Oh Rachel you never fail to inspire me! I must apologize for not letting you know sooner that I did receive my lovely Flower Frog.. I was so excited when it came. It has a place of honor on my hutch along with your sweet note .. I’ll have it on my window sill next week with some flowers..I was gifted a lovely small ceramic planter that actually was made to hang on the wall.. its dark green and I hung it by my front door.. it looks so cute against our dark red brick and it was perfect for Ivy!
Yes I’ve learned that a number of flowers don’t like too much water.. another one being Geraniums.. took me awhile to figure that out. Your hall bathroom is very nice.. that oval window is stunning! ..I’ve been working on some closets also.. a daunting task but so rewarding when thinned down and it’s amazing the peace I feel when it’s done. Thanks for another lovely, calming video.

As I listen to you, I am folding laundry, at 1:48 in the morning. Everyone in the house is asleep except me. This is a common situation for me. I am 75 years old this year and I live in a four generation home, minus one. Two of my granddaughters live with me and my husband, plus , one of them is pregnant and has a two year old. The girls mother, my daughter, died several years ago at the age of 44. So we are four generations, minus one. As I am folding I am thinking of the pleasure I get from seeing my fresh laundry folded neatly in the drawer. The sight of sheets and blankets in my linen cabinets , stacked neatly or resting inside a blanket holder gives me joy. My great granddaughter’s clean clothes excites me. So yes, many of us get great satisfaction from doing the ordinary things of life!

I agree. Those out there with a good man you call husband, stop complaining. I am sick of women complaining about their husbands.
I am currently waiting for God to send a husband my way. I don't care how many messes he creates, I will gladly clean up. He will not be starved of affection (I will leave it there). I have been single for so long, and I have learned to walk with God. I know he has a particular man he intended to be my husband.
Thankyou for such a lovely video. I have been a homemaker for 42 years and have never grown tired of it. Love everything I do and feel it is a privilege and a gift from God.

Attitude and perspective sure can alter one’s outlook on life. We are indeed blessed beyond measure if we have a family to wash clothes for and clean up after. I’m now a grandma, but looking back I truly enjoyed our daughters when they were young. Now we are all in a different phase of life. Practicing gratitude sure helps one feel content.

What a nice gift from your friend. I love English ivy too! The Delft blue pot with the windmill reminds me how much I have always enjoyed the sweet Harlequin romances Betty Neels wrote. They often featured Dutch doctors as the romantic lead.

When I saw your fabrics, I had to smile at your beautiful organization. I love sewing but find myself wanting to have better fabric for quilts. Most fabrics I own are lesser quality and thrifted. I love quilting and would love to see a video about your quilting. Seeing some of the quilts you create or pillows maybe would be so wonderful.

Yes, having a mess means there is someone there with you. What a blessing, especially to those of us who live alone. My Jim has been gone 23 years now. All your little touches in the kitchen just speak to me. Blue and white, that gorgeous copper faucet., art, the little lamp with the black shades. Its just such a cozy space, that it calls you to make something yummy and delicious smelling , to fill your home. Can you tell me what is a puffy quiche? I am intrigued, since quiche is one of my all time favorite things to make . I have tea dyed everything from doileys to flags to pillow cases, as I love the antique look.

Your Ivy Plants look BEAUTIFUL!!! Just recently, i needed to Rethink my Kitchen Area by my Sink. I Knew i needed to make it a Brighter & Cheerier area. So i ended up finding a BEAUTIFUL Green Glass Soap Dish Bottle along with a little Marble Dish and a Natural Color Scrub Brush. Who would have thought, that something that small could put such a BIG SMILE 😁 on my face! My Kitchen instantly felt more "Welcoming" to wash Dishes? 😊😀. I hope you have a lovely weekend!! My Husband is throwing me a Birthday Party with all Our Friends for Lunch tomorrow 💚💚. Im SO looking forward to seeing everyone!! 🎂🎉🥳

This was a nice video but made me a little sad as the Lord didn't give me a family. Keep an eye on your ivy. I had one in an indoor trellis that climbed the wall behind the trellis and damaged the drywall. They can be little stinkers!

Like you, I love bringing beauty into the every day. I could listen in on and talk about this all day :). I also love pondering on the purpose of beauty and how the Lord uses it to draw my heart to Him, and draw praise from my lips. I wish you could see the single rose I cut this morning, now sitting next to my kitchen sink in a vintage vase. The colors, deep pink meeting sunny yellow, are magnificent!
