The 3000 watt number is combined peak power handling capability of the woofers and has nothing to do with the output power of the system. I recommend professional installation for Pioneer products. If you want to do this work yourself, please note: The Pioneer TS-WX1220AH needs a direct power wire connection to the vehicle's battery. I recommend the use of an amplifier wiring kit. I recommend a 12 gauge wire kit or thicker wire for best performance with this product. Many are available. And to use 12 gauge wire or thicker for the power wire. Always use the same gauge wire for both the power and ground wires. This is typically included with an amplifier install kit. You don't need to ground directly to the battery. You can ground to a clean connection of metal in the body or frame of the vehicle. You'll also need a way to send audio signal to the Pioneer TS-WX1220AH amplifier. If you are sending the signal from the in-dash receiver, you'll need RCA cables long enough to reach from the back of the receiver to the subwoofer. These are usually 10-15 feet or so in length. Or, you'll need a stretch of wire to go from a rear speaker to the subwoofer and use the speaker level input option on the subwoofer. You'll need a length of wire to automatically switch the subwoofer on and off with the vehicle. This is typically done with the Blue/white wire on the back of your Pioneer in-dash receiver. The Pioneer TS-WX1220AH has it's own line out converter built in. You don't need to add one. You can simply cut off the RCA connections on the Signal Input wire harness for the TS-WX1220AH. Then use the positive and negative wires to connect directly to the speaker leads in the vehicle. Your car stereo has a right and a left channel. By definition, that's stereo. If you want to add a center channel, the first thing to do is ask yourself, why do you want a center channel? If you watch multi-channel movies and there is a dialog channel that would be played by a center channel, and not the right or the left speaker, that will require an external multi-channel processor / amplifier. If you are looking for a better stereo image, I recommend changing your speaker placement. Better speaker placement in the vehicle, can deliver a strong clear stereo image and then there is no need for a center channel.
