Can you provide a more in-depth example of the dissertation process? Do you create your own hypothesis and then have to go and complete research through surveys, etc??
I like your humble ideas. You are educating us wisely. Please I have been asking myself about the MSN and MAN. In UK and other countries masters of arts is becoming common but I haven't seen it in US. What is your advice to MAN holder who wish to relocate in US?
Sir can you please tell us how to pursue phd nursing from USA and which one is the best university and if someone from another country comes to pursue phd from USA do they get job in teaching profession there itself or not
Thank you for this video! I recently graduated with my DNP and I’m working in Women’s Health as a FNP but am interested in a PhD. There aren’t many schools that offer/have DNP to PhD route. How did you choose your program? And how long did it take you to complete it since you already had your DNP?
Congrats Doc! So, I had my eye on a couple of programs, but the Indiana University of Pennsylvania had an excellent immersion program where we met off campus in Harrisburg twice per semester for 4 days each time. It was a great experience. Great cohort, we all still keep in contact with one another. Cant get that through an online program. Unfortunately since Covid I think even the IUP program has gone online, but I could be wrong. I had 36 credit hours plus dissertation to complete the DNP to PhD. Started in summer 2017, defended dissertation in spring 2021. Excellent faculty there too. Best wishes!
Hi, Will! I just started an EM residency for APPs. I'm also supposed to start a PhD program in a month. I'm trying to assess whether doing both is doable. After watching your video, I feel like it's gonna be impossible... Do you have any advice?
Bob, you're the man! I worked full time, but FT for me is 1150 hrs/yr, so it was doable to complete the PhD. I'm sure your residency will have a pretty heavy didactic requirement. My fellows have a ton of reading and prep before our Wednesday conference with the physician residents every week. They have a tough time keeping up just with the fellowship work. You're definitely taking on a lot! Best wishes!

Can you speak to any experiences that you or someone else may have had about going to PhD program while working as a nurse
Thanks alot for the informative and helpful video.
Thank you! I should make another video with a little more detail on what to expect should you go down that road.
Thank you so much for this.
You are so welcome!
You’re inspiring me to get a PhD

Great content. I would like to know how long it takes to finish the program assuming I will be working hard to finish
