    Looks good, Dude. Cleaned up the covers on my daughter's '12 Civic. Gonna paint them this weekend. I think the little "paint booth" you have is the key. I tried doing one outside the other day and the coverage was uneven.

    I took my Peugeot 207 to the car wash and the guy ruined the wheel trims with the power jet washer, this is great, I've got my spray paint just waiting for a warm day , it's 14° today in Manchester UK. ❄️

    I just did this on my '95 Taurus. I like this color better than the gray/silver I used. I may lightly sand surface and use this paint.

    If there are areas that you can't reach...... such as little crevices.... I save my old toothbrushes and I mash and wrap steel wool into the toothbrush and then scrape away in the hard to reach places.

    Great job, man. I just have a quick question. I used the same paint and used one can for all four of the hubcaps, two coating for each. Now it looks like the color is not permanently stick on the caps! I checked after 10 hours of doing the job. Does it require sunlight to dry up or how long should I wait?

    • @MrRolloTomasi
      @MrRolloTomasi ปีที่แล้ว

      Really late reply, but sanding the finish with 600 grit sandpaper (or equivalent "grit" of a ScotchBrite pad) + priming may have provided better results in your situation. The lack of adhesion could also have been due to environmental factors, e.g., ambient temperature, humidity, wind. The finish paint product usually has recommendations for the optimal prep procedure and application environment.

      That's downright balmy up here. We're expecting snow on Sunday. We have three seasons in Canada dot-dot. Paying outrageous taxes, winter and Road repairs to fix the holes and cracks as a result of the snow and ice.

    • @MrRolloTomasi
      @MrRolloTomasi ปีที่แล้ว

      @Semper Fidelis @PeanutButterMan, I used to live in GA, but now I'm in Central New York, a +/- 4 hr drive from Canada. This year was unusual for not having snow in October, but it met expectations for snow in mid-April. Being GA-born, 73º F in March is downright comfortable. After living up here a few years I wore a light jacket & a t-shirt when it was 45 - 50º down there. While it's not south Texas 🥵, I remember GA summers when it felt like my head burst into flame as soon as I stepped outside.

    Did you have an issue where if you leave it on the sun it softens the paint and makes it sticky again? I painted a few car parts like the gas door and it came out beautiful. I left it to dry for a while week in the garage and than took it out side to install it but something came that I lefted out side in the sun for a few hours and when I went to grab it it was sticky and soft.

    • @tongo117
