After stripe restoration, is it okay to keep the stripes exposed as you polish the rest of the car, or is it advisable to mask off the stripes when color correcting? Thanks.
if the stripes were matte or satin would you still be able to do this? or would it ruin the material/finish. Also can you clay bar stripes or would it marr it?
That looks nice. I have white stripes on my car but now are very dull and are very rough to the touch but didn't really believe you can restore them that much until i saw this video. Now i am a bit more confident. I hope they detailer i am going to give it to work on can restore them so at they are very close to how shiny they were when i got the car. The car is a 2010 model year so i don't know if i should get a ceracoat for 300€ or the 1K nano-sealant they offer from Koch-Chemie for 180€. I budgeted 1000€ for the paint resortation including preperation which costs me 500€.
how to fix the color under the decal? i got this used car. There was a decal on the cargo door. It's probably been there for years. When i remove the decal, the paint under it looks much newer, slightly whiter than the rest of the paint on the whole car.
Hi Brian, I'm looking a Centennial Edition Corvette which has black strips down the center of the car. The strips I would describe as not glossy and meant to be barely seen in contrast to the paint, which is a Carbon Flash Metallic. There are some scratch in these strips toward the front of the hood. Is it possible to get these out. Thank you in advance.
I have a 2010 Dodge Challenger RT Classic with OEM (3M) black matte RT stripes. The vehicle has been garage kept for the last 8 years. I have never applied anything to them and not sure what to use at any rate. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks.
Also did you choose the 3D product because it contains less abrasives and might be better for vinyl stripes. Would you recommend using Meguiar ultimate polish also?
Is it possible to restore labels? My mitsubishi eclipse has a label inside the engine bay for the VIN, Engine Type, Color Codes etc. but it is very faint now.
Brian, I have a major issue I was hit at Walmart by a jerk who didn't leave info. I was renting a u-haul pick up covered in decals. This @@$?0(# scratched my decal. What can I do
Hey Brian. My 2 son's have expensive fishing boats and want them polished up. The thing I noticed is that these new boats are not painted much, but have giant decals on them instead. Is it safe to polish these decals like automobiles, or do I need to buy fancy marine polishes?
My Wrangler has a matte black hood decal and it became bluish, can it be restored/enhanced with this method? I wonder since it's matte and not shiny like the ones in the video.
You can lightly exfoliate them with a cleaner polish and black foam application pad. Angelwax Perfect Polish is recommended. Coat them afterwards with Gyeon Matte Coating. It is quicker to replace them… but if you want to keep the original, may be worth the time and effort.
Brian is this your same process on a matte black vinyl stripe like what comes on Dodge Challenger RT’s. Would like to know what to put on the for protection or if any ceramic coating could be applied?
Look at my channel and observe the condition of my vinyl wood grain. On the side of the truck separating the two tone paint. Is it possible to restore this? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this truck is 100% original.
Is there a way to fill in or repair cracks in vinyl?
Thanks, what Mini wants for new stripes is crazy

Angelwax Perfect Polish is more of a cleaner and works for me on satin decals...but I wonder why it is turning blue.
Apex Detail yeah i wonder that too, and it appeared all of a sudden and it is very horrible, can i send you a picture?
Thanks for the quick reply

Doubt you’ll reply but what are your thoughts on refreshing a 2013 Raptor decals that are mat black and faded… seems like replacement is the only way
