i think people sleep too much on fallen maria, she's an amazing user of breath of life 4 as a support keeping her miracle effect for when trully necessary, sure fatal smoke 4 exist or whatever, i've seen maybe 2 units with it at most, we only have 2 units with feud built in that nobody use and colorless feud c skill is irelevent. There's so many great options for C skills that fatal smoke doesn't see the light of day as much as it should, ploys are everywhere and you still see a bunch of brave robins, so i won't let the "fear" of fatal smoke's existence change anything about how maria is broken, you know what's scarier than emblem ike? emblem ike with breath of life and miracle, freeing his c skill so he can run something else like fatal smoke to counter other emblem ikes
Marth is my favorite character in the entire franchise. Emblem Marth was a gift from God and the devs during an extremely rough patch in my life, so I'm glad to see him in a high tier. However, I literally run Ike's ring on Emblem Marth, which goes to show how strong Emblem Ike is 😭
I think W;Edelgard is definitely still capable, She’s kinda geared for big single hit damage so she can actually have a good matchup vs ike. Like I’d say her kit is better than Shearna’s. Shearna just has a move type that makes more sense.
I don't regret summoning on that Thracia banner. I just wanted to build my favorite blue tomes and they got Fatal Smoke 4 along the way because I gave it to him. But yeah, IS using R!Rein as cannon fodder for other banners is a low blow to Thracia's banner..

Winter Edel completely warps the AR-D meta around her despite being a 6 month old unit so to me her banner would be an S from her carrying it alone. As an AR-D focused player, I hate her way more than the other top tier cancer units like Lyon or Ike

I'm glad I hard pulled on all the S+ banners, but kinda wish I had sparked Nergal instead of Ursula. I just don't want to use Nergal because the character is kinda ugly haha
I did exactly the same, I sparked for Ursula instead of Nergal. Also that's such a funny reason to not use him but it's lowkey valid LMAO I mean you gotta look at the guy if you wanna use him!
Look at his eye though, and that smile, so 🥵 Though don’t feel too bad, Ursula is crazy strong herself. She’s great against emblem Ike, and her desperation support is very strong.
The thing about Micaiah is that while I’d agree that she’s really really *really* good, is that she’s not as close to immortality as Ike is. There’s more ways to kill her and because of that she’s not as relevant as Ike who comes close to winning to everything that isn’t precision built to kill him. Micaiah has the Duo Sanaki problem where like, null penalties and spacing actually makes her pretty tolerable (which ike has) While Ike needs hardy bearing and/or scowl, and you also need the kill power to actually get rid of him.
While there might be a few takes here and there I disagree with altogether and a few others I'd argue with. Overall you are on point with this one, the quality of the video is nice as always. AND THANK YOU for not making me feel like shit for deciding to roll on the Micaiah banner right before summer. I was beating myself up about it a lot, but I am glad someone could prove to me how busted she truly is.
Severa getting done so dirty killed me. She was terrible on release, Ike Engage made her somewhat passable briefly and now she dies to absolutely everything now whilst barely killing anything. I've spent the last 6 months lavishing her with orbs to try to support her and absolutely nothing works.
No lie though I think there's no better way to spend your orbs these past 6 months. The meta moves too fast to spend them so frequently, I give nice stuff to my Yuri even though I know he'll still be bad lmao. I bet your Severa is still awesome!
I don’t know why you think Hortensia is so high value when I’d argue even her value as a support has been crept by Micaiah and Micaiah also has good combat. Which Horty just doesn’t.
I'm honestly a bit surprised by your take on R!Reinhardt I agree that he is not in the upper echelons of units but hes definitely has a place in the meta if invested having only aged better over time rather then worse. After the Rearmed rework he got Arcane Euphoria as his preferred weapon, and now with the introduction of Far Trace Echo he can easily run either Occultist Strike(stack four sources of bonus damage) or Desperation 4 aside from that the hit ranged cavs took after BoL4 doesn't affect him and he now has a far better A-slot then the vast majority of cavs who lost Flared Sparrow since its sorta just a side-grade now to Remote Sparrow, now whether that even means anything thats another thing... Great video btw love the content, I'm all for the destruction A!Micaiah is laying down I've been waiting for her to get a meta unit for so long.
You make good points on Reinhardt. I still don’t like that he doesn’t have DR piercing (and even if he did, what else does he do beyond being a nuke) but you’re right, he has a lot of unique things about him that make him age better than most cavs. I just don’t see him being that crazy even if he does end up being a bit better but it’s possible I underrated him!
@@ENEMii-IRL I still think you're spot on with your analysis overall though and even me saying all this on Reinhardt, A!Ivy just sorta does everything better with being a far better fodder factory, having a well aging A-skill, able to run the Occult/Desperation 4 + Far Trace combo and having flier skills like Deadly Miasma/or C-slot support compared to Reinhardt just being a selfish ranged cav. Man they really did send that Thracia banner out to die... Oh and small note on Lumera she doesn't need to enter combat to apply stone vein like L!M!Corrin with water vein so she does the High Dragon Wall anti-warp way better than he does, Rearmed especially for the fodder factory.

