do you think they can ever make beast units relevant again? I like the idea of the OC trio being beasts, but they might not even be good because of their beast forms….
@@noobyfun What pisses me of is how all beasts weapons are always weaker than the other melee counterparts and you must transform just to have as many MT as a melee weapon. 🙄 i.e Swords/Axe/Lances have 16 MT, all beasts' weapon have 14 MT and you have to transform to get the missing 2 MT.
@@noobyfunthematically beasts are so cool. Sadly in practice it’s a little hard lol. Like sometimes they try to make beasts better with that Atk/Spd Wild skill but they need to keep going lmfao. I love the Askr trio though so I’ll take any alts for them any day
@@ThermalVoid Not IS releasing Beast Sense with 10% less DR than Spurn 4, but also having no true DR anyways so it's not like it matters anyways. Still, making a tier 4 beast skill on the verge of 2024 when they have such a hilariously limited awful pool of skills to choose from already, and making it weaker than something infantry godswords have had access to for the entire year, is just sad. And honestly, pathetic. The fact the godsword DR skills are close to irrelevant now, with everyone and their mother shutting down DR almost for free at this point because it's being handed out like free balloons at Lil Timmy's birthday party, makes it even worse. XD
@@ThermalVoid also the 2 MT thing is so beyond stupid. Locking them out of something all the other melees have, then making it a dang conditional. That's basically extortion. They could have given them all something unique. Like 5 True DMG. It wouldn't break the game and it would have helped beasts to stay more relevant. Everyone can use some extra true dmg, especially beasts who are on the lower side with their Attack stats and require maximum investment to even justify using them. Selkie for example. That attack stat is so abysmal, I just don't use her at all. IS just doesn't like beast units compared to everything else I guess... Oh well. /: At least my New Year Velvet is still good. (Awakening Taguel, I play Japanese so I be forgettin her name and others)
Great video, but I just want to point out one small mistake: unfortunately, Tana cannot run rein snap since it is locked to melee fliers and she is ranged. One thing she can run which I don't recall you mentioning is golden yule bow. It synergizes very well with her B skill and allows her to instantly deadeye anyone without scowl.

It’s so sad that Lif was the first Arcane hero to introduce Rearmed Heroes and Arcane Inheritance, only to be powercrept by Fallen Chrom and other inheritable speedy swords. I just want a Lif alt that lasts really good for a while and doesn’t fall off for a while 😭
I sometimes forget that Hortensia is a rearmed, because in my head she is just so good and far better than other rearmed heroes. I'm really glad I focused on her on that banner. She's my go to support every time.
I was dying when you brought up Alfred and Lif "the basically have the same stat spread" looking at that 59 atk/41 def to 71 atk/63 def 😂 all jokes aside love the vid!
honestly i adore eitr; she reminds me a lot of one of my favourite fictional characters, and i've had her on my ar defense team for a while now. she actually does really well, despite not being the best unit type, and is able to take some fair hits even from greens. she's just a sweet little gremlin :D
Design wise she’s def a fave of mine too. Whenever I make these videos I always have to pick one unit as a “placeholder” template before I assemble everything else…and of course, I had to pick Eitr for this one! I don’t want to hate her, but she’s not good on paper, and she’s definitely not good later. Poor Eitr. Still love her though
When Eitr was released I was using her in the Aether Raids offensive team along with a far save unit for 2-3 months and I was surprised by the good results it gave me. I don't know how useful she is now because I don't use her much anymore, but when she was released I think she was pretty good. And much, much better than Lif, Ganglot and Alfred that I wasn't even able to use them on their release day, I think she deserves to be in a higher tier than them.

Hortensia's my queen. I'm so glad I got her so early, she carries my SD matches with just how much ridiculous support she comes with along with the Staff itself. I can rest assured that she CAN DO EVERYTHING (while still probably DYING TO EVERYTHING).
I actually agree with you but just because I was very lucky pulling for him just to spark Tina. Got 3x copies of him + 1 from Divine Codes. In the end the best Rearmeds are the ones you can get the most use.
you undervalue how ginny actually can be deceptively useful especially to teams that arent prepared to deal with her flash effect, which I heavily capitalize off in AR-D, along with a pretty high res stat that's easily stackable with blessings/support, which means her special jumping is actually really hard to scowl down outside of hushed spectrum. the amount of times ive watched my AR-D get a win because ginny won res check against dbyl/veyle and blasting them into the stratosphere happens way too often (and I'm VoH). Hortensia also inflicts flash but lacks both the raw threat range and having to get her special off to even apply it when ginny just has to stand there menacingly and lane checks the entire right half of the map.
You make some great points. Ginny is just more limited in her use cases than I’d like but you’re right that her use cases are quite effective. Also, felt that R!Ophelia moment so hard lol
I very much agree on this lists overall. Especially Hortensia, as someone who got hortensia just for her staff. Her support is just INSANE. She's the few support units i know that works for litterally any team comps. Omni-tank? Neutralize penalties. Vantage? Gives some very useful debuffs and buffs to ally and neutralize penalties. Player phase? FREE canto 1 plus debuffs and buffs again and also guidance support. Is like IS thought it was a great idea to make a jack of all trait support unit. But ended up giving her all the amazing supports a support unit would want. Plus her combat ain't even the worse!
I dont really understand why so many people say that Arcane Thunder is worse than Euphoria, the only value that i see in Euphoria is the true damage and slaying, Thunder meanwhile has, Slaying, Lull Spd/Res, Breath, Spd Based NFU and the only thing its missing is true damage which, while its really valuable, I'd personally take Arcane Thunder's overwhelming amount of effects over Euphoria' true damage and 2 additional mediocre or even straight up bad effects
For Reinhardt in particular he really likes the GFU. But in general I don’t like either of them that much lol. Thunder is much better for the speedy mages through and generally I like the speedier arcanes better anyways
All of the units who I actually consider favorites hover around E-C tier (and are okayly merged) sadly, but I can’t disagree tbh. I especially wish Reinhardt was better, his movement restriction is so silly. It’s like they wanted to make him underwhelming to punish OG Reinhardt for breaking the game
I know everyone values things different when it comes to fodder but I KNOW everyone agrees the e rank rearmed deserves their spot even when we consider fodder since a certain attuned unit exists.

Tana is so good, especially at the time, I don’t really know who approved that lol. But it’s clearly the same person who approved guidance 4 so makes sense !
If going off of their base kits and examining solely combat potential... this is pretty accurate. That said, with high investment a lot of these units can definitely get way more powerful. For example, Rearmed Grima running one of NY!Kana's weapons, plus Dragons Roar (or armored special like Armored Blaze) & Canny Fighter 4 is a massive improvement. Plus with other future Armored and Dragon skills being kinda inevitable she should maintain value for a long time... if you look beyond her base kit. As her A skill has a fairly good longevity prospect, due to countering armor effectiveness... and Atk/Spd Scowl 4 is a decent sidegrade. Oh, and as a Rearmed unit, she can run Guard Echo too. More DR is always useful on a tank plus minus 1 special cooldown on the enemy too. On a side note... seeing this list in comparison to Attuned heroes will be interesting. As Attuned have far better weapons in general.
You make great points. I like to factor in ideally similar levels of investment for every unit we look at because of course a unit will do better if you give them more investment. It just makes sense to compare apples to apples in that sense. Also, I can’t wait to make the Attuned tier list, there’s not enough of them yet but I already know there’s gonna be so many monsters there lol
@@ENEMii-IRL OH, I fully agree. Just pointing out that certain Rearmed units with high investment will be better than others in their base kit tier. As an example, Rearmed Fallen Chrom probably won't ever rise as much as Rearmed Grima, because as you stated, his gimmick isn't that great and done better by nearly a half dozen other units. This essentially, while giving him a usefulness boost vs a base Rearmed Grima, does simultaneously hold back his potential. Especially since she has 2 rarer skill pools to summon off of. I know, it's counterintuitive...
Was fun to watch as were the other lists and I honestly agree with most of the list, with one exception. In my opinion there is someone way to biased on Tana, when even on her Release biggest remarkable thing was „Omg Guidance 4“ and she also is a definition of „doesn’t kill anything and dies to everything“ and support-wise she just get outclassed by Plumeria and Hortensia on the Rearmed spectrum alone and even more if considering Attuned Heroes (which are kinda the same kind of heroes but a little bit different) where also Peony and Triandra are better supports and Ivy is a by far way better Ranged Flying Nuke. So sorry I feel like Tana is C-Tier at best, maybe B-Tier if considering moving Rearmed Fallen Chrom (and maybe Ingrid) up there too, which are at least at the same level of Tana imo (Action economy of Chrom with his weapon also probably being one of the better Rearmed weapons and in case of Ingrid especially with access of No Quarter the support is equal and the combat arguably better than Tana‘s).
You make some great points. Tana is definitely the worst in A tier but she’s only that high because of her proximity warping while also being a warping beacon and no other flying ranged unit is as good as her in that sense. In the earlier drafts she was definitely lower though And as always I’m glad you enjoyed you’re the goat for being here 🙏

