It seems like divine intervention that Paul ran across the file of GSK and with his background and tenacity was the perfect person to crack this case. So grateful for him.

Could of got caught in 77 if Sacramento Sheriff Duane Lowe had not nixed a sit down with Visalia Police. Sacramento DA had the crime lab and the CSI folks would have looked at the evidence and seen the similar factors. Bone Head Sacramento cops theorized that different shoe sizes were connected in Visalia differed from Sacramento attacks. Knowing full well this was common among garden variety cat burglars to wear extra socks to increase shoe size. D'Angelo was the Cordova Meadows burglar of 71-73 and these crimes matched similar to evidence to Visalia. The taking of or ripping of family photos, laying out of women's underwear, placing chairs near open windows for quick escape, turning off heating/air conditioner were all similar and were never fully vetted. But big egos, politics, allowed a killer highly skilled in crime scene techniques to avoid capture.

I remember his police boss saying in an interview that De Angelo was not a very good policeman and was always been spoken to. He had trouble taking directions from others

Great interview, I still think Michelle deserves more attention for her input in the Golden State killer, all in all they’ve all done a great job 👏 ✝️

The question about criminals watching was kind of answered by the idaho case. Everyone makes mistakes

Currently reading Paul's book. It's very good. Unfortunately it's also very sad to see that his tenacity in solving crimes was a trade off for being a present father and husband.

Deangelo was a very spiteful man. He did not accept people that challenged him. When people made him angry he remembered and he retaliated against them. He was smart and patient and relentless in his pursuit of targets but he had the self control to abort an attack when circumstances were not favorable to his success. I believe he did not stop in 1986, rather, I believe he changed his MO so law enforcement would not link the cases and disposed of his victims in locations where they would not be found or if they were found it would be so delayed that DNA was not collectable.
I believe he was sill stalking woman shortly before he was arrested.

@@georgewagner7787 wow, a mom chose to raise her children while her husband worked!!! That's outrageous! Adults making choices on how to handle their own family! You should tell them how they SHOULD have made decisions for their family. Maybe you could write a guide book on how others should live their lives. Or even better have a law passed that tells people what decisions they should make that you approve of.🤡

@@travelfoodielove it made no difference to the feds and police trying to catch him. You think they gave the slightest shit about her book sales and not just catching the dude who got away with it for 40 years?
Paul was the hero, the Xanex ODing lover didnt do shit tocatch him. NOTHING. Paul Holes chased him for 30 years, and linked EAR and ONS cases. She wrote some boring book paul never read

Not just Americans! I think it’s about learning about those who frighten us and our desire to understand the pathology behind crime. For me, it’s about catching the bad guys and how it’s done.