I wasn’t judging banners based on colour share because that’s an external metric to judge banners and the list was really meant to look at the state of the game overall, but it’s a fact that Corrin’s banner had amazing sharing LOL
Imo I think Tina is better than loki, Loki’s most notable thing in comparison to Tina is gravity, but Tina actually punishes bonus stacking, and is way more unpredictable. And is way harder to dodge, Loki can be dodged by not using 3 bonuses or by literally avoiding her area, and countering bonuses is ultimately a counter to effects not everyone uses. Tina is just a much more significant counter imo.
Ike can’t really kill units that don’t counter, so Attuned Micaiah (and any ranged unit with decent bulk) is actually really good at tanking him, which is really really funny.
on the one hand I'm glad ike finally has a great, meta defining alt. on the other Emblem Ike is the single worst unit IS has ever created. He was already utterly infuriating to take down and then they added BOL4 to make a truly evil unit. Like I'm glad that tanks are getting buffed since they sucked last book, but he's just was to annoying. Also can we please buff the armored units IS they still suck
So how is it that my Beast team is unbeaten? Are they actually that bad? I have been having a lot of success with them even if it is on the casual side. My go to team isn’t beast though. I preferably use a team consisting of Dual Lyon, Exalts Right Hand Robin, any flying dancer, and this one grey bow unit that prevents follow up attacks. I cannot spell his name. The first king of the steam punk nation. I have never been good with names. It is essentially an assassination team that kills off threats before they become a real problem. Take out the team members that can be dangerous and threaten the team first. Using AOE damage in advance to weaken them on top of preventing counter attacks and using the Lyon to skip their actions. I use the Robin to create hard to remove obstacles that enable a more defensive playstyle. I also use a bunch of buffs and debuff skills to create a situation where my opponents are in deep trouble. It is an extremely toxic team.
I think you underestimate Young Lissa. unlike the other Infantry Melee units, she is basically on par with E!Ike in terms of power and defense although Ike is stil better having the edge because of NCD and Great Aether although she isn't quite as good as he is, she does allow for people to basically run a second slightly weaker Ike in SDS also it just further shows how good the Child banner is that the "worst" unit on it is a weaker E!Ike

When I started playing late in 2023, I relied on game8 for guidance & summoned on rearmed reinhart. Yeah, ugh. It wasn't until I got into fehTubers that I realized game8 doesn't have a pulse on playing competitively. Good list! I disagree on Easter, hardly ever see chloe or mirablis (& when I do, they're easily accounted for). Id put Easter above corrin lol.
Ya like FEHtubers also get stuff wrong but game8 is NOT the place to be sourcing competitive info lol. Really only you can be the best judge w your goals and resources. Or better yet, just always treat your faves lol
Pretty good placements as always, putting LCamilla in D tier is pretty wild but your logic is sound, her gimmicks and fodder ain't aging well, a solid unit but almost exclusively for arena. It's very telling how overtuned the winter 3H banner was seeing that it's still looming on new seasonal banners such as the bridal banner, I would argue if this list was released a month ago it would be a solid A tier for sure... or maybe is still is? I do think the 3H winter banner is still a good investment because unlike most book 8 banners it's well balanced in all the main roles of playing the game: WEdelgard as the galeforcer, WByleth as your saviour and omnitank if you want to, WYunaka as your hit and run nuke, and the weirdest of one but still the best one on this role WDimitri as your vantage omnitank, you can drop these units into your AR-O teams even to this day and they will make an impact, having no demote 4 star filler unit is also a positive since most of those are only serviceable at best. The fodder is a bit mid by today's meta standards, but it so happens that the worse aging units there: Yunaka and Dimitri(he's pretty good antimeta AR pick tho) happen to have amazing fodder too, an outstanding banner all around with no real downside, unlike most banners that have demote deadweight or just fodder only units that will age once said fodder gets powercrept or gets more widely distributed.
Funny enough, I had the winter banner in A at first and it was one of those banners that it was hard to justify putting high but personally I liked it a lot. You make great points on having no four star demote, combined with the fact that it was speakable I think it’s still an amazing banner overall. Purely from a value perspective I think it’s really hard to beat. I went back and forth on many banners for a long time hahaha
@@ENEMii-IRL Oh I knew you would understand, cost efficiency is A tier for sure, I mean sure there's HIgrene or DRobin as better range nukes, there's DSharena as the better galeforcer initiator, there's VMyrr as the better far saviour... that's nice and all, but you have to splurge so many orbs here and there just for a marginal upgrade? Isn't worth it imo, the fact that you get everything you "need" to play the game in today's meta(even if struggling a little bit) in one single banner elevates it over other banners that just excel in one thing or two while the rest of the banner is lackluster, but that's just my f2p brain talking and it barely matters with so many whales in this game hahaha... I’m glad Claude won over Camilla, I’ll say it. Her support will continue to age decently, but breath of life will soon be everywhere in this Omni tank meta. Is she better than Claude? Yeah probably, but he’s a favorite of mine. Now I feel like the gap between the two isn’t as huge as before. Also thracia last is sad. I will still continue to pull on it whenever it rolls around for Reinhardt alone. I’d personally put Loki banner last, she just doesn’t seem all that useful to me at all and her aside it was one of the worst legendary line ups