I mean the combination of Guidance 4 + Soaring Guidance is a think that actually many fliers can do, even some of them being Rearmed/Attuned too and while her ability to warp herself is also great, I don’t know if it should be valued that much at a time where Gatekeeper/Valentine‘s Myrrh are somewhat more prominent and probably more important when Tana isn’t on nearly the same power level of her basically melee equivalent of Legendary Elincia, who, especially with No Quarter, actually can kill many units quite efficient. But of course after all it’s your tierlist and I know it is only considered to be compared within the Rearmed units bubble. And to be fair I, myself, don’t have to many experience with most Rearmed Heroes, cause I just don’t have many of them. After all IS has talent to give the Rearmed treatment to a lot of characters I actively don’t like (Grima, Ingrid, Alcryst, Hortensia, Ophelia, Plumeria) or I couldn’t care less about (Eitr, Ginnugagap, Reinhardt, Tana) or where the artwork is just horrible in my opinion (Lucina). I think the only Rearmed units or characters that are Rearmed units that I really like are Sonya and Chrom and not as a unit or character but I think Ganglöt is somewhat stunningly beautiful (and I have to admit despot not liking Ophelia as a character, they for whatever reason really went hard on her artwork lol). So… good job IS lol.

I don't have a lot of the newer rearmed units so this is very helpful! I hope I can have hortensia one day lol I skipped her banner I am still stubbornly using my chrom even though he isn't the best. My only strategy for tanks like Emblem Ike in AR defense is to hope chrom ignores them and gets in range to attack someone killable after using fate unchanged 😂

Last year I would've defended Alfred but now I cant. Cause last year when godswords were rampant he worked really well against them because of weapon advantage and the high def making them barely able to tickle him. He carried me when Lucia's and s!fjorms were running around
The Attuned Ivy/Rearmed Hortensia banner definitely put the bar too high for banners and it wont surprise me if ends up as top 3 banners this year. Excellent video, I really enjoyed it!

I know that attuned units are technically another category of units than rearmeds but since they are functionally the same i'd like to have them tiered together
I kept them separate because with rearmed units there’s a lot of discussion on changing and swapping weapons and that wouldn’t make sense to have that for the attuned units. It’s also unfair to make a combat tier list and include them both because then all the attuned units would sweep house. But I’d love to make a tier list for them too one day!
I am so glad I didn't sleep on Hortensia when she came out. Went for both her and Ivy. And man, they really cooked with her. Plumeria is also another unit I am glad I ended up getting. Also doesn't Hortensia's penalty neutralization make her similar to Freyr to a degree? And if so, there was a missed joke opportunity for sure. But all jokes aside. Great video as always! It was 30 minutes but felt like 15 minutes. Didn't feel like it dragged at all. Which I feel is often the case with tier list videos. What's the next planned list/project?
Freyr does a better job at cleansing than Hortensia but they’re both quite good, also you picked up such good units on that banner lol. Also that’s so kind I try to have a good sense of pacing/flow in my writing to keep things interesting, I’m really happy it paid off 🥹 I’ve already got the next list in the works but I’ll wait a day or so to announce it…it’ll make sense when you see it lol but I think you’ll really like the next one I’ve got cooking up! @ENEMii-IRL I think we can all agree that Freyr is in a class of his own, but yeah, Hortensia aside from everything she already does, just reminds me of him a little on top of it all. In before Fafnir does the same thing of marinating for a few years and becomes a meta unit upon being released for summoning. But seriously, your hard work has paid off for sure as it is very noticeable! And I am excited for your next project as always!
The odd thing with a lot of Re-armed units is that they all have relatively underpowered weapons. so it's no surprise the supportive ones are the best, I think I'm personally lower on Lucina and Higher on Ginnungagap. Lucina's combat isn't extremely good, and her buffs aren't that crazy, treachery is hard countered by null foe bonuses and ploy, and even then 24 true damage isn't an auto win like it used to be. and the DR effect is sad. meanwhile Ginnungagap has the easiest time inflicting flash of any unit. it's funny that thrima is pretty good for galeforce so the attuned dancers are kinda just better with it imo
Yeah Lucina was actually the pick I was the most sus on tbh. It was hard for me to objectively say she was bad but I don’t love her usefulness the same way I do Plumeria’s, hard to deny her action economy though
The sad thing is that Owain and Ophelia are 2 of my favourites in the game. It hurts to see Ophelia dogged on so bad... but it's worse that you're right
Accurate list. I'd say the low tier blue melees could all be 1 tier higher if meta is the main consideration since they can be used as budget Emblem Ike counters in modes like arena assault. At +0, all they need is hardy bearing and Marth emblem to beat the average +10 E!Ike. Same with Ophelia, whose tome is indeed bad but its nice that she can self charge AOE with Marth emblem and can at least be useful for deleting tanks like E!Ike. The only truly awful ones are Ganglot, Lif, Rein, and Alcryst
I think what’s worse with Reinhardt is that one month later after his release, attuned ivy came out and is so much more better having 3 movement like Reinhardt and have multi attack that doesn’t have strict conditions, she supports, and she feels better to use
It is puny bc that’s only visible stats. Maybe you’re confusing visible stats with in-combat stats but you’d rather buff up your in-combat stats than your visible stats and considering units get stat swings of 60+, yeah it is puny lmao
After seeing your legendary units videos and seeing you around the community, finally decided to subscribe. The thing about rearm units is that the weapons are so basic since they don’t want people to give them out to every unit. Might be why I find more interest in attuned units. As much as I like Fallen Chrom, his brave and legendary versions I feel like do so much better. Also Tana cannot use rein snap as snap skills are locked to flying melee units only.

