Management styles. Do you know what kind of management style you are? Or better yet, how you like to be managed?
While project managers aren't directly responsible for the team's professional growth, they still can have a large impact on how team members work and their overall efficiency.
Here is a glance into the five different types of management styles that we will explore: Results-Based, Democratic, Transformational, Servant Leader, and Transactional.

I can see why a servant leader is the best for PMs. I am always trying my best to keep my team happy and motivated so our goals get accomplished.

got asked to describe my ideal management style in an interview one time and didn't really know how to answer the question. This makes much more sense after watch this video!
I see myself as a hybrid leader, a mixture of the first 3-4 types. I can see myself saying "I dont care how you do it, as long as it gets done" and "You got a easier faster way to do it? Let me hear it, as long as the quality of the end product isn't down, go for it" and being their supporter when they need it. Have a laugh, be there for them for the good and bad days, but also give them a kick in the pants if they need one.
I'm generally result oriented, but I'll try my hands at the transformational approach.

I am more of a combination of Democratic and Servant Leader with some Transformational. By taking an introductory Project Manager course, I am definitely outside of my comfort zone. So, I could lead by example in this regard while being a Servant Leader and Democratic..
