I've binge about 60 episodes so far, and this is the first time I solved all puzzles in the vid. To be fair, I already knew the second one, but I'm still counting it!!
The first one was really easy. At first I thought the first symbol was an M, and that it either spelled out a word or just went alphabetically. Then I tried to see if it worked numerically and it just hit me that they're mirror images or 1,2,3... You can't fool me this time Brushwood
Nevermind. You got me on the second one
@@poisonspiders2300 I watched these videos like 5-7 years ago, and I still remember lots of them when they come up, I just cant think of them alone. So I feel like if I was tested I would do very well ;)
I love how you are so enthusiastic. Good vibes.
IAm Dylan Thanks!
+Scam School Wow! It's amazing to see you reply to comments to videos from ages ago.
Lololololol That is the first puzzle That i know before the end
+robin nabben well done!
+robin nabben Yeah! I saw the first one right away, too
I actually saw this on the Simpsons once. Regardless, you have to be a bit of a dumbfuck to not get it just by looking at it
Me too
I believe it was on an old scam school episode
Any Simpsons mega fan would get the first one instantly... Poor Lisa XD
Yes!
Please explain
Paused it....Solved it! Like a boss!
Brian Brushwood is a stand up guy, loving family man, and treats friends and fans with respect. Sometimes he even remembers my name when I say hi to him :P
That AHA moment at 4:17 right before the break when I saw the trick, awesome. Well played sir.
Did anyone else notice that the couple (mostly the woman) were huge airheads? You could see the frustration in Brian's face, lmao.
lioneyexp Must you be so rude? I mean seriously, if people could control how intelligent they were, giving a logical basis to your criticism, neither you nor anyone else would be special in a any meaningful way.
Kelby Brewer Why take it so personally if you're the one pointing out the fact that IQ is an immutable fact and not a character trait. Stating an immutable fact is not the same thing as an insult. The fact that they're not "the thinking type", just is. That's not rude. If he said "these fucking people are retards!" Then I'd totally agree with you, but that's patently not the approach that we see.
I was so proud of my self' when I got this one in literally 3 seconds 😂 yasss
The second was a devilishly cleaver reskin of one I've been pulling for years and totally got me. Reinvented the wheel and ran me over with it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks, man.
Is it me, or the second one is finite? I mean that after a number of line, the answer is always the same. Ex:
24132231
14233221
14233221
etc...
Correct me if I'm wrong
WhollyMax
14233221
14233221
yes sir you are correct that puzzle is lame
You are correct! The 13th number is eternally repetitive. Interesting, isn't it?
this is the one I know ^
Your sequence and his are different starting on the 5th line.
1231 is correct because there was one 2 and three 1's on the line above it.
Yours is referring to reading each part separately. One one followed by one two followed by two ones.
@@Wanderlust1972 It isn't lame, it's interesting.
First one was quite easy, I was so close to the second one, but I just couldn't.
The thing was 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 the answer 9
Easy peasy
Thanks, man! Glad you dig 'em.
glad you liked it!
i genuinly got the second one
congrats!
+Scam School it's 2 9s stick together I promise I did not cheat
I'm gonna go trick my math teacher with these.
Simpsons Did It
Wierdly, this is a South Park reference
Brian I just want you to know that I always watch your commercial breaks, no skipping, and enjoy them.
I loved this one!
Figured the first puzzle with you drew the first symbol. The second puzzle got me good, I enjoyed it.
Ah got the second when you said a description of the line above it. This is a pretty well camouflaged as a Pascal Triangle, I salute you Brian
I was never describing it left to right. I was describing the quantity of each numeral, always starting with the highest value and ending with the lowest value.
After meeting me all of one time, Brian Brushwood offered me crash space at his place if I wanted to go to SxSW. And he meant it. So I stayed there, along with some other really awesome people. True story. He's a genuinely great guy.
Love these puzzles, figured out second one in a moment.
Great new episode!
Oh man, that second one pissed me off haha. I was a math major in college so I was trying all these different things and nothing was coming together. Well played, Brushwood.
thanks a lot for that. It means a lot to me.
Figured out the first one, second one legit fooled me. Love it.
Big fan @shwood... Watch the sow all the time... Figured out the the first puzzle fairly quickly as I noticed the number pattern! Lol
Tristan Jones right on!! Thanks, man.
the look and say sequence! recognized this one immediately from the third number
I always started the description with the highest-value number, then worked my way down.
"Lines and curves... that's good..."
I lol'd
second riddle, frickin' brilliant. I paused for 4 minutes trying to figure it out. bravo
Love the belt buckle, Brushwood!!!
Wow the special code is freaking awesome !!!!
Dude!! Your a boss Brian!!
First puzzle was easy but I loved the second one, need more like that
I love this stuff
Genuinely got the first one, had my brain blown with the second.
I personally like these videos better than your card trick videos for scamschool, the likelihood of you having something to write with is much higher than to have a deck of cards on the off hand. Also, you could just decide that you are running low on cash, and break out one of these puzzles without them seeing any previous intention. Bravo!
