This is the 3rd installment of Did it Survive, there I'm taking the ordinal enemies from the legend of Zelda and do a short general breakdown of how they have changed over the years!
In Wind Waker, if you do the side quest where you collect figures, when you get the octorok one, it says "perfect attendance" because they'd been in every game up to that point. Very weird that they thought to call out it's perfect attendance in WW then let it fall away for TP.
That’s actually a really good point, that’s insane to make a point to say that then be like “nah fam” and take them completely out. They could have worked pretty well in any of the wooded areas or filled in some of the empty space in the fields in TP, but that was before they had the the ones that popped out of the ground so it might just not have been possible at that time? 🤔
Great video! I would like to see Pols voice make its return soon, I agree with you on that one! It would be cool to see it in a 3D non-top down Zelda game.
@@Bashfulday If you haven't already thought about it, you should totally do like a mini-episode for the items from the first game too. I'm curious how many actually show up again
I completely forgot about that guy! I’m going to make one long video at the end of this series and add in stuff like this I have over looked so there is new content in the final video as well!

Oh hell yes, someone else who enjoys blathering about Zelda enemies as much as I do. Hope you don't mind if I chime in with some knowledge, I've been studying these bastages for decades. I assume the 3d octaroks are always stationary because it's hard to animate tentacles crawling, but I have always been disappointed by that. Leevers have always confused me, because no game has ever truly made it clear what they are.. plants, or worms with plantlike structures for camouflage? It's tricky. I got a little confused by this video and thought you were saying "Did it survive (the third Zelda game)?" lol. Probably because the interrobang is surely part of the title, but it came after the number. but I'm the only one who ever refers to Zelda games by number...
Feel free to geek out here, I love it! I also changed it to pt3 not Zelda 3, I don’t call them by numbers so I forgot there might be some confusion. My dad calls AoL Zelda 2, also refers to the second quest in the legend of Zelda as Zelda Q2 haha short hand is everything around here. For my ease I have all of the games written down in abbreviations,so it looks like gibberish to any non-player 😂😋

I never understood why they acknowledged the one enemy that was in every game, then immediately snubbed them in the next game.
This is such a great series! The original LoZ will forever be one of my favorite games, you’re doing it a great service.

Just a small note, there is also the Mucktorok boss in Tears of the Kingdom, which I believe is considered a variant of the ocktoroks