The ONLY reason FEH is still downloaded on my phone at this very moment is because I free summoned a copy of Breath of Life 4, the unit. Haven’t built, foddered or done anything wiht the best skill in the game no question, it’ll just sit there as a trophy, since if you own a copy of said skill, you’ve effectively beaten Fire Emblem Heroes to completion.
Surprised you put legendary M!Corrin banner so low. Thought it would be an S banner. It felt like you was just rating corrin himself rather than just the banner overall. It having both emblem units that color share with each other blows almost every other banner out the water. I agree with your takes with corrin though that his support isn't actually good in practice and he just there for high dragon wall 4.
You’re exactly right, I wasn’t factoring in things like colour share. If I started including that then I’d also have to include other external criteria (spark or no spark? Etc) and it moves the discussion away from the actual meta itself when ranking banners. I’d love to make a purely value centric list one day though!
respectable tier list, however, judging by your criteria, doesnt that mean that BOL4 can easily fall off as well, just like pre combat damage and precombat damage units. IS will eventually make a tier 5 fatal smoke drive skill or unit that completely invalidates any sort of healing full stop. and it screams that its coming just right around the corner pretty soon. seeing as there are signs everywhere in the meta that fatal smoke 4 is going to get an upgrade. that will also bring back pre combat damage nukes again, and put the power back to player phase teams. so everything is pretty wishy washy atp. evidently time and time again, the only true winners are the ones who pulls strictly for favorites.

@@ENEMii-IRL yeah for sure, youre right that we cant really get ahead of ourselves because that wont get you anywhere with your progress with the game. even if fatal smoke 5 comes something new will counter it too making BOL4 top tier again so its just an endless loop. it really is just better to enjoy whatever the meta is cooking atm and go with the flow but its still good to have a little bit of foresight for better resource management at the very least. more importantly, i guess it is better to see feh as a fan-service hobby game made for fire emblem fans to have some access to their fave characters beyond the mainline FE games more than anything else.
I think it's just so funny how Micaiah and Emblem Ike are complete polar opposites to the rest of the heroes because, in fact, they WILL kill everything, they WON'T die to anything, and that's why I fucking hate Path of Radiance (joke).
Warp bubble that she and her support partner get. Warping is so prevalent (L elincia, both guidances, charge, etc) that being able to shut it down massively limits the opponents movement. That alone makes her arguably better. Although byleth is still better at purely tanking, so both could be argued to be the best far save.

I completely disagree with Camilla´s take, even tho her pre.combat dmg is not that strong anymore, the fact that she can give DR halving just by existing with no condition is still great I´m not saying she is S, but definitively A or B, Like Corrin is better tank, but his support is meh since he has to attack to place the water terrain so he is super anti-synergetic and absolutely no one uses Yukimura, the only real competition Camilla has in terms of her support is Summer Nerthuz and that´s it
I agree my placement of Camilla is harsh rn but in the long run I just don’t see her getting any better. Like I said though she’s still great and she’s a meta unit for a reason!
Hahaha my original idea was to do a full Book 8 banner Tier List, and I’ve been taking notes on each banner as they came out, but when I looked at my notes I was like hold up why wait till the end of the year when I could make the video right now LOL. Funny enough this ended being my longest script yet, if I hadn’t cut anything it would’ve been over an hour and 30 mins. But the flow was kinda wonky so that’s why this version’s shorter (but with better pacing imo)