I'm ngl I fully forgot about Rearmed Hortensia 😂After you talked about Plumeria and mentioned there being an insanely good rearmed hero I just thought "Who? There isn't any others left is there?" 😂 The main character I disagree with though is Rearmed Robin/Grima and would put her as A-S tier since I think she's only gonna get better with age. Her weapon isn't great but that's her only real downside, and since you can equip other arcane weapons on rearmed heroes now I can see her stocks going way up, especially since the 2nd arcane weapon of each weapon type is normally speed focused with null follow up built in it will suit her stat spread well. Plus like you said negating effective damage is one of the best things you can have as a save tank, so she'll always be a decent option, and armour and dragon units tend to get new fodder fairly often so she'll always have some new skill to play around with. As a bonus while it wasn't part of the criteria I doubt there's gonna be many magical armoured rearmed units since they're not the most common unit type, and since she's been around for so long she's not too difficult to get copies of so she's perfect for being a fodder factory for armoured and dragon skills like Canny Fighter, Dragon Roar etc.
Hahaha Hortensia is the sleeper pick of that banner, she's so cracked she doesn't even behave like a Rearmed. Also I agree with your points on Robin. She was actually higher than Ingrid in 95% of the drafts. It was just hard to say why she's objectively better than Ingrid but personally I like Robin better than even Chrom
@@ENEMii-IRL I need to train her up and try using her a bit, I've got a copy of her since I wanted a couple copies of her for her weapon but I just gave her staff to Winter Eirika (Not the best unit I know but I wanted to try build her up still 😂) but I haven't tried using Hortensia yet 😅😂 That's fair enough, she's a weird one tbf since she's not amazing atm but she'll deffo age a lot better than the majority of the Rearmed Heroes so far.
Fallen Chrom may still hold a great potential considering he's the only Chrom able to use his prf assist + an echo skill And about his weapon, he'll probaby benefit greatly from the next rearmed sword just like Tana with Alcryst's bow
You make a great point. I thought about this when writing his section and I just wasn’t confident they’d make a good x skill for cavs (because it requires them to have good skills in the first place lol). I can totally see them making good stuff for them though, they’ve always made cavs good whenever they suffered. I’d love to be wrong because I really want to use my Fallen Chrom lol
XD Yay! Hortensia won! She's not quite my favorite, but she did update my favorite unit to use. She is absolutely nuts though. Just her base kit is crazy. I was just goofing around with her as a level 1 doing expert modes and she was doing more damage as a level 1 than any level 1 should be doing. Also, Lucina and Chrom both synergize very well together. I have both and their positional assists work together. So you can use it on him first to trigger both abilities, use his on hers to move her closer. Use him again to trigger Galeforce and get rid of isolation again, and use another assist if needed to inflict more debuffs, or attack again. Then use Lucina to attack. You clear a lot very easily like that, at least on maps. I use a fun combo of those two, Lon'qu, and Priscilla to quick clear the hardest level maps they introduce. I just don't use then in arena since they require too much summoning orbs to get the right score. If I summon for them, it's just for fodder for my favorites.
Nice list as always👍🏼 Hortensia is definitely something else I only got one copy of her from that banner and about 4 Ivy’s. Hut Hortensia still does so much that merges don’t mean shit to me, shout out to Ivy though she’s still an insane unit too though. This isn’t biased but I genuinely use Eitr more than anyone else in E and D tier but I totally agree with what you said being a beast is hard enough but a beast cavalry is even worse.😭 I always wanted Ophelia for SS 4 but even that isn’t enough to for me to want her now, I feel like her older blue version is better but that’s not saying much.😅 Líf suffered for “fist of arc-a type” syndrome like they could have at minimum kept him infantry and made his PRF special and skill better but nope.
I thought of you while working on the Eitr segment lol the sad part is that I really like her a lot I wish she was better 😭😭😭 whenever I make these lists I need to use one of the units as a “template” in the beginning to format everything else and of course I had to use Eitr this time around! Massive Plumeria W my favey always stays on top, but I thought Eitr was great she always works well for me. The fodder isn’t the greatest tbf. Also I’m not sure if I misunderstood, but Plumeria does actually stat buff her allies, not just debuffs the enemies! It’s +5 to all stats for allies and -5 to all enemies.
Yeah you understood properly, I just don't mention minor stat buffs (or even debuffs for that matter) because basically every single weapon/effect in the game buffs or debuffs someone by 5-7 stats, so saying it for each time I talk about a kit messes up the pacing and doesn't really add much to the convo either. You'll notice I also don't mention stat buffs/debuffs for any other unit unless it's a really big swing. I did mention the debuffs specifically for Plumeria though because it made sense to bring it up along with Foe Penalty Doubler! Also Plumeria is a fave of mine too lol
Fully agree with everything on this, and it's honestly just more sad than anything when you think about it, like that's the state of the game right now. Kinda sucks. Which is why I'm desperately hoping for Rearmed Remixes akin to Legendaries and Mythics. Especially so Ophelia could get something new. Even if it's JUST a Prf skill that helps her stand on two feet again. It should honestly just be new Prf weapons and refines and a new Prf skill, or if needed, an update to their current Prf skill, if they don't wanna give the unit a new skill that will be "free" to pass on, which in my mind is dumb and shouldn't hold them back from helping the unit be good again, similar to the Lull refine given to Lysithea despite her having Lull Spd/Res in her basekit which she DOES NOT want to run, tier 4 or not, it's so garb and should have come with more effects, but anyways... My problem with rearmed is that the weapons get crept so fast. The function as factories is always nice but even death blow echo is always nice on anyone that can inherit it. Attuned heroes have more to give, there will be plenty of bonkers prfless seasonals who will love echo skills. Rearmed weapons produce units into a statline with a few generic effects, better than nothing but they will still die to everything....
Yeah if they weren’t good units as fodder factories then it’s really hard to care about the outdated rearmed units. The whole point of arcane weapons is to make old units better and now even rearmed units need arcane weapons lol. Attuned heroes are now what you’re hoping the alt will be for your faves, they’re just so crazy good. @@ENEMii-IRL for me there were 2 arcane weapons that failed for me to even update the weapon types they were meant for, the most egregious one being Ophelia’s weapon, that tome is really only good for infantry mages to make them special spiral 4 nukes. I had some non infantry red mages with not that great speed I really wanted improved like Arete but the weapon was not meant for her. The 2nd is Lucina’s axe, while it is a very good weapon it failed for me as it was a bad side grade to my OG Camilla. I keep my Camilla as up to date as I can to make her decently viable, she currently has arcane downfall, Aether, att spd clash, gambit 4, and spd def menace along with guard echo. She functions pretty well as she can deny some follow ups and get good sustainable healing with the axes healing per hit or the special acceleration for aether, the weapon really improved her, but there was one ability she really needed, nfu and when I saw fast arcane weapons had it I was looking forward to the fast arcane axe. But I then had a bit of a bad realization, the speed axe may not have healing and special acceleration, two very critical effects to let Camilla last for more than one battle. As the time went on I was worried the axe wouldn’t work out, then att spd pledge came and I was hopeful I could use that to patch up the axe, then I learned it was infantry only, then the speed axe came out and it was as I feared. It did allow her to fight some harder to kill enemies yes but she became completely unsustainable without support, which she could do with Downfall. Currently there are no skills melee flyers can equip that can give dual phase healing or special acceleration, and arcane Prima just doesn’t stack up to the Downfall kit. I still gave Camilla the axe but it just sits in her inventory, waiting to hopefully one day be usable when a skill she can inherit gives dual phase healing or special acceleration Sorry for the wall of text
Absolutely begging IS to give beasts some good exclusive skills. Like Eitr isn't even all that good as fodder given how limited her pool of skills can be. As always fun video!

Ophelia deserved better. Prfless, shes worse than 4* red tomes now. The update allowing all rearms to use prf + arcane and or echo made her (and ganglot's) unique thing free for everyone. Its hard being an Ophelia fan man 😔
She was so robbed, especially after the rearmed unit privilege change. I think IS just has PTSD from her base version lmao. Fingers crossed for a good Ophelia alt someday
If/when you have a spare E!ike to give out Laguz Friend, what attuned/rearmed unit would you give it to? Both for their own benefit/best unit to fodder to others.
It’ll depend on so many factors, only you can decide tbh. I would just pick a unit you like tbh because it’ll feel good summoning for them and giving them cool things. Of all the infantry attuned/rearmed I like Caeda the most but that’s just me!
Not gonna lie, I dont ever bother with Hortensia because she is a rearmed healer. But I never considered her potencial until now.😮 and now with baby Emmerin becoming more common on defenses.
Your rating system is the correct one imo, most rearmed units aren't that good by themselves and that's something that should be accounted for, I really hated back in AHR2023 that ROphelia made it into the banner instead of real good units such as SEdelgard or DChrom just because she had good fodder, now she's nowhere to be seen, and SS4 isn't even that good anymore either, but regardless. I might be a little biased about Eitr because of how much she kicked my ass in AR as a defensive unit, when she was deployed my teams often folded against her, she didn't cared about saves(my main team) and speedy units couldn't reliably take her down because she was fast and deceptively bulky as well, Idk how good she is now since I don't see her anymore, but I struggled waaay more against her than any other rearmed unit of 2023(AoE spammer Sonya aside ofc) so it's a bit perplexing for me seeing her in E(for Eitr tier hehehehe...) tier, but again, I might be biased because of my own personal experience. I do agree with the top choice, isn't even close for the rest of them, I personally don't merge up any of these guys more than a +1 or +2 because yeah fodder is good and all but I care for the unit performance first, then scoring and these guys often rate poorly in one or both(the only exception weirdly enough is RRobin back in her day) they're an orb sink and as a f2p player myself I often try to avoid that in favor of a more long lasting investment. Anyway, it's a pretty good list, and I do agree with everything for the most part, I chuckled a lot with that Alfred engage reference hahahaha, you're by far the feh content creator I enjoy the most watching and listening too, keep it up!

SS4 really isn’t worth thinking about now Eitr is prob one of my faves on the list so I didn’t want to put her that low either. Also Eitr tier hahahaha. She is unusually good, carried by her stats more than anything imo. @ENEMii-IRL Yeah, wasting orbs for scoring is kinda bad, I feel so bad for those who spent on DDuma or HCorrin just because they scored very high, now they're just decent PVE autobots at best with refines scheduled for like 8 years from now lol, that's why you just summon for Chrom(not this one or the assistless ones lmao) or for some Duo/leg Dancer for infinite(basically) longevity. Glad you find joy doing this, gacha aside, I think this game is still pretty good, even after 3-4 years playing it daily.
Not being able to take down Emblem Ike or being as good as Ninja Sanake/Duo Lyon shouldn't be a penalty for units. Emblem Ike is just an absurd tank so whatever they make to hard counter him will only make these Rearmed units even worse than they already are. On the same note the absurd power units like Ninja Sanaki, Harmonized Igrene and Duo Lyon will always be superior to whatever these Rearmed units have to be since they are meant to sell shiny new weapons and skills for new builds for incredibly outdated pet build characters especially when they are also meant to be reran regularly. They will never be better than limited Legendary/Mythic/Emblem/Duo/Harmonic unit for that reason.
Having a losing MU to the meta threats doesn’t automatically make a unit bad but it doesn’t make them good either haha. It wasn’t a penalty per se but just the simple fact that these are all units in the same game that all fight each other

Wow have you went against Arcane Sonya she is one Hit KO unit her A Skill is insane her weapon is broken also you were a little to harsh on Ingrid and Robin the flyer skills and armor and Dragon skills have gotten out of hand , ingrid would probably jump to B tier but Grima is like A Tier if she had a premium she would be kinda insane and Eitr has gotten insane with the new beast special and skills

@@ENEMii-IRLfirst, i wanted to say great video 👍. i guess it depends a lot on how much you're into AR defense. i'm not sure how you mean prone to aging. she's already outclassed by igrene as an AoE nuker in general, but only Sonya can fill her niche as both AoE nuker and self chipping to enable healer traps on ARD. I don't think we will get another AoE nuker who damages themselves anytime soon. Funnily she has gotten only stronger since release, especially recently with young emmeryn. But maybe you meant that you think a nerf for AoEs is likely coming soon?

