Got requests for a new backing track? Let me know in the comments below! Feel free to post video responses of yourself improvising over this track.
Metal Guitar Stuff is the personal TH-cam channel of the lead guitarist and composer of SHADOWMIND. On this channel I post mostly metal related backing tracks, but also other videos like cover songs, tutorials, guitar lessons and so on. I have been teaching guitar for several years and produced numerous albums for my own band and other bands. I have been playing guitar since 2007.
I own everything in my backing track / instructional / original song videos, including the audio recordings, editing and photography used. All software used has been purchased legally.

dude thank you, explained simple asf
Damn that was way easier than I could've expected
Taught me more in 1 min than all those other tutorials on midi could in 16 mins
I have been struggling with this for weeks, and your video just saved me!!!
The right click and drag just saved me ive been manually copying every note LMAO so fun one blast parts with complex fills 😂
This is so well explained and shown. What a great tutorial. Thank you!!
This helped me so much. Thank you! I’ve been trying to figure out how to make more customized sequences with ezdrummer forever and this answered all my questions in less than 2mins. Ima be pumpin out all kinds of trash now 😎.
with 16th or 8th patterns I also change the velocities to for example 120-100-110-100-etc. After that I randomize the velocity again and dequantize it a bit to make it sound more humanlike.
This vid convinced me to get it
Somehow better than all the tutorials I’ve watched so far
Dude thank u..... im new to all this but that reàlly helps
THANK U VERY MUCH
Wow pretty fast in reaper man haha very good 👍🏼
Question, why use 32 bit over 64 bit? Especially for something like superior drummer which is heavy on the resource usage? 64bit can use more of your ram and cpu.
Cool stuff
Really helpful!
Thanks dude
Wow short and simple
ez af thx!
Lets hope part 2 has individual bus routing

Drummers: Spend thousands of dollars and years practicing playing drums
Guy with computer:
Great thanks but what does one do when you click on "FX" and Superior Drummer 3 doesn't appear among the vst options?
That means Reaper cannot find superior drummer dll file. Go to preferences - vst - and make it scan the folder where your dll file is located.
@@metalguitarstuff Thank you mate, very helpful! Rock on in The Cult- Electric style!
Scan for new plugins option can be helpful
Question. Whenever I do drum covers , how would I avoid copyright while doing metal songs ?
Put in the description "All rights belong to their respective owners" or something like that
I'd recommend SP3's grid editor over Reaper's keyboard layout.
It's much faster, and you can easily copy/paste different drum parts to streamline tracking.
i cant replicate what you did there with the empty midi tra. cna someone help pls
😎
do you have all of SD3 installed? cause the cymbals arent that quiet if you download all the extra mics
do you know how to install all of SD3 (the sound libraries only)? To me it says I have no libraries installed. I did install the original SD3 preset and only a small amount of the drums worked, and the ones that did sounded like shit (not even drums).
how do I get superior drummer 3?
can u use this plugin in fl studio
yes
Wish it was that easy. I can’t even get it to “find my files”
How about cubase ?
as long as it's 64bit vst, it would work in cubase
They dont exist