She can tank magic. she can pop cavs and armours. most Micaiahs have Maiden's Solace (which is better than Sacrifice). this one now Heals. (baiscally hinting at her sage capablities - Healer Micaiah when IntSys). and her Emblem is probably going to be the infantry version of this one. it's pretty bananas
To be honest I think it’s still hard to say for sure, I generally avoid ranking things so close to release because we need time to see how things pan out in practice. But for now I wouldn’t put the banner higher than A or B, nothing in there really blew me away imo

Hold on! Tina is actually a super good defense unit. Stealing foes bonuses as soon as her turn starts and granting them to nearby allies is super op.
I lost count of the ammount of succesfull defenses I had thanks to her stealing +1 movement from foes and catching them off guard as they end turn. Other notable example is stealing the AoE protection that Gotoh gives thus turning the tank vulnerable again.
Unlike Nergal, she doesnt need to enter combat to trigger the stealing of bonuses, she just steals from whoever foe has the most bonuses regarldles of distance or anything.

Most of the Thracia banner was bad but as someone who uses Tina constantly I can say she is great. She has a different usage from Nergal since she steals buffs at the start of the turn while his steal requires a unit to attack. It can be very nice to not have to deal with those buffs on your first combat that turn and I personally run her on both of my AR-D teams. I'm glad not many people have her though because that means nobody plans for her, and the amount of Winter Dimitri's that had their lives claimed by her was just fun to watch.

Let’s be real, Thracia’s banner best selling point was Lara having rockslide dance 2 in the normal pool. I’m quite happy that the Awakening kids banner got ranked high. Duo Robin is so ridiculous for support and is good on offense as well. So happy that I free summoned them. Attuned Micaiah is just a ridiculous unit. Breath of Life 4 being on a normal pool unit is wild when IS likes to keep the premium skills to seasonal and LME banners.

That’s exactly why I don’t pull on legendary/mythic and seasonal banners. It’s a total waste to pull on it, especially for a f2p like me. My tip is to ONLY summon on SPARKABLE banners. That’s how I use and save my orbs wisely. I have 755 orbs rn

I think, even with a full 6+ months in the game, the Christmas banner still is decent in today's standards. The only one I think isn't useful in the meta is Dimitri, but only because of the conditions needed to get his bonuses. Byleth is still a top 2 save (He's still the best for pure tanking imo, with better scowl, NCD, and his duo button), Edelgard's Edelgard (a bunch of actions), and at least Yunaka has a niece of a Canto Max Ranged Cav (even if Canto Control is pretty common). Overall, the impacts of the Christmas banner is still prevalent, whether that be the units themselves, or the precident that they set for future units. As always, a great video with spicy takes and hope you have a good day!
Yeah, you make a good point. If I ranked banners purely on “impact” then this is easily at the top, I couldn’t agree more when you mention the precedent it set for other units. Yeah I think following Breath of Life 4, W!Byleth beats Myrrh because he’s got NCD which makes him the best V!Lyon counter while now not having to worry about pre-combat damage.

@@ENEMii-IRL I don't see many TWEWY content on TH-cam, so when I see it (or hear it), it's a welcome surprise. If I actually remember to consistently record the Limited Time battles, I'll try to replicate some familiar effects.
tina is absurd on AR D... i've seen multiple people use her on defense as well (both on my friends list and encountering in AR O) as using her myself. every time i build tina defenses i have -0 lift even in vault.
she's incredible on cav lines when she can steal the incredibly common +1 mov buff (from units like attuned ivy and bridal sharena) and then suddenly i have 4 mov ranged cavs with pre charged aoe on the first enemy phase.
i HARD disagree with the assessment of nergal being better than tina in every possible way considering he can be used on defense in the same way (requiring units to enter combat before stealing the buffs). since my main use case for tina is the 4 mov ranged cavs at that point it would just be better to use tea sigurd to ensure i get the +1 mov buff cause again you need to enter combat to steal buffs with nergal.
and that's not to say the other buffs tina can steal aren't worth anything i just really value mov+1, she also steals stuff like visible nfu and charges status (and charge) and incited and vantage and stuff like that. i ran an undefeated defense last chaos season consisting of canto control tina, summer mia (flared strike + fatal smoke 4), fallen ursula, hardy bearing sanaki, attuned micaiah (who lets sanaki quad with crux), and legendary ninian (flared strike + alarm for canto 1). it was real nasty work.
in certain scenarios nergal is absolutely better than tina but it's disingenuous to say he's better in /every way/

Okay, finished watching the video. I can tell you, I actually won an SDS battle against E!Ike with BoL4, E!Marth, A!Micaiah, W!Dimitri, and A!Ced. My book 6 and prior team only won by technicality.

