Since you're the only who actually asked nicely: 1. Because I heard tons of Brazilian music while I was in Porto, so there seems to be a good amount of cross-cultural pollination between Portugal and Brazil. So to me it didn't seem weird to play the music I was hearing all around me during the trip. 2. Because independent content creators like me rely on the music that's freely available on royalty-free music sites. There were zero tracks available from Portugese artists, only Brazilian ones. 3. Because I mostly go for the vibe of the songs and am not always trying to country-match. I've featured Korean K-pop tracks in videos about Italy, Swedish songs in videos about Jamaica, flamenco music in tracks about New York, etc. I don't think you have to be exactly match-matchy all the time.
@@TopFlightFamilywhat you called sausage in the puca-pau is actually chorizo. As a Brazilian, I think the Portuguese food is one of the most underrated things ever. Once you try Francesinha, Bolinho de Bacalhau and Pasteis de Nata, you cannot go back.
Portugal seems like such a chill country. From the outside at least. Every time I watch these tours the Portuguese people and environment give off such a relaxed vibe.
It usually is like that, we have our moments like every country but portuguese people are rly chill, we will be living ourlife without being in your face and if you do wanna talk to us... we are ready befriend you for life xD If you want to be left alone we are good at that and if you want to talk we wont shut up ever and probably pay you dinner-

This video made me soooo hungry! But most of all I could not get over how much your sister Iris reminded me of Ella. Such a resemblance! Beautiful. Genetics are so amazing.
Hi, I really enjoyed your video, you tasted most of the typical foods from Porto. The only critique I have is the music - you chose a brazilian song instead of Portuguese. Other than that, it was a great video!
Great video. Great narration. Looked like you were having so much fun. I wish I was younger so I can visit Portugal and enjoy the food like you did. I did enjoy seeing your experience and can imagine being there myself. Thank you for sharing.
Man I'm so hungry right now!! 😆😆 What's up Top Flight Family! and hello to your sisters!! Thanks for sharing this culinary opus! My goodness, I thought you guys ate good in Italy! Porto is now in the top 5 places to get your eat on! Those dishes looked amazing but me being a seafood lover the last spot La Rera had some delish seafood, especially the octopus! And I have to also add that I've not seen a more beautiful group of sisters ever!😊 It's a very Porky kind of Pork, and your sisters 1-3 word critiques are hilarious. So thank you guys for another amazing video and I'll see you guys on the next adventure! Peace & Blessings
I love chicks that are not picky, but adventurous eaters. Heading back to Northern Portugal next week to continue my cooks tour for a couple of months. I like that you show a variety of dishes and baked goods so I can vicariously sample them now and order them later. Obrigado ladies.
So, about the wine. There's actually a distinction between "verde" and "maduro". The nomenclature depends on the region where you can find the vineyard (since that influences the vine variety). Then, both verde and maduro wines can have different categories, those being branco (white), tinto (red) and rosé. Some Portuguese wines are sparkly, indeed, similar to Champagne or Lambrusco, but most are just a little fizzy
I am a new subscriber from Australia, I think Portugal is beautiful, the architecture is so pretty and the food looks delicious. All you sisters look so much a like, what nationality are you ladies?
Na rua da Cedofeita, try "as Tres Marias". The place is originaly not a restaurant but they prepare for you a plate of meats, alheiras, Cheeseand other things. The different jams. And with a glass or bottle of wine it is great

As a Portuguese person I thank you for showing my country (north) in culinary terms, and I am glad that you liked the food, only con, the background music is Brazilian not Portuguese, nice culture but different (other continent entirely). Dig a little more deeper next time, we have a very rich culture in music also. Ad you are right, there is a lack of seated places in Mercado do Bolhão, what a shame... Keep up the adventures.
so, about Ham :) the cheaper one is made out of a white skin pig (the ordinary pink pig that can be from several races) , and the fancier more expensive one if from a black skin pig, the black skin pig meat has more fat spread throughout the muscle that's why it has a different and far better taste, and yeah it's way more expensive, if you buy a full ham it will cost you around 10x more than a white pig ham. the black pigs are raised in a total different way, they live for around 2 years in huge farms basically in the wild and they feed mostly on acorn, these have a lot of oils so that's why the meat has all that fat
Hey, no shame on my end for sitting on this super clear floor! If we had some of those in Toronto, I'd do the same more often! Just curious though, how did you get to do it so fancy with actual wine glasses?? 😂
It was good but the background music is Brazilian. You could have chosen some native European Portuguese music but not fado (invented in the 18th century). Traditional Music that is thousands of years old from northern Portugal, etc...
Glad you and your sisters enjoyed Portuguese food. Oily seasoned sauces and hints of cumin and spices is just the tip of the iceberg 😅 most dishes go well with rice. I think Asian people will understand and appreciate our cuisine
I'm Portuguese, I never seen any native Portuguese people use cumin in their dishes. In regards to sauces, our main sauce is a very good quality of extra virgin olive oil, white wine vinegar and a good quality of rock salt. This is the the traditional salad sauce. Portuguese food is simple but we use a very good quality of fresh ingredients!
Ok Bacalhau à Bras with that kind of potato's is a crime those are comercial fries the real deal is made with very thin slices from fresh potato's , and the ham is over priced even if is the very best

What "street food" mean?
Hashbrawn wtf 😂😂😂 the best prosuito ham in the world is from the black pig from Portugal and Spain and the most expensive
The pastel de nata looked burnt also you need to put some cinnamon on it
Simple remove the thin burnt layer.
Not the best place to eat Francesinha. Very hyped but not the best place.
A great experience. But I don't do eating on the public floor.
Stupid comment this one :(
Mas isso não é comida de rua, comida de rua são as rulotes de comida que vendem cachorros quentes ,hambúrgueres, bifanas
alara? the name is Alheira , made from low quality pork parts smoked over fire
and francesinha is made to be eaten fom the ends to the center ...... and the fried egg was missing
did you know ...... Bifana in bread was made for the workers that wated a cheep food ....
