I've got a different radio with openTX but you explain it all so nice and clearly that I could set up my radio in one go of the video. Awesome👍🏼Keep up the good work👌🏼
Its still a very useful tutorial for those starting this part of the hobby- no more pain in the ass with this configurations really..but often there are other troubles and he knows, for example, receivers from frsky qx7 so mix the channels for some reason, (including pretending, for example, a right-handed trhrottle that you can not figure out what is what and then there is a problem with setting anything
+Painless360 I'm headed out now for the maiden. I am using a cheap $8 camera and a 1258ghz pico vtx that is very light weight. I originally purchased the vtx combo for a micro hubsan x4 and I did I nice build video for it. unfortunately the vtx harmonics stepped on my radio signal which reduced my range to about 15 feet... not so good for fpv lol.
You saved my day. I've got a Jumper T12, your vid is helpful there too. Hi there Painless, I haven't bothered you for a while, which means that your tutorials have served me very well. A huge THANKYOU for all your excellent work. I got a new flying wing out the other day (one servo in each wing). I have done a basic set up, and all is good. Now I would like to add an adjustable camber, or reflex, using a switch and GV1 adjusted by rotary switch S1. I have got that working partially. (Sticks are operating the surfaces as they should) When I flick a switch (SB-) I am able to adjust both elevons down (camber) with the slider from its centre point, but when I try to adjust the elevon past neutral to reflex (upwards) the elevons adjust downwards again. Please can you help me out. (I am settting up my Taranis plus manually, and don't use companion) Go With the Flow Bruce

Hi Painless, another great info video. I've been wanting to know this very program, I have an old wing I've been thinking of re-berthing. Can this program also be used for flaperons? and be given a switch to turn the function on and off. Many Thanks.
Thanks for the video. I'm trying to set my wing up with the buddy box on the 9xd. But the buddy box doesn't seem to mix the flaps but when not using the trainer option it works fine. Any ideas. I'm trying to help my son learn the wing
@@Painless360 all sorted now, i had dual channels setup up on the slave transmitter, dual channels were only needed on the master and basic channels on the slave, only problem now its a bit fast for my son to control lol
HI painless, there is something in this mix better the original? it's not another way to the same place? and, the last. Usually the flying wings have less travel in elevator movement comparing with the aileron travel. How can I do It??? please. And thanks for your videos.
I have a wing set up with APM2.6. I am getting the Elevon function via the setup in Mission Planner. This seems ok on the bench. Is this the correct way to go or should I be using the Taranis to achieve the Elevon function?
For some reason even though I have adjusted the mixes, the elevon works fine in pitch up or down, but the aileron is backwards. When I move the stick to the right the right aileron goes down. I've tried swapping the servo cable on the receiver but it still reacts the same. What am i missing here. My mixes match what you have as well.
A question from a rookie. I did all this with a X6R and it works. In my opinion the other channels are free. Chn 4 I thought to use Pan / Tilt servo. But no output. Also Chn 5+6 dont work. What is wrong? I tried Stick, Switch, Poti & Slider. Nothing goes.
+KartOpa51 impossible to say without actually looking at the model memory you've created. You've probably missed a step, it's easy to do. I'd have a go at recreating it from scratch to see if you can make it work without the problem. Best of luck!
It works, don't know why. But next problem, Failsafe ! My X6R is normaly easy to do. If i want FS with a light left turn, so i set +25 /+25. So i want a little Elv plus. So i set +35/-15. Is this way right ?
If you mean the 50/50 mix between aileron and elevator controls into the elevon, then having more than 100 in total can mean that you have maximum movement of the servo with no more movement for the additional control. You can do things like make it 40/60 if you want more roll control than pitch or vice/versa... Happy flying!
I've been wanting to add a custom track to the Taranis's on-board TX battery low voltage warning, is that at all possible? I have not found a way to do that as yet.
iflylilplanes If you look in the 'Sounds' directory on the SD card in the TARANIS you will find a directory called 'System'. All of the system warning files are in there. Find the one you want to change by playing them and then replace it with a new audio file with the same name to change it. Best of luck.