Ash (Edit: Had Miracle, whom survived Emblem Ike to fend him off for a turn instead of killing her because Great Aether doesn't pierce Miracle)

No, these units weren't meant to take on the opposing team. Even when I pushed Groom Roy's Duo button, Canas couldn't kill E!Marth or E!Ike. However, the match itself had the absolute middling plays by the opponent and I somehow killed E!Marth with Ash when he was at 1 hp. With E!Ike giving BoL4 support. But because I targeted E!Marth with Canas' AoE, E!Ike still got hit and was reduced to 1 hp and couldn't heal it off. So Groom Roy somehow, against all odds, killed E!Ike, then blocked W!Dimitri from getting through.
Because Canas had Hardy Bearing, he took out W!Dimitri who couldn't use Vantage, got the AoE on him and A!Ced.
Down to just Canas vs A!Ced and A!Micaiah. I went first turn 4, and killed A!Ced. By some miracle, Canas survived A!Micaiah's attack (no way he was going to survive 2 attacks, and he died if he initiated combat with the AoE), and I went first on turn 5. Note that he did not chase me with FT Echo, just stayed in place.
I was gonna settle for a draw, so I Charged out of the capture area, and I was up 2 points. Then after the final turn ended, it awarded me the win. I screamed internally when I saw I won.
Moral of the story, fehvorites are forever, meta is temporary. I was NOT slated to win, but somehow I played perfectly. I was never punished for my team consisting mostly of a downright literal ragtag group of irrelevent units, that don't kill anything, that die to literally everything, and they just keep getting worse and worse as the meta progresses, and most importantly, Canas is just not that good. I felt like I was climbing a mountain that I definitely couldn't climb. The good news is AoE still works if the unit itself (E!Ike) isn't pushed into combat, but hit by said AoE.

I feel like with Mythic and Legendary banners the color share pools should be considered when judging the banner. Legendary Male Corrin is not as good as Emblem Ike but I would argue that his banner is better because even though he is a much worse unit you can spark Emblem Ike in that banner too and Ike has a much better colorshare so there would be more value summoning on that banner for Ike than on his original banner.
That’s something I considered taking into account this time around and back when I did the Book 7 banner tier list, but I chose against it because I’m using banners as a metric to talk about the game more than anything. If I were looking at a list on solely value then it would look like a totally different list. Also only FEH pass players can spark so I don’t like taking that into account. I see the value in what you’re saying though, maybe for a video in the future!
honestly for the 2 tina fans she aged like fine wine and continue to get good, feh seems to really like makin field buffs for everything and her and nergal being the only options to steal them she's still a good unit

@@ENEMii-IRL It was the PAL code (Permissive Action Link code) technically, not the presidents code with the nuclear football.
Best way to put it, this was the code in each ICBM silo (at every silo for 20 years) to arm the warhead. The launch codes were swapped far more often.
The concept was the launch codes were highly secret (and never get declassified) to prevent bad parties trying to trick people into launching. But the politicians wanted codes to stop bad parties from stealing the warhead and using it. Think like an IPhone, too many bad guesses will kill the phone or in this case warhead. However the military was freaked that enemies could hack this and stop the nukes from ever working, thus killing the deterrent from attacking. So they basically didn't do that, said they did, and instead just gave the nukes the dumbest code ever to arm it. With their line of thinking it's such a stupid code a panicking airman in a silo when WW3 is starting can't forget the code and misenter it. Supposedly they now do have codes to kill the warhead, and instead one one universal password everyone knows at all sites. They have 1 code per silo and it gets changed with each new crew deployment (something like 2-4 years) at the maximum. Though they could swap it out every month if they wanted to instead, or after a guy quits or gets dishonorably discharged. Plus they drill with it regularly so they won't forget it. Or so they tell us.
Also the US does lend their nukes to allies in NATO who request them, such as Germany, these countries are given warheads as a deterrent against Russia but supposedly don't know the PAL code to arm it as only America does. That way America can stop them from first striking Russia.
Idk how you can say wyvern rift is just okay when changing the speed threshold to double is insane.
I’m assuming it’s because you still need a good amount of speed alongside that defense to really make consistent use of it, which shrinks down the amount of viable candidates for it.