I do think there is some value in self-chipping but it’s so niche I didn’t think too highly of it and you’re right that it comes down to how much we value AR-D. I just don’t value it that much relative to all the other use cases in the game and it’s far from a must have on AR-D anyways. I do agree with you though that Young Emmeryn made her even better, I just wish she had a better tome
Ganglöt was one i was interested in what they would do to her, and i was very disappointed. Rearmed units withoud PRF stuff are lame, the whole point is that only the reamred units can use prf stuff in combination with an rearmed weapon

Ganglot have access to Laguz Friend, and have a good Res, of couese her Axe is nor that good, but it can be changed for Thrima or even the Vulture Axe But yeah her food is trash, and giving her Laguz would take a slot for a better unit with the skill like Brave Dimitri, or in the same categorie, Balthus for exemple or even Brave Tiki
Nah I still think plumeria is the best. Going +1 in action economy isn’t actually that good unless there’s something a unit can do with that action. That’s why L;Ninian isn’t the best dancer because despite her dance being the only dance that is +1 in action economy, the extra action she gets isn’t useful, because she can’t use it to dance and has a hard time actually killing. (And she’s technically only as action + as a galeforce unit) so imo hortensia using Magic Shield isn’t anything game breaking, by its own mechanics one of the actions it gives you has to be a cast on an ally. The best thing it does for you is allow your unit extra mobility and a free assist cast, which is why it’s so good on Emmyryn, when she is the ultimate warp bot. So while I’m sure it’s good on hortensia, its main use would be a similar use to the positional staffs, to better move hortensia into more advantageous positions. I think the self-refreshment is really good on the chroms because they all have effectiveness weapons, and because they scale well. If they were just reposition bots they’d just be ok support. For all the support she gives you, Hortensia isn’t a very good combat unit, Charmer is nothing special offensively, and she’s not going to kill anything with reasonable defenses, especially things with NCD, because she has absolutely no protection from anything. altogether her most notable support effect is canto 1, everything else is just stat swings, and her debuffing has counters too. Plumeria on the other hand, also gives stat swings, also boosts ally mobility (soaring echo and dancing in general) and is significantly more flexible due to being able to dance units as needed. her re-armed is comparable (combat wise anyway) and she’s suited for Ploy, while Horty isn’t. Ploy on its own is more stat swing, exposure, and a counter to a few of the stronger buffs. Maybe in enemy phase teams Horty is just better, but I think even in those cases Plumeria is still adequate. And Plumeria isn’t the best dancer, I’d personally say it’s one of the attuned dancers, (peony does a lot of what Horty does, including give canto 1 to swaths of your army, but she’s a dancer too, so she’s better). But I’d argue if those units make Plumeria irrelevant (which they don’t, you can have more than 1 dancer) then duo Robin blows hortensia out of the water, because hush spectrum is genuinely better than all of Hortensia’s collective debuffs, with her base B Robin also can give canto 1, and Robin self-refreshes every turn and has good combat too. And a strong duo skill when it’s usable. Though that aside, I can see why hortensia is good, just imo she’s matchup dependent pure support, while Plumeria is always going to be good to have on the team, and a significant unit unless your entire team is dancers.
As always, you make some great points. I totally agree on the L!Ninian point, her combat isn’t as good as we’d like. And yeah, Plumeria’s a lot better combat wise than Hortensia. I think you’re right in the sense that Plumeria’s more universally useful, but I still think Hortensia’s more universally effective. I value canto support a lot, especially since that’s more unique than dancing and guidance support. I see where you’re coming from on Plumeria though, especially if you factor in Ploy she does a lot more in practice than on paper. Honestly I am a bit disappointed since I thought you would rank them based on a "fodder factory" perspective or at least have it as a parameter but having the whole ranking rely on their use as a unit alone is weird since it's really not the most important part of their identity as a unit type imo.

I did consider it but for example I wouldn’t even know how to rank Ganglot because she’s either S Tier if you build melee infantries or E Tier if you don’t. @@ENEMii-IRLI get your point but I think some "objective" criteria are things like how good the arcane weapon itself is, how much "good" fodder can be duplicated, how many unit types can benefit from them and of course the viability of the unit itself should be taken into account but not the only thing. You should watch Joël / Fehology's take on it (even though it was released a few months ago and misses the newest ones)

That’s an awesome team haha I don’t know what modes you’re playing/your level of investment/the fodder you have etc so it’s hard to give tips but if you go into summoner duals and click the max favor button you can see the builds people are running for those units, usually that’s a great place to start!

My build: +8 Merges +10 Dragonflowers -Arcane Downfall (+Spd) -Reposition -Vital Astra (Engaged with Ike) -D Bonus Doubler -Repel 4 -Time’s Pulse 4 -Bonus Doubler 3 -Guard Echo She gets supported by Mythic Naga, Mythic Lumera, and Mythic Freyr, with Naga and Freyr giving her stat boosts to be doubled.
You should have included Attuned on this list since they are basically Rearmed+ imo but its fine. I think Rearmed privilege will be the main factor as to whether these units will age well
I thought it’d be more interesting to keep the convo to rearmed (especially since in the context of unit performance) we talked a lot about swapping/changing weapons and that doesn’t really apply to attuned units. And def agree on the aging factor point, hope you still enjoyed nonetheless 🙏

Ngl the first half of this video was annoying to watch, just constant dogging on units. Woulda been more enjoyable if you just went by a different order or something and had a little more variation. Just constantly hearing ‘just not good’ and ‘worse and worse’ just because they’re not A tier or better. The change in tone from C to B is noticeable.