I am very, very proud of myself for getting the second one. As I was re-writing it and double checking my work, I saw the pattern.
Bummer! I'm surprised that you've already seen both of them... I'll make it up to you.
the first riddle or pattern Ive seen already so I knew it immediately
I was able to figure out the second one... after you said that each line was a discription of the one above... Can't wait to bust some of these out in April when I turn 21 :D
this isn't the end Brian. .. I'll get you next time!!!! and by get, I mean solve your riddles fully before the end...
paused the second one thinking I saw something and only took me a minute to figure out. first one of your tricks I've been able to figure out xD
Brian Brushwood is one of the most kind and caring individuals out there, at or exceeding Canadian levels of kindness. In fact, his level of kindness might exceed that of your average Canadian citizen. Saving puppies, kittens, and protecting us from the magic of the evil Lord Voldemort.
[x] Canadian-level kidness
[x] All around nice guy
[x] Kick-ass, life-saving magic
Revisiting my favorite videos
The first one I got, but then I saw it on The Simpsons. The second one blew my mind when you gave the answer. Thank you .
this week on scam school: best card trick ever
Brian Brushwood saves puppies, writes amazing books, and has excellent taste in music
I once saw Brian Brushwood teach a penguin to fly. Then he nursed a baby bird back to health.
Good...I also solved the second one in less than a minute...I love Brian's puzzles... :)
Thank you for reminding me. I knew I saw that puzzle somewhere before.
Got both quickly :)
Brian helped me solve the second one when the guy said "clearly you have to add..." and he laughed, then i realized it had absolutely no math.
Omg I actually got the solution as soon as they put the code on the screen. This is the first scam school puzzle I've solved myself...finally...
Brian Brushwood single-handedly saved my Grandpa from a burning building.
I'm so happy I actually got one of the puzzles correct for once. First puzzle solved by autumn.
It will gradually become harder to have the first post in your own scam videos if you keep making them more awesome, Brian.
(Also, the fact that you have good hair also plays a role.)
I saw the first right away. I've never been more proud
Got the first puzzle almost instantly as I was counting how many patterns there were, the second puzzle almost gave up after five minutes and it just hit me, :)
First one is super easy but second one took some time, awesome video man
Really good tricks everyone loves me when I show them
The first one stumped me, but I got the second one as soon as you showed it
Wow! so cool! great video brain!
BB is the greatest guy in the world. Would happily give one of his kidneys to every Twitter follower if he could, or at least get everyone to agree to a sharing rotation. He also gave a lung to my puppy, and that was just as a chew toy when it board.
All of these were so easy, but I've seen them before!
Thought he saved a puppy for the six year old. Man, you'd think the internet would fact check itself..
Got it straight away - it's two number '9's back to back.
what are you talking about. Brian Brushwood saves puppies and cure cancer. He can't be that bad.
Awesome!
Brian Brushwood is my hero!
TOTALLY FIGURED THAT FIRST ONE OUT
Figured it out
Yes!! I got both of them!!
Both of the puzzles was much easier then the previous puzzles!!
look and say sequence, nice!
now THAT's a brilliant comment. Well played, sir.
The 2nd puzzle is a basic data compression technique, which is only effective if you have a large number of the same digit in a row. The technique preserves order though, so it would be 1, 11, 21, 1211, 111221, 312211, 13112221, 1113213211... and you never get a digit higher than 3... so geeking out right now...
you are awesome i love your vids i have used these to trick my family.
I got the first one about 5 seconds before the ad. I just thought "he asked if they were good at numbers." Then i saw it. And i'm going to try these on my math teacher
I did! I also namechecked "zanzibar."
I drew the half numbers in school and one person immediately said the answer when he walked in... He must be subscribed to scamschool thanks bro;
I knew the first one before he finished with the 3's.
Stargate SG-1 finally pays off! Reflection!
it is fun watching people struggle knowing the answer ahead of time
same with the second one
Awesomeness!
The first thing I did was count how many symbols were drawn and as I was counting it made it easy to see that those symbols were just the numbers and their mirror image side by side lol.
I got the first one instantly. The second one I more or less got as I knew not to over-think it or do maths.
I never really liked scams or scamming people, but then I watched this episode of scam school and I am hooked. I even bought both of Mr. Brushwood's ebooks jut now. He's that awesome. Even more awesome than Blackwater by the Doobie Brothers. Impossible, you say? The Doobie brothers never saved a puppy from a zombie Hitler. Mr. Brushwood has. Twice.
Got 'em both.
yes! figuered out the second one in about ten seconds after writeing it down, i feel like a genious now ^^
I was adding stuff up in the last one but then I saw the answer and was like "wow, that was really simple"
Brian Brushwood was hung up on me when I called into his show. That's about the worst thing this living saint has ever done.
The first one i have seen before. So it was easy.
"Get a hair cut and get a real job!" Who would've ever though Brian would listen.
First puzzle was also in Stargate SG-1.
Got it as soon as it was shown on screen down the side. :)
i wanna say im being 100% truthful on the first puzzle i solved it and i write down everything as brian did and didnt get any of it wrong at all