i think people sleep too much on fallen maria, she's an amazing user of breath of life 4 as a support keeping her miracle effect for when trully necessary, sure fatal smoke 4 exist or whatever, i've seen maybe 2 units with it at most, we only have 2 units with feud built in that nobody use and colorless feud c skill is irelevent. There's so many great options for C skills that fatal smoke doesn't see the light of day as much as it should, ploys are everywhere and you still see a bunch of brave robins, so i won't let the "fear" of fatal smoke's existence change anything about how maria is broken, you know what's scarier than emblem ike? emblem ike with breath of life and miracle, freeing his c skill so he can run something else like fatal smoke to counter other emblem ikes
Marth is my favorite character in the entire franchise. Emblem Marth was a gift from God and the devs during an extremely rough patch in my life, so I'm glad to see him in a high tier.
However, I literally run Ike's ring on Emblem Marth, which goes to show how strong Emblem Ike is 😭

I think W;Edelgard is definitely still capable, She’s kinda geared for big single hit damage so she can actually have a good matchup vs ike.
Like I’d say her kit is better than Shearna’s. Shearna just has a move type that makes more sense.
I don't regret summoning on that Thracia banner. I just wanted to build my favorite blue tomes and they got Fatal Smoke 4 along the way because I gave it to him. But yeah, IS using R!Rein as cannon fodder for other banners is a low blow to Thracia's banner..

The thing about Micaiah is that while I’d agree that she’s really really *really* good, is that she’s not as close to immortality as Ike is. There’s more ways to kill her and because of that she’s not as relevant as Ike who comes close to winning to everything that isn’t precision built to kill him. Micaiah has the Duo Sanaki problem where like, null penalties and spacing actually makes her pretty tolerable (which ike has)
While Ike needs hardy bearing and/or scowl, and you also need the kill power to actually get rid of him.
They will die to everything and this is why they are in this tier 🤯 good video enemii

While there might be a few takes here and there I disagree with altogether and a few others I'd argue with. Overall you are on point with this one, the quality of the video is nice as always. AND THANK YOU for not making me feel like shit for deciding to roll on the Micaiah banner right before summer. Severa getting done so dirty killed me. She was terrible on release, Ike Engage made her somewhat passable briefly and now she dies to absolutely everything now whilst barely killing anything. I've spent the last 6 months lavishing her with orbs to try to support her and absolutely nothing works.
No lie though I think there's no better way to spend your orbs these past 6 months. The meta moves too fast to spend them so frequently, I give nice stuff to my Yuri even though I know he'll still be bad lmao. I bet your Severa is still awesome!
I don’t know why you think Hortensia is so high value when I’d argue even her value as a support has been crept by Micaiah and Micaiah also has good combat. Which Horty just doesn’t.

I'm honestly a bit surprised by your take on R!Reinhardt I agree that he is not in the upper echelons of units but hes definitely has a place in the meta if invested having only aged better over time rather then worse. After the Rearmed rework he got Arcane Euphoria as his preferred weapon, and now with the introduction of Far Trace Echo he can easily run either Occultist Strike(stack four sources of bonus damage) or Desperation 4 aside from that the hit ranged cavs took after BoL4 doesn't affect him and he now has a far better A-slot then the vast majority of cavs who lost Flared Sparrow since its sorta just a side-grade now to Remote Sparrow, now whether that even means anything thats another thing...

You make good points on Reinhardt. I still don’t like that he doesn’t have DR piercing (and even if he did, what else does he do beyond being a nuke) but you’re right, he has a lot of unique things about him that make him age better than most cavs. I just don’t see him being that crazy even if he does end up being a bit better but it’s possible I underrated him!
@@ENEMii-IRL I still think you're spot on with your analysis overall though and even me saying all this on Reinhardt, A!Ivy just sorta does everything better with being a far better fodder factory, having a well aging A-skill, able to run the Occult/Desperation 4 + Far Trace combo and having flier skills like Deadly Miasma/or C-slot support compared to Reinhardt just being a selfish ranged cav.
Man they really did send that Thracia banner out to die...
Oh and small note on Lumera she doesn't need to enter combat to apply stone vein like L!M!Corrin with water vein so she does the High Dragon Wall anti-warp way better than he does, Rearmed especially for the fodder factory.