I remember when I first made tier lists, I also thought about changing the order but I thought doing it in this order made sense since you always have a sense of comparison to what came before it. Part 2 Honestly I have an extreme bias for Eitr I love that she is Young Freyja she is so cute and adorable I think her weapon is really powerful and her A skill is really good Attuned Azura everything +9 Serge Effect with a Flash Effect which quite good and still makes skills like Serge Sparrow and Atk/Spd Flash blade seem weak in comparison she is a great Galeforce user and being cav Beast is good she was my only unit that could defeat Emblem Ike and Marth her only Problem is two thing she needs Canto like Kagero or Karla have and her a skill needs Divine Vein Effect, DC Beast Seal her problem for you is that she doesn't support which could easily be solved by a proper Vein Effect if she had something like a combo of Rattatoskr Vein and Flame Vein or Miasma Vein and spread it like winter edelgard she would be broken
A tier list of grail units would be dope ngl. But it would most likely be too long for a video, so the only other based option is ranking peony's alts based on how breedable they are.
I wouldn’t be against doing one for every grail. Like right now I’m ranking 60 fricken duos so long videos aren’t my issue lol. Part 1 Honestly this is a good tier list and i personally believe that they are some classes that benefit from being Arcane like Hortensia other archetypes cannot without a multifactional premium weapon like Arcane Grima which really shows that is hold back by her Arcane Weapon because they had to limited so is not to broken and there are some characters that i personally disagree and some that i agree Ganglot doesn't have a unique skill is such a misses opportunity Lif they didn't want to make him stronger than his refine Mythics whichs sucks so they made on the same level and the Engage characters alfred and Alcryst really seamed they were made to foddered i mean alfred gaining 20 def might sound scary but loses 5 Spd so i just a tome against him and kill him no Prf no Dc just stat A skill is so mid nowdays and Alcryst is meant to be fodder for his A skill that is it Reinhardt when i saw his quad being locked in his Prf A skill than his Arcane made me laugh because if his Arcane just gave him they Ability to quad in his Arcane plus all the skills it had it would B Tier considering Ninja Weapon are getting extremely scary every year Chrom is not as horrible but yeah Lucina is far better Arcane so much that she is just going to get better with time because is just one broken A skill from being able a skill if only DC Atk Spd existed as well as AtkSpd link 4 and Def and Alarm were a thing oh wait they are plus her arcane weapon is insane Chrom takes advantage of those effects too too but just misses the fact that Lucina has the Speed and the Arcane to do so he has to wait an arcane weapon like lucinas but honestly it would probably be better to run Lucina instead she can use duo Y Robin Spanctrum effect and being danced by Attuned lucina really shows that she is a unit that will Evolve as we forth she should be S Tier because her Playstyle continues to be updated by units like Robin and even an engage version instead of completing with her can help her be better Guiniggagap is mid but at least she has one advantage she can get Flared Mirror and also she is mix of Yunuka and Ninja sanaki but without quad or Speed which seems to be the problem being a vanilla Arcane dagger means that with the right arcane she can do some kills that other units might find difficult also being colorless is not worst maybe she can be moved to B but she needs revaluation not the best but i believe she can get better Next Ingrid and Grima are locked by the fact they need a Prf weapon because of the competitive but is still great but they both need an upgrate in their A skill like DC for Grima and a Piercing effect for Ingrid and they would definitely be Better but they are still good and Ingrid can still use Snap skills which upgrade her to A Tier since since she can use Soaring Echo as well so she can be pretty terrifying Grima though she has stats but she is just an archetype that needs premium weapons to survive even then she is still faces the fact that Brave Corrin will get a refine if we get premium weapons for Arcane characters though she has a chance because she will at best get it one year after corrin so she can be turned from decent to meta defining in a single night if they get Premium ones so they can be better so Ganglot Alfred Lif Reinhardt Alcryst Chrom and Gunnigaggap are justified and Hortensia Plumeria Tana are alright Lucina can be S Tier on her own Ingrid and Grima can be redeemed so we end up with units i Disagree Sonya is very good but you haven't concider the Possibility of the Close counter Infantry Seal because the momment they make it she just busted and she is infantry which means she can get access to a lot of effects she is meant to go and destroy and she is much better than the grand majority of Infantry mages even without CC she can access Attuned Azura and Peony and Canto 1 and plus 1 movement but getting to infantry CC can make her an S Tier and maybe S+++ If they give her a Premium weapon which honesty i hope not because she might is the closest to getting a Infantry Mage that would work perfect as an Infantry Far Saver which is terrifying to think of she just need to negate Piercing while gaining Piercing and give to her allies and Res Oriented Spurn 4 Far Save effect and she just pure Chaos as for Ophelia on one hand i love her and she can defeat everyone on the list she needs a lot of supprt to do it but on the other hand she is at top of E because she is a mage but removing that at she is even worst than Ganglot at least she can Use all of Infantry Melee skills and Alfred and Lif have access to canto Gambit 4 or might be able to run both if get near trace echo skills and both have Premium skills are good in a way but she gets nothing i would probably create an F tier she needs a Premium Weapon , Skill and still all Mid stated unlike any other unit on the list at least tried or succeeded to excell in some she is just unsaveable

@@noobyfun What pisses me of is how all beasts weapons are always weaker than the other melee counterparts and you must transform just to have as many MT as a melee weapon. 🙄
i.e Swords/Axe/Lances have 16 MT, all beasts' weapon have 14 MT and you have to transform to get the missing 2 MT.

Still, making a tier 4 beast skill on the verge of 2024 when they have such a hilariously limited awful pool of skills to choose from already, and making it weaker than something infantry godswords have had access to for the entire year, is just sad. And honestly, pathetic. The fact the godsword DR skills are close to irrelevant now, with everyone and their mother shutting down DR almost for free at this point because it's being handed out like free balloons at Lil Timmy's birthday party, makes it even worse. @@ThermalVoid also the 2 MT thing is so beyond stupid. Locking them out of something all the other melees have, then making it a dang conditional. That's basically extortion. They could have given them all something unique. Like 5 True DMG. It wouldn't break the game and it would have helped beasts to stay more relevant. One thing she can run which I don't recall you mentioning is golden yule bow. It synergizes very well with her B skill and allows her to instantly deadeye anyone without scowl.

honestly i adore eitr; she reminds me a lot of one of my favourite fictional characters, and i've had her on my ar defense team for a while now. she actually does really well, despite not being the best unit type, and is able to take some fair hits even from greens. she's just a sweet little gremlin :D
Design wise she’s def a fave of mine too. Whenever I make these videos I always have to pick one unit as a “placeholder” template before I assemble everything else…and of course, I had to pick Eitr for this one! I don’t want to hate her, but she’s not good on paper, and she’s definitely not good later. Poor Eitr. Still love her though
When Eitr was released I was using her in the Aether Raids offensive team along with a far save unit for 2-3 months and I was surprised by the good results it gave me.
I don't know how useful she is now because I don't use her much anymore, but when she was released I think she was pretty good.
And much, much better than Lif, Ganglot and Alfred that I wasn't even able to use them on their release day, I think she deserves to be in a higher tier than them.

Hortensia's my queen. I'm so glad I got her so early, she carries my SD matches with just how much ridiculous support she comes with along with the Staff itself. I can rest assured that she CAN DO EVERYTHING (while still probably DYING TO EVERYTHING).

I actually agree with you but just because I was very lucky pulling for him just to spark Tina. Got 3x copies of him + 1 from Divine Codes. In the end the best Rearmeds are the ones you can get the most use.
you undervalue how ginny actually can be deceptively useful especially to teams that arent prepared to deal with her flash effect, which I heavily capitalize off in AR-D, along with a pretty high res stat that's easily stackable with blessings/support, which means her special jumping is actually really hard to scowl down outside of hushed spectrum. the amount of times ive watched my AR-D get a win because ginny won res check against dbyl/veyle and blasting them into the stratosphere happens way too often (and I'm VoH). Hortensia also inflicts flash but lacks both the raw threat range and having to get her special off to even apply it when ginny just has to stand there menacingly and lane checks the entire right half of the map.
also have to add that rophelia is genuinely so fucking useless now that shes my designated laguz friend 4 factory now lmfao

I very much agree on this lists overall. Especially Hortensia, as someone who got hortensia just for her staff. Her support is just INSANE.
She's the few support units i know that works for litterally any team comps. Omni-tank? Neutralize penalties. Vantage? Gives some very useful debuffs and buffs to ally and neutralize penalties. Player phase? FREE canto 1 plus debuffs and buffs again and also guidance support. Is like IS thought it was a great idea to make a jack of all trait support unit. But ended up giving her all the amazing supports a support unit would want. Plus her combat ain't even the worse!

I dont really understand why so many people say that Arcane Thunder is worse than Euphoria, the only value that i see in Euphoria is the true damage and slaying, Thunder meanwhile has, Slaying, Lull Spd/Res, Breath, Spd Based NFU and the only thing its missing is true damage which, while its really valuable, I'd personally take Arcane Thunder's overwhelming amount of effects over Euphoria' true damage and 2 additional mediocre or even straight up bad effects
For Reinhardt in particular he really likes the GFU. But in general I don’t like either of them that much lol. Thunder is much better for the speedy mages through and generally I like the speedier arcanes better anyways

All of the units who I actually consider favorites hover around E-C tier (and are okayly merged) sadly, but I can’t disagree tbh. I especially wish Reinhardt was better, his movement restriction is so silly. It’s like they wanted to make him underwhelming to punish OG Reinhardt for breaking the game

If going off of their base kits and examining solely combat potential... this is pretty accurate.
That said, with high investment a lot of these units can definitely get way more powerful. For example, Rearmed Grima running one of NY!Kana's weapons, plus Dragons Roar (or armored special like Armored Blaze) & Canny Fighter 4 is a massive improvement. Plus with other future Armored and Dragon skills being kinda inevitable she should maintain value for a long time... if you look beyond her base kit. As her A skill has a fairly good longevity prospect, due to countering armor effectiveness... and Atk/Spd Scowl 4 is a decent sidegrade. Oh, and as a Rearmed unit, she can run Guard Echo too. More DR is always useful on a tank plus minus 1 special cooldown on the enemy too.
On a side note... seeing this list in comparison to Attuned heroes will be interesting. As Attuned have far better weapons in general.
You make great points. I like to factor in ideally similar levels of investment for every unit we look at because of course a unit will do better if you give them more investment. It just makes sense to compare apples to apples in that sense. Also, I can’t wait to make the Attuned tier list, there’s not enough of them yet but I already know there’s gonna be so many monsters there lol

Just pointing out that certain Rearmed units with high investment will be better than others in their base kit tier.
As an example, Rearmed Fallen Chrom probably won't ever rise as much as Rearmed Grima, because as you stated, his gimmick isn't that great and done better by nearly a half dozen other units. This essentially, while giving him a usefulness boost vs a base Rearmed Grima, does simultaneously hold back his potential. Especially since she has 2 rarer skill pools to summon off of.

