What killed the Indians momentum was the top of their order going 3 up, 3 down against an exhausted Chapman - throwing sliders, no less - in the 9th. Before the rain delay. But speaking of the rain delay, weren't the Indians allowed to psyche themselves up too, like the Cubs did?

Chapman's pitch velocity and Davis' result
    1) 100 mph - ball

    4) 101 mph - ball

This is one of those games where, yes, it’s exciting even on TH-cam, but you HAD to be there to understand how insane this was in real time.
Game 7 of WS, Cleveland down 3 vs. Chapman - it’s easy to forget how dominant Chapman was that year. He was UNHITTABLE. First the Guyer at bat, then light hitting Rajai Davis flinging a rope into the first deck in left. I’m not a Cleveland or a Chicago fan but I ran out into the street watching this live because it was so unbelievable.

Man, as a Die Hard Cubs fan who never actually believed in “curses”, this was one of the lowest points in my life. For the Cubs to come back in a series they had every right to lose, dominate the most important game in your life for 8 innings, and to see it all crashing down in just 1 half inning, 1 home run, unbelievable. To say I was devastated after this home run doesn’t do it justice. Only long time suffering Cubs fans that had to sit through constant failure and choking in the playoffs can truly understand how bad this moment made us feel.

I remember being at my friend's house watching this on a 19 inch TV. His mom told us to keep it down because she had to work in the morning. My goodness did we wake her up in the room over after he smacked that ball into left! I couldn't believe it! What a great memory, one of the most intense at bats I will probably ever see. Literally got to see the movie "Major League" come true.
    Some crazy cool facts
    1. In the movie "Major League" Pedro Cerrano hit a home run to left field.
    2. During the movie scene there was a runner on second.
    3. In the movie it was against the Yankees. Aroldis Chapman started the season playing for the Yankees.
    4. Charlie Sheen and Dennis Haysbert (Pedro Cerrano) were at the ballpark for game 7.
    5. Davis was 3-20 in the world series batting a .150
    6. Chapman is one of the greatest closers in the MLB. The speed on his pitches is incredible! 2:57 the look on Chapman's face is just priceless!
It was literally meant to be what a surreal moment for every Cleveland fan!

What Rajai Davis did here was so impressive. Two outs, bottom of the 8th, down 2 runs with a guy on second in Game 7 of WS. Goes up against the best closer in the game that intimidates batters by throwing some scorching heat that is rarely ever seen by any pitcher. Not a great hitter, decides hes just gonna choke up on the bat and keep fighting and fighting and fighting. Eventually Chapman makes a mistake and he takes him yard with one of the most electric HRs in the history of baseball. Unreal