Imo I think Tina is better than loki, Loki’s most notable thing in comparison to Tina is gravity, but Tina actually punishes bonus stacking, and is way more unpredictable. And is way harder to dodge, Loki can be dodged by not using 3 bonuses or by literally avoiding her area, and countering bonuses is ultimately a counter to effects not everyone uses.
Tina is just a much more significant counter imo.
the male legendary corrin banner is actually the best banner ever made because it has both emblem Marth and Emblem Ike in it
Ike can’t really kill units that don’t counter, so Attuned Micaiah (and any ranged unit with decent bulk) is actually really good at tanking him, which is really really funny.
Corrin’s banner has both the emblems on it. So like “objectively” (still subjectively actually) S+
on the one hand I'm glad ike finally has a great, meta defining alt.
on the other Emblem Ike is the single worst unit IS has ever created. He was already utterly infuriating to take down and then they added BOL4 to make a truly evil unit.
Like I'm glad that tanks are getting buffed since they sucked last book, but he's just was to annoying. Also can we please buff the armored units IS they still suck

My go to team isn’t beast though.
I preferably use a team consisting of Dual Lyon, Exalts Right Hand Robin, any flying dancer, and this one grey bow unit that prevents follow up attacks. I cannot spell his name. The first king of the steam punk nation. I have never been good with names.
It is essentially an assassination team that kills off threats before they become a real problem. Take out the team members that can be dangerous and threaten the team first. Using AOE damage in advance to weaken them on top of preventing counter attacks and using the Lyon to skip their actions. I use the Robin to create hard to remove obstacles that enable a more defensive playstyle. I also use a bunch of buffs and debuff skills to create a situation where my opponents are in deep trouble.
It is an extremely toxic team.

I think you underestimate Young Lissa.
unlike the other Infantry Melee units, she is basically on par with E!Ike in terms of power and defense although Ike is stil better having the edge because of NCD and Great Aether
although she isn't quite as good as he is, she does allow for people to basically run a second slightly weaker Ike in SDS
also it just further shows how good the Child banner is that the "worst" unit on it is a weaker E!Ike

When I started playing late in 2023, I relied on game8 for guidance & summoned on rearmed reinhart. Yeah, ugh. It wasn't until I got into fehTubers that I realized game8 doesn't have a pulse on playing competitively.
Good list! I disagree on Easter, hardly ever see chloe or mirablis (& when I do, they're easily accounted for). Id put Easter above corrin lol.
Ya like FEHtubers also get stuff wrong but game8 is NOT the place to be sourcing competitive info lol. Really only you can be the best judge w your goals and resources. Or better yet, just always treat your faves lol
M Corrin's banner needs to be higher because it's a better banner for marth and Ike than both of their debut banners.
I didn’t factor in colour sharing because that has nothing to do with the game design of units itself but it’s true it has great value!

Pretty good placements as always, putting LCamilla in D tier is pretty wild but your logic is sound, her gimmicks and fodder ain't aging well, a solid unit but almost exclusively for arena.
It's very telling how overtuned the winter 3H banner was seeing that it's still looming on new seasonal banners such as the bridal banner, I would argue if this list was released a month ago it would be a solid A tier for sure... or maybe is still is?
I do think the 3H winter banner is still a good investment because unlike most book 8 banners it's well balanced in all the main roles of playing the game: WEdelgard as the galeforcer, WByleth as your saviour and omnitank if you want to, WYunaka as your hit and run nuke, and the weirdest of one but still the best one on this role WDimitri as your vantage omnitank, you can drop these units into your AR-O teams even to this day and they will make an impact, having no demote 4 star filler unit is also a positive since most of those are only serviceable at best.
The fodder is a bit mid by today's meta standards, but it so happens that the worse aging units there: Yunaka and Dimitri(he's pretty good antimeta AR pick tho) happen to have amazing fodder too, an outstanding banner all around with no real downside, unlike most banners that have demote deadweight or just fodder only units that will age once said fodder gets powercrept or gets more widely distributed.
Funny enough, I had the winter banner in A at first and it was one of those banners that it was hard to justify putting high but personally I liked it a lot. You make great points on having no four star demote, combined with the fact that it was speakable I think it’s still an amazing banner overall. Purely from a value perspective I think it’s really hard to beat. I went back and forth on many banners for a long time hahaha
@@ENEMii-IRL Oh I knew you would understand, cost efficiency is A tier for sure, I mean sure there's HIgrene or DRobin as better range nukes, there's DSharena as the better galeforcer initiator, there's VMyrr as the better far saviour... that's nice and all, but you have to splurge so many orbs here and there just for a marginal upgrade? Isn't worth it imo, the fact that you get everything you "need" to play the game in today's meta(even if struggling a little bit) in one single banner elevates it over other banners that just excel in one thing or two while the rest of the banner is lackluster, but that's just my f2p brain talking and it barely matters with so many whales in this game hahaha...