Was fun to watch as were the other lists and I honestly agree with most of the list, with one exception. In my opinion there is someone way to biased on Tana, when even on her Release biggest remarkable thing was „Omg Guidance 4“ and she also is a definition of „doesn’t kill anything and dies to everything“ and support-wise she just get outclassed by Plumeria and Hortensia on the Rearmed spectrum alone and even more if considering Attuned Heroes (which are kinda the same kind of heroes but a little bit different) where also Peony and Triandra are better supports and Ivy is a by far way better Ranged Flying Nuke.
So sorry I feel like Tana is C-Tier at best, maybe B-Tier if considering moving Rearmed Fallen Chrom (and maybe Ingrid) up there too, which are at least at the same level of Tana imo (Action economy of Chrom with his weapon also probably being one of the better Rearmed weapons and in case of Ingrid especially with access of No Quarter the support is equal and the combat arguably better than Tana‘s).
You make some great points. Tana is definitely the worst in A tier but she’s only that high because of her proximity warping while also being a warping beacon and no other flying ranged unit is as good as her in that sense. In the earlier drafts she was definitely lower though

I mean the combination of Guidance 4 + Soaring Guidance is a think that actually many fliers can do, even some of them being Rearmed/Attuned too and while her ability to warp herself is also great, I don’t know if it should be valued that much at a time where Gatekeeper/Valentine‘s Myrrh are somewhat more prominent and probably more important when Tana isn’t on nearly the same power level of her basically melee equivalent of Legendary Elincia, who, especially with No Quarter, actually can kill many units quite efficient.
But of course after all it’s your tierlist and I know it is only considered to be compared within the Rearmed units bubble.
And to be fair I, myself, don’t have to many experience with most Rearmed Heroes, cause I just don’t have many of them. After all IS has talent to give the Rearmed treatment to a lot of characters I actively don’t like (Grima, Ingrid, Alcryst, Hortensia, Ophelia, Plumeria) or I couldn’t care less about (Eitr, Ginnugagap, Reinhardt, Tana) or where the artwork is just horrible in my opinion (Lucina).
I think the only Rearmed units or characters that are Rearmed units that I really like are Sonya and Chrom and not as a unit or character but I think Ganglöt is somewhat stunningly beautiful (and I have to admit despot not liking Ophelia as a character, they for whatever reason really went hard on her artwork lol). So… good job IS lol.

I am still stubbornly using my chrom even though he isn't the best. My only strategy for tanks like Emblem Ike in AR defense is to hope chrom ignores them and gets in range to attack someone killable after using fate unchanged 😂

I know that attuned units are technically another category of units than rearmeds but since they are functionally the same i'd like to have them tiered together
I kept them separate because with rearmed units there’s a lot of discussion on changing and swapping weapons and that wouldn’t make sense to have that for the attuned units. It’s also unfair to make a combat tier list and include them both because then all the attuned units would sweep house. But I’d love to make a tier list for them too one day!
I am so glad I didn't sleep on Hortensia when she came out. Went for both her and Ivy. And man, they really cooked with her. Plumeria is also another unit I am glad I ended up getting. Also doesn't Hortensia's penalty neutralization make her similar to Freyr to a degree? And if so, there was a missed joke opportunity for sure. But all jokes aside. Great video as always! It was 30 minutes but felt like 15 minutes. Didn't feel like it dragged at all. Which I feel is often the case with tier list videos. What's the next planned list/project?
Freyr does a better job at cleansing than Hortensia but they’re both quite good, also you picked up such good units on that banner lol.

In before Fafnir does the same thing of marinating for a few years and becomes a meta unit upon being released for summoning.

The odd thing with a lot of Re-armed units is that they all have relatively underpowered weapons. so it's no surprise the supportive ones are the best, I think I'm personally lower on Lucina and Higher on Ginnungagap. Lucina's combat isn't extremely good, and her buffs aren't that crazy, treachery is hard countered by null foe bonuses and ploy, and even then 24 true damage isn't an auto win like it used to be. and the DR effect is sad. meanwhile Ginnungagap has the easiest time inflicting flash of any unit.
it's funny that thrima is pretty good for galeforce so the attuned dancers are kinda just better with it imo
Yeah Lucina was actually the pick I was the most sus on tbh. It was hard for me to objectively say she was bad but I don’t love her usefulness the same way I do Plumeria’s, hard to deny her action economy though

Accurate list. I'd say the low tier blue melees could all be 1 tier higher if meta is the main consideration since they can be used as budget Emblem Ike counters in modes like arena assault. At +0, all they need is hardy bearing and Marth emblem to beat the average +10 E!Ike.
Same with Ophelia, whose tome is indeed bad but its nice that she can self charge AOE with Marth emblem and can at least be useful for deleting tanks like E!Ike.
The only truly awful ones are Ganglot, Lif, Rein, and Alcryst

After seeing your legendary units videos and seeing you around the community, finally decided to subscribe. The thing about rearm units is that the weapons are so basic since they don’t want people to give them out to every unit. Might be why I find more interest in attuned units. As much as I like Fallen Chrom, his brave and legendary versions I feel like do so much better.
Also Tana cannot use rein snap as snap skills are locked to flying melee units only.

I'm ngl I fully forgot about Rearmed Hortensia 😂After you talked about Plumeria and mentioned there being an insanely good rearmed hero I just thought "Who? There isn't any others left is there?" 😂
The main character I disagree with though is Rearmed Robin/Grima and would put her as A-S tier since I think she's only gonna get better with age. Her weapon isn't great but that's her only real downside, and since you can equip other arcane weapons on rearmed heroes now I can see her stocks going way up, especially since the 2nd arcane weapon of each weapon type is normally speed focused with null follow up built in it will suit her stat spread well. Plus like you said negating effective damage is one of the best things you can have as a save tank, so she'll always be a decent option, and armour and dragon units tend to get new fodder fairly often so she'll always have some new skill to play around with. As a bonus while it wasn't part of the criteria I doubt there's gonna be many magical armoured rearmed units since they're not the most common unit type, and since she's been around for so long she's not too difficult to get copies of so she's perfect for being a fodder factory for armoured and dragon skills like Canny Fighter, Dragon Roar etc.
Hahaha Hortensia is the sleeper pick of that banner, she's so cracked she doesn't even behave like a Rearmed. Also I agree with your points on Robin. She was actually higher than Ingrid in 95% of the drafts. It was just hard to say why she's objectively better than Ingrid but personally I like Robin better than even Chrom

I thought about this when writing his section and I just wasn’t confident they’d make a good x skill for cavs (because it requires them to have good skills in the first place lol). I can totally see them making good stuff for them though, they’ve always made cavs good whenever they suffered. I’d love to be wrong because I really want to use my Fallen Chrom lol
XD Yay! Hortensia won! She's not quite my favorite, but she did update my favorite unit to use. She is absolutely nuts though. Just her base kit is crazy. I was just goofing around with her as a level 1 doing expert modes and she was doing more damage as a level 1 than any level 1 should be doing.
Also, Lucina and Chrom both synergize very well together. I have both and their positional assists work together. So you can use it on him first to trigger both abilities, use his on hers to move her closer. Use him again to trigger Galeforce and get rid of isolation again, and use another assist if needed to inflict more debuffs, or attack again. Then use Lucina to attack. You clear a lot very easily like that, at least on maps. I use a fun combo of those two, Lon'qu, and Priscilla to quick clear the hardest level maps they introduce. I just don't use then in arena since they require too much summoning orbs to get the right score. If I summon for them, it's just for fodder for my favorites.

Massive Plumeria W my favey always stays on top, but I thought Eitr was great she always works well for me. The fodder isn’t the greatest tbf. Also I’m not sure if I misunderstood, but Plumeria does actually stat buff her allies, not just debuffs the enemies! It’s +5 to all stats for allies and -5 to all enemies.
Yeah you understood properly, I just don't mention minor stat buffs (or even debuffs for that matter) because basically every single weapon/effect in the game buffs or debuffs someone by 5-7 stats, so saying it for each time I talk about a kit messes up the pacing and doesn't really add much to the convo either. You'll notice I also don't mention stat buffs/debuffs for any other unit unless it's a really big swing. I did mention the debuffs specifically for Plumeria though because it made sense to bring it up along with Foe Penalty Doubler! Also Plumeria is a fave of mine too lol

Fully agree with everything on this, and it's honestly just more sad than anything when you think about it, like that's the state of the game right now. Kinda sucks. Which is why I'm desperately hoping for Rearmed Remixes akin to Legendaries and Mythics. Especially so Ophelia could get something new. Even if it's JUST a Prf skill that helps her stand on two feet again. It should honestly just be new Prf weapons and refines and a new Prf skill, or if needed, an update to their current Prf skill, if they don't wanna give the unit a new skill that will be "free" to pass on, which in my mind is dumb and shouldn't hold them back from helping the unit be good again, similar to the Lull refine given to Lysithea despite her having Lull Spd/Res in her basekit which she DOES NOT want to run, tier 4 or not, it's so garb and should have come with more effects, but anyways... Yeah. Great video man. You have earned my sub, for what it's worth.

