    Pro tip. If you never want the airline to lose your bag pack a firearm in it. Most airports hand walk luggage with a gun in it to and from the cargo hold of the plane. They don't like to take the chance of not being able to account for where a gun is.

    To avoid headache and unwonted scrutiny, DO NOT leave ammo in the magazine, pack it in the original manufactures box or an aftermarket container designed to store ammo. Do not dump them into a Ziplock bag. Every airline is different and sometimes they don't even know their own rules. Also lock the slide of your firearm back if possible and don't insert an empty mag into the firearm. This should eliminate any excused for anyone to give you trouble. Last make sure that if the box you're using has three lock holes, you have three locks on it Do not leave any lock points without a lock and make sure that once locked, the case cannot be opened more than 1/8 inch with the lock on it or they "may" say that case is insufficient. So I wouldn't use the hard case your gun came with since they are too flexible.

      @@terryspradling7453 TECHNICALLY IF IT HAS A DESIGNATED HOLE TO PLACE A LOCK YES!!! HOWEVER, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND JUST PAYING AROUND 50.00 FOR A DESIGNATED FIREARM SAFE SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR AIR TRAVEL!!! REMEMBER YOU WANT TO AVOID ANY SITUATION WERE THE TSA OR AIRLINES DEEMS IT NOT APPROPRIATE FOR TRAVEL!!! DO NOT STORE AMMO IN THE MAGAZINES!!! JUST LEAVE IT IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGE!!!! ALSO WHEN I TRAVEL JUST AS AN EXTRA SAFFY PRECAUTION, I ALWAYS PUT THE ORANGE SLIDE LOCK THAT EVERY FIREARM COMES WITH ON, JUST TO SHOW THAT IM MAKING EVERY POSSIBLE SAFTY MEASURE I CAN MAKE!!! DONT LOOSE YOUR KEYS ALWAYS KEEP ON YOU!!! SOMETIMES THE AIRLINE AGENTS WILL HAVE YOU OPEN YOUR CASE SO VISUALLY SEE THAT YOUR IN COMPLIANCE. ALSO IF YOUR CASE HAS 3 LOCK HOLES, USE THREE LOCKS. IF IT HAS 10 LOCK HOLES USE 10 LOCKS!!!! IF YOU HAVE THREE LOCK HOLES AND ONLY USE TWO, THAT CAN BE AN ISSUE. AND MAKE SURE THE CASE CANT BE PRIED OPEN AT ALL WITH FINGERS!!! AT ALL!!! AND MOST IMPORTANT MY FRIEND, “ALWAYS” KNOW THE GUN LAWS WERE YOU ARE TRAVELING TOO!!! STUDY THEM BEFORE YOU GO!! JUST BECAUSE YOUR LEGAL IN YOUR STATE DOES NOT MEAN ITS LEGAL AT YOUR DESTINATION!!

    Airline AND TSA don't know the rules. Yes, they wanted me to dump live ammunition in a public trashcan.

They tried at first to steal my gun cause there was pry makes all over the metal case that had a wire rope attached to the inside of my checked in luggag , it wasn’t the tsa it was the local Albany police who charged me with not having a license to own a gun in the state of New York and for not being a resident. I had to go get a lawyer from Albany NY, pay $4000 to get a federal weapons charge reduced to a mister meaner and a probation of good behavior in NY for 1 year. The "Unloaded" affidavit does NOT go on the inside of the firearm case if it's going to be stored within your checked luggage. The TSA is wrong on on this point. I've had numerous TSA officers tell me "Never open the firearm case in an airport!" Put the Unloaded affidavit on the outside of the box, secured with tape, and then close up your checked luggage. Opening the firearm case in an airport is a safety issue. I wish the TSA would get it's act together on what is the proper procedure. Videos like this are one if the reasons we don't trust the TSA. They usually tape it to the outside of the case if it’s a small pistol case inside a suite case.
      Tsa doesn’t need to see the card to regardless. Lol

    Well I haven't traveled by plane in over 10 years, and if I ever do again I'll make sure that I Insure my Firearm for 100,000.00 dollars and if you lose it then the airline is out 100,000.00 dollars???.

    • @LEVELGAZANOW
      @LEVELGAZANOW ปีที่แล้ว

      The airline is out $100,000? No, the airline would be out replacement value or whatever the contract of carriage stipulates. Your insurance company would be out $100,000.

    • @FirearmFanatic3006
      @FirearmFanatic3006 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s not how insurance works. Be insuring, say, $500 worth of guns for $100k you will be wasting a lot of money by buying $99,500 worth of unnecessary insurance. Insurance products of anytime will typically only pay up to the “actual cash value” of the item insured.

      From TSA's website: "Only the passenger should retain the key or combination to the lock unless TSA personnel request the key to open the firearm container to ensure compliance with TSA regulations."

    You need to show 3x major thing's,
    1x Firearms license, with weapons handing test green 💚 card,
    1x Diplomatic passport,
    1x Permission from both Govt/Military liaison, and Police granted certificate.
    ...and alot of Qs to answer at the terminals.