Is she better than Claude? Yeah probably, but he’s a favorite of mine. Now I feel like the gap between the two isn’t as huge as before.
Also thracia last is sad. I will still continue to pull on it whenever it rolls around for Reinhardt alone. I’d personally put Loki banner last, she just doesn’t seem all that useful to me at all and her aside it was one of the worst legendary line ups

The ONLY reason FEH is still downloaded on my phone at this very moment is because I free summoned a copy of Breath of Life 4, the unit. Haven’t built, foddered or done anything wiht the best skill in the game no question, it’ll just sit there as a trophy, since if you own a copy of said skill, you’ve effectively beaten Fire Emblem Heroes to completion.

Surprised you put legendary M!Corrin banner so low. Thought it would be an S banner. It felt like you was just rating corrin himself rather than just the banner overall. It having both emblem units that color share with each other blows almost every other banner out the water.

You’re exactly right, I wasn’t factoring in things like colour share. If I started including that then I’d also have to include other external criteria (spark or no spark? Etc) and it moves the discussion away from the actual meta itself when ranking banners. I’d love to make a purely value centric list one day though!

respectable tier list, however, judging by your criteria, doesnt that mean that BOL4 can easily fall off as well, just like pre combat damage and precombat damage units. IS will eventually make a tier 5 fatal smoke drive skill or unit that completely invalidates any sort of healing full stop. and it screams that its coming just right around the corner pretty soon. seeing as there are signs everywhere in the meta that fatal smoke 4 is going to get an upgrade. that will also bring back pre combat damage nukes again, and put the power back to player phase teams. so everything is pretty wishy washy atp. evidently time and time again, the only true winners are the ones who pulls strictly for favorites.
You make good points, couldn’t agree more on the faves over all mentality. Obviously they will make a counter to everything but considering we just got BOL4 if we try to look that far ahead then at that point don’t even play the game
@@ENEMii-IRL yeah for sure, youre right that we cant really get ahead of ourselves because that wont get you anywhere with your progress with the game. even if fatal smoke 5 comes something new will counter it too making BOL4 top tier again so its just an endless loop. it really is just better to enjoy whatever the meta is cooking atm and go with the flow but its still good to have a little bit of foresight for better resource management at the very least. more importantly, i guess it is better to see feh as a fan-service hobby game made for fire emblem fans to have some access to their fave characters beyond the mainline FE games more than anything else.
I think it's just so funny how Micaiah and Emblem Ike are complete polar opposites to the rest of the heroes because, in fact, they WILL kill everything, they WON'T die to anything, and that's why I fucking hate Path of Radiance (joke).
How is mryhh better than winter byleth. Byleth seems to live most of their nukes with little support while mryhh always straight up dies.
Warp bubble that she and her support partner get. Warping is so prevalent (L elincia, both guidances, charge, etc) that being able to shut it down massively limits the opponents movement. That alone makes her arguably better. Although byleth is still better at purely tanking, so both could be argued to be the best far save.

I completely disagree with Camilla´s take, even tho her pre.combat dmg is not that strong anymore, the fact that she can give DR halving just by existing with no condition is still great I´m not saying she is S, but definitively A or B, Like Corrin is better tank, but his support is meh since he has to attack to place the water terrain so he is super anti-synergetic and absolutely no one uses Yukimura, the only real competition Camilla has in terms of her support is Summer Nerthuz and that´s it

Hahaha my original idea was to do a full Book 8 banner Tier List, and I’ve been taking notes on each banner as they came out, but when I looked at my notes I was like hold up why wait till the end of the year when I could make the video right now LOL.
Funny enough this ended being my longest script yet, if I hadn’t cut anything it would’ve been over an hour and 30 mins. But the flow was kinda wonky so that’s why this version’s shorter (but with better pacing imo)

@@ENEMii-IRL honestly. Micaiah (ANY of them) is usually one of those. "even when she's *bad* she's still really servicable. She can tank magic. she can pop cavs and armours. most Micaiahs have Maiden's Solace (which is better than Sacrifice). this one now Heals. (baiscally hinting at her sage capablities - Healer Micaiah when IntSys). and her Emblem is probably going to be the infantry version of this one. it's pretty bananas

To be honest I think it’s still hard to say for sure, I generally avoid ranking things so close to release because we need time to see how things pan out in practice. But for now I wouldn’t put the banner higher than A or B, nothing in there really blew me away imo