My problem with rearmed is that the weapons get crept so fast. The function as factories is always nice but even death blow echo is always nice on anyone that can inherit it.
Attuned heroes have more to give, there will be plenty of bonkers prfless seasonals who will love echo skills.
Rearmed weapons produce units into a statline with a few generic effects, better than nothing but they will still die to everything....
Yeah if they weren’t good units as fodder factories then it’s really hard to care about the outdated rearmed units. The whole point of arcane weapons is to make old units better and now even rearmed units need arcane weapons lol. Attuned heroes are now what you’re hoping the alt will be for your faves, they’re just so crazy good. I can’t wait to look at them all in an Attuned Tier list one day

@@ENEMii-IRL for me there were 2 arcane weapons that failed for me to even update the weapon types they were meant for, the most egregious one being Ophelia’s weapon, that tome is really only good for infantry mages to make them special spiral 4 nukes. I had some non infantry red mages with not that great speed I really wanted improved like Arete but the weapon was not meant for her. The 2nd is Lucina’s axe, while it is a very good weapon it failed for me as it was a bad side grade to my OG Camilla. I keep my Camilla as up to date as I can to make her decently viable, she currently has arcane downfall, Aether, att spd clash, gambit 4, and spd def menace along with guard echo. She functions pretty well as she can deny some follow ups and get good sustainable healing with the axes healing per hit or the special acceleration for aether, the weapon really improved her, but there was one ability she really needed, nfu and when I saw fast arcane weapons had it I was looking forward to the fast arcane axe. But I then had a bit of a bad realization, the speed axe may not have healing and special acceleration, two very critical effects to let Camilla last for more than one battle. As the time went on I was worried the axe wouldn’t work out, then att spd pledge came and I was hopeful I could use that to patch up the axe, then I learned it was infantry only, then the speed axe came out and it was as I feared. It did allow her to fight some harder to kill enemies yes but she became completely unsustainable without support, which she could do with Downfall. Currently there are no skills melee flyers can equip that can give dual phase healing or special acceleration, and arcane Prima just doesn’t stack up to the Downfall kit. I still gave Camilla the axe but it just sits in her inventory, waiting to hopefully one day be usable when a skill she can inherit gives dual phase healing or special acceleration

If/when you have a spare E!ike to give out Laguz Friend, what attuned/rearmed unit would you give it to? Both for their own benefit/best unit to fodder to others.
It’ll depend on so many factors, only you can decide tbh. I would just pick a unit you like tbh because it’ll feel good summoning for them and giving them cool things. Of all the infantry attuned/rearmed I like Caeda the most but that’s just me!
Not gonna lie, I dont ever bother with Hortensia because she is a rearmed healer. But I never considered her potencial until now.😮 and now with baby Emmerin becoming more common on defenses.

Your rating system is the correct one imo, most rearmed units aren't that good by themselves and that's something that should be accounted for, I really hated back in AHR2023 that ROphelia made it into the banner instead of real good units such as SEdelgard or DChrom just because she had good fodder, now she's nowhere to be seen, and SS4 isn't even that good anymore either, but regardless.
I might be a little biased about Eitr because of how much she kicked my ass in AR as a defensive unit, when she was deployed my teams often folded against her, she didn't cared about saves(my main team) and speedy units couldn't reliably take her down because she was fast and deceptively bulky as well, Idk how good she is now since I don't see her anymore, but I struggled waaay more against her than any other rearmed unit of 2023(AoE spammer Sonya aside ofc) so it's a bit perplexing for me seeing her in E(for Eitr tier hehehehe...) tier, but again, I might be biased because of my own personal experience.
I do agree with the top choice, isn't even close for the rest of them, I personally don't merge up any of these guys more than a +1 or +2 because yeah fodder is good and all but I care for the unit performance first, then scoring and these guys often rate poorly in one or both(the only exception weirdly enough is RRobin back in her day) they're an orb sink and as a f2p player myself I often try to avoid that in favor of a more long lasting investment.
Anyway, it's a pretty good list, and I do agree with everything for the most part, I chuckled a lot with that Alfred engage reference hahahaha, you're by far the feh content creator I enjoy the most watching and listening too, keep it up!

Eitr is prob one of my faves on the list so I didn’t want to put her that low either. Also Eitr tier hahahaha. She is unusually good, carried by her stats more than anything imo. Still better than Ganglot by far though lol

@ENEMii-IRL Yeah, wasting orbs for scoring is kinda bad, I feel so bad for those who spent on DDuma or HCorrin just because they scored very high, now they're just decent PVE autobots at best with refines scheduled for like 8 years from now lol, that's why you just summon for Chrom(not this one or the assistless ones lmao) or for some Duo/leg Dancer for infinite(basically) longevity.
Glad you find joy doing this, gacha aside, I think this game is still pretty good, even after 3-4 years playing it daily.

Not being able to take down Emblem Ike or being as good as Ninja Sanake/Duo Lyon shouldn't be a penalty for units.
Emblem Ike is just an absurd tank so whatever they make to hard counter him will only make these Rearmed units even worse than they already are.
On the same note the absurd power units like Ninja Sanaki, Harmonized Igrene and Duo Lyon will always be superior to whatever these Rearmed units have to be since they are meant to sell shiny new weapons and skills for new builds for incredibly outdated pet build characters especially when they are also meant to be reran regularly.
They will never be better than limited Legendary/Mythic/Emblem/Duo/Harmonic unit for that reason.
Having a losing MU to the meta threats doesn’t automatically make a unit bad but it doesn’t make them good either haha. It wasn’t a penalty per se but just the simple fact that these are all units in the same game that all fight each other

Wow have you went against Arcane Sonya she is one Hit KO unit her A Skill is insane her weapon is broken also you were a little to harsh on Ingrid and Robin the flyer skills and armor and Dragon skills have gotten out of hand , ingrid would probably jump to B tier but Grima is like A Tier if she had a premium she would be kinda insane and Eitr has gotten insane with the new beast special and skills
I think you underrated sonya a bit, she is easily one of the best units on ARD right now.

@@ENEMii-IRLfirst, i wanted to say great video 👍. i guess it depends a lot on how much you're into AR defense. i'm not sure how you mean prone to aging. she's already outclassed by igrene as an AoE nuker in general, but only Sonya can fill her niche as both AoE nuker and self chipping to enable healer traps on ARD. I don't think we will get another AoE nuker who damages themselves anytime soon. Funnily she has gotten only stronger since release, especially recently with young emmeryn. But maybe you meant that you think a nerf for AoEs is likely coming soon?

I do think there is some value in self-chipping but it’s so niche I didn’t think too highly of it and you’re right that it comes down to how much we value AR-D. I just don’t value it that much relative to all the other use cases in the game and it’s far from a must have on AR-D anyways. I do agree with you though that Young Emmeryn made her even better, I just wish she had a better tome

Ganglöt was one i was interested in what they would do to her, and i was very disappointed. Rearmed units withoud PRF stuff are lame, the whole point is that only the reamred units can use prf stuff in combination with an rearmed weapon

Ganglot have access to Laguz Friend, and have a good Res, of couese her Axe is nor that good, but it can be changed for Thrima or even the Vulture Axe
But yeah her food is trash, and giving her Laguz would take a slot for a better unit with the skill like Brave Dimitri, or in the same categorie, Balthus for exemple or even Brave Tiki

Nah I still think plumeria is the best.
Going +1 in action economy isn’t actually that good unless there’s something a unit can do with that action. That’s why L;Ninian isn’t the best dancer because despite her dance being the only dance that is +1 in action economy, the extra action she gets isn’t useful, because she can’t use it to dance and has a hard time actually killing. (And she’s technically only as action + as a galeforce unit) so imo hortensia using Magic Shield isn’t anything game breaking, by its own mechanics one of the actions it gives you has to be a cast on an ally. The best thing it does for you is allow your unit extra mobility and a free assist cast, which is why it’s so good on Emmyryn, when she is the ultimate warp bot. So while I’m sure it’s good on hortensia, its main use would be a similar use to the positional staffs, to better move hortensia into more advantageous positions. I think the self-refreshment is really good on the chroms because they all have effectiveness weapons, and because they scale well. If they were just reposition bots they’d just be ok support.
For all the support she gives you, Hortensia isn’t a very good combat unit, Charmer is nothing special offensively, and she’s not going to kill anything with reasonable defenses, especially things with NCD, because she has absolutely no protection from anything.
altogether her most notable support effect is canto 1, everything else is just stat swings, and her debuffing has counters too.
Plumeria on the other hand, also gives stat swings, also boosts ally mobility (soaring echo and dancing in general) and is significantly more flexible due to being able to dance units as needed.
her re-armed is comparable (combat wise anyway) and she’s suited for Ploy, while Horty isn’t. Ploy on its own is more stat swing, exposure, and a counter to a few of the stronger buffs.
Maybe in enemy phase teams Horty is just better, but I think even in those cases Plumeria is still adequate.
And Plumeria isn’t the best dancer, I’d personally say it’s one of the attuned dancers, (peony does a lot of what Horty does, including give canto 1 to swaths of your army, but she’s a dancer too, so she’s better).
But I’d argue if those units make Plumeria irrelevant (which they don’t, you can have more than 1 dancer) then duo Robin blows hortensia out of the water, because hush spectrum is genuinely better than all of Hortensia’s collective debuffs, with her base B Robin also can give canto 1, and Robin self-refreshes every turn and has good combat too. And a strong duo skill when it’s usable.
Though that aside, I can see why hortensia is good, just imo she’s matchup dependent pure support, while Plumeria is always going to be good to have on the team, and a significant unit unless your entire team is dancers.
As always, you make some great points. I totally agree on the L!Ninian point, her combat isn’t as good as we’d like. And yeah, Plumeria’s a lot better combat wise than Hortensia. I think you’re right in the sense that Plumeria’s more universally useful, but I still think Hortensia’s more universally effective. I value canto support a lot, especially since that’s more unique than dancing and guidance support. I see where you’re coming from on Plumeria though, especially if you factor in Ploy she does a lot more in practice than on paper.

Due to being rearmed they will always be (marginally) useful. I mean, I like units like Ganglot and Ophelia because they don't have a pref skill wasting space as I just interested in foddering them.

Honestly I am a bit disappointed since I thought you would rank them based on a "fodder factory" perspective or at least have it as a parameter but having the whole ranking rely on their use as a unit alone is weird since it's really not the most important part of their identity as a unit type imo.

I did consider it but for example I wouldn’t even know how to rank Ganglot because she’s either S Tier if you build melee infantries or E Tier if you don’t. It really depends on how often you summon, what you summon for, how you build, what you build, etc, it would look so different person to person. I really love hearing what you think though, I’ll think on it for future lists!

@@ENEMii-IRLI get your point but I think some "objective" criteria are things like how good the arcane weapon itself is, how much "good" fodder can be duplicated, how many unit types can benefit from them and of course the viability of the unit itself should be taken into account but not the only thing. You should watch Joël / Fehology's take on it (even though it was released a few months ago and misses the newest ones)

That’s an awesome team haha I don’t know what modes you’re playing/your level of investment/the fodder you have etc so it’s hard to give tips but if you go into summoner duals and click the max favor button you can see the builds people are running for those units, usually that’s a great place to start!

Ngl the first half of this video was annoying to watch, just constant dogging on units. Woulda been more enjoyable if you just went by a different order or something and had a little more variation. Just constantly hearing ‘just not good’ and ‘worse and worse’ just because they’re not A tier or better. The change in tone from C to B is noticeable.
Hmm…I talked about the units in that order because that’s just the order of the tier list but I can see why you wouldn’t like it. I remember when I first made tier lists, I also thought about changing the order but I thought doing it in this order made sense since you always have a sense of comparison to what came before it. I love hearing what you think so I really appreciate your feedback, I’ll think on it some more! At the end of the day I hope you were able to enjoy the rest nonetheless, thanks for commenting 🙏
Part 2 Honestly I have an extreme bias for Eitr I love that she is Young Freyja she is so cute and adorable I think her weapon is really powerful and her A skill is really good Attuned Azura everything +9 Serge Effect with a Flash Effect which quite good and still makes skills like Serge Sparrow and Atk/Spd Flash blade seem weak in comparison she is a great Galeforce user and being cav Beast is good she was my only unit that could defeat Emblem Ike and Marth her only Problem is two thing she needs Canto like Kagero or Karla have and her a skill needs Divine Vein Effect, DC Beast Seal her problem for you is that she doesn't support which could easily be solved by a proper Vein Effect if she had something like a combo of Rattatoskr Vein and Flame Vein or Miasma Vein and spread it like winter edelgard she would be broken

A tier list of grail units would be dope ngl. But it would most likely be too long for a video, so the only other based option is ranking peony's alts based on how breedable they are.
I wouldn’t be against doing one for every grail. Like right now I’m ranking 60 fricken duos so long videos aren’t my issue lol. I’m just not sure if people would be interested but if a lot of people ask for it I might do all the grail units. Also I’m gonna pretend I didn’t see that last bit LMAOOOOOO

I think it would be an interesting change of pace to rank units that are normally ignored in favour of five stars. Although I wonder what would be the criteria at that point
Part 1 Honestly this is a good tier list and i personally believe that they are some classes that benefit from being Arcane like Hortensia other archetypes cannot without a multifactional premium weapon like Arcane Grima which really shows that is hold back by her Arcane Weapon because they had to limited so is not to broken and there are some characters that i personally disagree and some that i agree Ganglot doesn't have a unique skill is such a misses opportunity Lif they didn't want to make him stronger than his refine Mythics whichs sucks so they made on the same level and the Engage characters alfred and Alcryst really seamed they were made to foddered i mean alfred gaining 20 def might sound scary but loses 5 Spd so i just a tome against him and kill him no Prf no Dc just stat A skill is so mid nowdays and Alcryst is meant to be fodder for his A skill that is it Reinhardt when i saw his quad being locked in his Prf A skill than his Arcane made me laugh because if his Arcane just gave him they Ability to quad in his Arcane plus all the skills it had it would B Tier considering Ninja Weapon are getting extremely scary every year Chrom is not as horrible but yeah Lucina is far better Arcane so much that she is just going to get better with time because is just one broken A skill from being able a skill if only DC Atk Spd existed as well as AtkSpd link 4 and Def and Alarm were a thing oh wait they are plus her arcane weapon is insane Chrom takes advantage of those effects too too but just misses the fact that Lucina has the Speed and the Arcane to do so he has to wait an arcane weapon like lucinas but honestly it would probably be better to run Lucina instead she can use duo Y Robin Spanctrum effect and being danced by Attuned lucina really shows that she is a unit that will Evolve as we forth she should be S Tier because her Playstyle continues to be updated by units like Robin and even an engage version instead of completing with her can help her be better Guiniggagap is mid but at least she has one advantage she can get Flared Mirror and also she is mix of Yunuka and Ninja sanaki but without quad or Speed which seems to be the problem being a vanilla Arcane dagger means that with the right arcane she can do some kills that other units might find difficult also being colorless is not worst maybe she can be moved to B but she needs revaluation not the best but i believe she can get better
Next Ingrid and Grima are locked by the fact they need a Prf weapon because of the competitive but is still great but they both need an upgrate in their A skill like DC for Grima and a Piercing effect for Ingrid and they would definitely be Better but they are still good and Ingrid can still use Snap skills which upgrade her to A Tier since since she can use Soaring Echo as well so she can be pretty terrifying Grima though she has stats but she is just an archetype that needs premium weapons to survive even then she is still faces the fact that Brave Corrin will get a refine if we get premium weapons for Arcane characters though she has a chance because she will at best get it one year after corrin so she can be turned from decent to meta defining in a single night if they get Premium ones so they can be better so Ganglot Alfred Lif Reinhardt Alcryst Chrom and Gunnigaggap are justified and Hortensia Plumeria Tana are alright Lucina can be S Tier on her own Ingrid and Grima can be redeemed so we end up with units i Disagree Sonya is very good but you haven't concider the Possibility of the Close counter Infantry Seal because the momment they make it she just busted and she is infantry which means she can get access to a lot of effects she is meant to go and destroy and she is much better than the grand majority of Infantry mages even without CC she can access Attuned Azura and Peony and Canto 1 and plus 1 movement but getting to infantry CC can make her an S Tier and maybe S+++ If they give her a Premium weapon which honesty i hope not because she might is the closest to getting a Infantry Mage that would work perfect as an Infantry Far Saver which is terrifying to think of she just need to negate Piercing while gaining Piercing and give to her allies and Res Oriented Spurn 4 Far Save effect and she just pure Chaos as for Ophelia on one hand i love her and she can defeat everyone on the list she needs a lot of supprt to do it but on the other hand she is at top of E because she is a mage but removing that at she is even worst than Ganglot at least she can Use all of Infantry Melee skills and Alfred and Lif have access to canto Gambit 4 or might be able to run both if get near trace echo skills and both have Premium skills are good in a way but she gets nothing i would probably create an F tier she needs a Premium Weapon , Skill and still all Mid stated unlike any other unit on the list at least tried or succeeded to excell in some she is just unsaveable
